“The world will never take my heart.” ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ ✗ Kana entered the summit and saw that two people engaged in conversation, Kana recognized them from earlier. One was Johnny, she remembered him because he’d lit his pants of fire and the other….well she was that girl who’d looked worried earlier when the injured men had come back from their missions.
By the looks on both of their faces, Kana could tell they were engaged in a somewhat deep conversation or at least one of importance. She didn’t want to interrupt them but she wanted to say hello, maybe make a friend for the first time in years. It wasn’t like she was an unpleasant person, just painfully shy. She could just leave but that would be awkward, seeing as that Kana was pretty sure they both saw her.
“Um, hi guys. I’m Kana. Sorry if I’m intruding on something important” her voice was a little shaky with nerves. “I’m very sorry, I was just out for a walk, trying to clear my head. I can leave if you guys want me to.” The blonde offered. I hope I didn’t interrupt something really import and now they hate me. Kana worried mentally to herself.

 Ƞιx Gallen XI’m walking alone on a never-ending road.
XIt starts to rain, but I don’t open my umbrella.
XWhose smile is reflected in the puddle?
XIt appears and disappears shortly after.
X▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Nix was shocked to hear Johnny call her cute, as far as she could remember no one ever called her that. She wasn't sure how to react to that, it was clearly a nice thing to say but it could've been a tactic to get her guard down. Luckily she wouldn't have had to think on it too long when the boy continued to speak. He was going to protect her? For some reason the very statement angered her a little. If he wanted to protect her then where was he when she needed help the most!? "I don't need protection. I can take care of myself just fine.. My past is none of your business. I have no memories of where I came from, that's all I'll tell you. As for what I'll do.. I'm not sure.. I've been so used to moving from one world to the next it's strange to be placed on one world to live."
Nix said and stopped to look at Kana. She was the blond haired girl that spotted her in the Forecourt, the one who wasn't handling the sight of blood well. 'If she can't handle the sight of blood then she won't be a reliable ally in battle.' The girl thought before sighing a bit. "We weren't talking about anything important.. I'm Nix, I guess it's.. Nice to meet you?" She said, a little unsure of if she introduced herself correctly. It was still strange that she now had to interact with all these people, all she wanted to do was be somewhere alone like she always was. Trust Level : Johnny and Kana

 Johnny Kurusel Mandango "No matter how dark it gets, I know I'm not alone." ┈ ━ ═ ☆ ═ ━ ┈ Johnny frowned as he listened to Nix speak. When she turned to speak with the newcomer, he turned as well and smiled at her. "Hey, you're the girl I saw back at the Forecourt. I don't remember if I even properly introduced myself or not. The name's Johnny Mandango. I prefer to just be called Johnny though y'know?" Walking over to her, he reached out a hand and gently shook hers, whether she offered it or not. "There's no reason to be afraid. It's nice to make friends, and nobody should be alone right now. It, umm...it actually kind of looks like you need one. You don't look too well. Did something happen while I was up here?"
He looked at the two women curiously for a moment before remembering what Nix said moments ago. Turning to face her, he peered calmly into her face, simply smiling at her for a moment. "Y'know Nix, you should smile more often. I bet you've got a real pretty smile. Besides that, I have no idea what happened to you before, but you have a home here with all of us now and that's a darn good thing. It means a fresh start, new friends, great allies that will look out for you, and more. Being alone...it's just not fun. After losing both of my parents, I was alone. I struggled to just survive. I had to hold a job and go to school and still feed myself, visit the store to buy groceries, the works. I became so sick, and I had absolutely no one by my side to see me through that time. I was dying, just like my parents had before me. And with nobody by my side to see me through it, I just refused to go out like that. I wanted to live for my parents, and I wanted to make a difference before I died. My own willpower is what got me through that time, and I graduated high school, I started doing that job full-time, I got promoted, the works."
With a sigh, he rubbed his forehead and turned to look at Kana for a moment, simply smiling at her before turning back to Nix. "And then the Heartless came. They stole life after life after LIFE! Leading them were two people with yellow eyes! They just GRINNED at me as they let their little pets steal life after life! It wasn't just the Heartless I tried to fight, it was those two men as well! I may not have lasted very long, but I bought those children, and probably many other people, a chance to escape at the cost of losing my own life. It may not have been much, but I made a difference at that moment. I don't know who those people are, but looking at you, it seems to me like you do and you've had some troubles before. So I will make you this promise: I will protect you from them. No harm will come to you ever again as long as you are with us here in Protega! I'm going to get stronger, I'm going to gain more confidence, and nobody, nobody here will die as long as I have a say in it!"
After his speech, he turned away from her and lowered his head. "Listen Nix, hate me if that's what you wish to do. I honestly just don't care. I suck with girls. My parents weren't there to guide me in the whole 'girlfriend' department or how to treat women. I mean, respect, being nice, that's pretty much all I got from them. But how to really talk with them, or even how to get a girlfriend and what I should do, none of that was there for me. And after they were gone...it was just those womanizers and a-holes. Not one of them actually cared for the women they dated. They just used them as 'fun things'." Grumbling, he slapped himself in the face and groaned. "I can't even remember the point I was trying to make with that. However, I want you to know that I'll be your friend. You can place your trust in me, even if I wasn't around before. Even if I'm not worthy of that trust. Okay?"
Turning to face her once again, he smiled kindly. Then he turned to Kana and looked into her face. "And you, don't be so shy okay? You are more than welcome to stay up here and talk with us. I'd like to be your friend, and I think that the two of us can learn how best to use our keyblades, and whatever magic we might possess, together. Something tells me that you'll make one fierce fighter. You'd be better than me, I'm pretty sure of that." The young man chuckled a bit and placed a hand on her shoulder, gently gripping it. "You need to smile as well okay? Whatever happens, we'll be there for one another all right? It seems like there's some really good people here, so I think we'll all be all right. But seriously though, what happened down there?" Johnny's look now took on a bizarre turn as he stared there looking into Kana's face with a rather puzzled look. It actually looked pretty strange.

“The world will never take my heart.” ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ ✗ Alright, Nix and Johnny, that was easy enough to remember. “It’s nice to meet both of you.” A brief smile appeared across her face before it disappeared again. Johnny then mentioned that she didn’t look too well and the blonde gave a little nod. “Yeah, some people who were injured showed up and there was a lot of blood. I almost got sick, I feel a bit better now though.” She gave a little bit of a nervous laugh. Kana was most definitely socially awkward. When was the last time I had a real conversation with someone, other than my parents, outside of school? I can’t even remember.
Johnny continued to talk, well maybe ramble was more of an accurate statement about what he was doing but that was fine with Kana, she wasn’t much of a talker anyways. She had a feeling Nix wasn’t much of a talker either. His life story made her kind of sad. He had no parents and was already living a hard life when that life was completely obliterated by the heartless and some yellow-eyes individuals. As far as Kana knew, her world was still safe and sound.
Kana was a bit taken back when Jonny told her to not to be shy be shy and that he wanted to be her friend. She looked at the ground, shyly. Johnny telling her not to be shy wasn’t really working but then he said something about her being a fierce fighter and Kana laughed. A genuine laugh, not a nervous one.
“Me? A fierce fighter? Seriously? I couldn’t even handle the sight of blood.” Apparently when she thought something was funny she came out of her shell a bit. I hope he doesn’t think I was laughing at him but the idea of me being a good fighter is ridiculous. Even back when I was little and I used to play on the island with those wooden swords, I always lost to the other kids. Kana smiled a little at the memory and went back to being her normal, shy self as she came back to reality. But anyways…Thanks, I’ll it as a compliment. Also…I’d like to be friends with you too…both of you. I didn’t really have any back home…” Kana stopped herself. Her life wasn’t some sob story. Her life was a good some compared to what Johnny had just said moments ago. All she had lacked in hers was friendship but she still had her parents, a home, and never had to worry about anything really.
Johnny then gripped Kana’s shoulder and told her she needed to smile more. Her, smile? Eh. She could try. He asked her about what had happened back there, she assumed he meant back at forecourt. “Do you mean what happened back at Forecourt? Basically what I said before. One guy showed up and he was a bloody mess, then I almost got sick. Not long after that another guy shows up injured and I nearly lost it. I’m a bit squeamish…I suppose I’ll get used to blood though if I stay here or so it seems…” Her voice trailed off and she shudder a bit. The idea of getting used to blood wasn’t a pleasant idea at all. “Then most of the people ran off to the hospital wing. I think there’s only two people or so back in forecourt but I wasn’t really paying attention when I left.”

Here he was telling her how 'hard' he had it back on his world as if he had it the worst among them. He was still spouting nonsense about protecting her. Did he think she couldn't protect herself? That she was some frail damsel looking for her knight to swoop in and save the day? Enough was enough when he claimed she could put her trust in him. He had to earn that trust. Not just say that he was trustworthy, one needed to prove it. "You say I should smile more?..The reason why I don't smile is because there is no reason to smile. I have forgotten how to smile over these years so don't try telling me I should start now.. And you want to go on and on about how you had it rough? Oh you had to go to school and get a job and even got sick? Poor poor thing.. You could actually afford food, had friends, had a place to live but were alone? That's the saddest story I ever had to hear.. not." Nix hissed glaring daggers at Johnny as she stood there. Black sparks started to dance around the marking under her right eye and her left arm. Her anger was rising and she was fighting to keep it from boiling over. "Don't you start bitching to me about your life when you didn't have to literally fight to survive every day! When you didn't have to rely on pure will power to make it through near starvation! When you didn't have to face the fact that no one would be helping you! That you were all alone.. And.. You didn't have to suffer pains worse than death.. Pain that left you begging for death.. I don't need you to protect me. I don't need a fresh start because the past is always there! You can't erase it like it was never there! The last thing I need is someone who can't even control their magic saying such nonsense! It's no wonder you lost to those two Guild members. You. Are. Weak... And you, Kana.. If you don't toughen up and get used to the sight of blood you will get killed on your first mission. The Heartless go after the weakest person first and if you don't get stronger you will be their first target." Nix's words seemed to be dripping with venom as she spoke to Johnny and Kana. She wasn't holding anything back as she snapped at them with sharp words. Sure the things she said were rude, mean, hurtful, and cold.. But she didn't care. Well.. It was more like she didn't know. She hadn't been around people in so long that she possibly forgot the proper way to speak to them. What and what not to say to them. With her lecture being over Nix stomped away, heading down to the Mountain Path. Though she stopped to say one last thing. "If you really think I can trust you or that you can protect me in the least.. Prove it."Quote: Nix has left for the Mountain Path! Trust Level : ---

It was understandable for her to snap at him though, once she elaborated that her life had been somewhat of a nightmare. Kana basically stood there while Nix let a good majority of her anger out on Johnny and then, of course, she turned on Kana.
Tears welled up in Kana’s eyes. She’d only just gotten there, she didn’t deserve that. Did she? Tears began to fall down her face. Great, now she's going to see me cry. Kana buried her face in her gloved hands and started to hiccup from trying to stop herself from crying. Luckily, for her, Nix left her to cry with Johnny.

The look in her eyes and the sparking, wait...sparking? Man, that was weirder than anything that had just happened. The girl's eye was radiating something evil. At any other time, this would have sent chills down the young man's spine, but her words were hitting every raw nerve he had in his body. Every word was like venom coming from that woman, and it was working in a strange way. There was an anger bubbling up inside Johnny like never before. And then she had the nerve to just walk off before he could offer a retort?! Oooo, there was nothing worse to him than that little b***h! Johnny had been nothing but nice to that little punk and that was how she acted?! That girl had a lot to learn about making friends and being kind to people. She wasn't going to make it far in this group with a shitty attitude like that.
Without really thinking, Johnny walked past Kana for a moment and began shouting down after Nix loud enough that he knew she'd be able to hear him. "I've never had any true friends Nix! But you?! Until you change your goddamn attitude, you'll never have any! You don't even deserve any friends until you can improve yourself as a person! You say I didn't fight to survive?! That I didn't have it bad as you?! Newsflash b***h! IT'S NOT A COMPETITION!!!!!! I bet you anything that every single one of us here has had it rough at one point or another, it doesn't matter which one of us had it worse or not, it's about bonding together, making friends, and fighting to protect not only innocent people, but each other as well! If you had any sense you would have realized that before you opened your mouth! I don't care what the ******** happened to you in the past, you've no right to say I haven't suffered as well! I'm not asking for ******** pity! I struggled to survive. It may not have been the same way you have, but I struggled every freaking day after my parents died. But instead of giving into my anger, my sadness...I fought. You obviously don't understand what that's like. So y'know what? Go suffer alone, you'll never have any friends because you won't earn them! If this is how you treat people who try to be kind to you, you can just sit here in wherever the hell we are and ROT!!!!"
Johnny turned to walk back over to Kana, but upon seeing her, the anger rose again and he turned to shout back down at Nix. "And don't you EVER say anything like that to Kana again! You don't have any idea what she's capable of! None of us do! She has a strong heart, and she deserves to be here! Your attitude puts you with those assholes that took my planet!!! If you want to be an evil little s**t like them, WHY DON'T YOU RUN OFF AND BE WITH THEM?!!!"
Once he had finished shouting, he turned back around and noticed what was going on with Kana. His heart began to hurt and he walked quietly over to her. Without a word, he wrapped his arms around the young girl and pulled her close. Without even realizing what he was doing, he placed a gentle kiss atop her head. "Don't cry. Please don't let her words get to you. Whatever missions you go on, I promise I'll be there all right? So wait for me and don't go anywhere without me. We'll train together, and together we'll get better. I'll help you get over your fears and I promise that you'll never be hurt as long as I'm there. Yes, at the moment I kind of suck, but I think magic ties in not only with willpower, but the confidence to use it. If you're unsure of yourself...heh, it makes more sense y'know? Now, let's see your face."
Johnny placed the girl's chin in his hand and raised her head so he could see her pretty face. Using his thumbs, he wiped the tears from her face and kissed her forehead afterwards. "There. All better right? What do you say to visiting the Medical Wing? Not exactly sure where that is, but I know we'll find it. You're worried about those people as well, so I want to accompany you there so you'll see that they'll be all right. I promise." He put on a goofy grin and held out his arm, motioning for her to lead the way.

“The world will never take my heart.” ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ ✗ Kana stood there crying and hiccupping, barely hearing Johnny’s shouts at Nix as she stood their having her own personal pity party. She did manage to hear Johnny defending her that made her smile a tiny into her hands. Though she did sort of feel bad for Nix, Kana didn’t feel like she deserved to be yelled at but maybe Nix didn’t deserve to be screamed at either.
Johnny came over and gave her a big hug and kissed her forehead. “Thanks.” she hiccupped. He told her that he’d go one all her missions with her and that he’d keep her safe. That was very reassuring. It’s nice to finally have someone in my corner. She thought. He helped wipe her tears away and she smiled a little bit. “Thanks again but I really don’t want be such a bother. You don’t have to go on every mission with me and stuff. I’ll have to lean to fend for myself eventually.” she smiled a little again.
Johnny suggested they head to the Medical Wing to check on the ones who’d come back injured. Kana nodded. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, let’s get going.” Kana then started toward the castle. It was so massive she hoped once they were inside they’d be able to find the
Medical Wing.

With a sigh, he looked in the direction Nix had left in. I'm sorry Nix...but I can't apologize to you yet. You need to take a moment to think on the points I tried to make. You don't need to leave if you're meant to be here, but you should think on everything for a little while. I'll apologize to you later. Frowning, he looked towards Kana and smiled at her. Heh, knew she'd be a tough nut. She'll do really well here, probably better than I will. With a chuckle, Johnny left the Summit and followed after Kana. Quote: Johnny has left for the Medical Wing.

┗━━━━━━━━━┛ ⋫The redhead strolled up the mountain, trying to make sense of all that was going on. Not only her own situation, but everything else. As she walked along, she stared at the ground, very much deep in thought. Her keyblade was pretty cool, though, she mused with a slight grin that faded moments later. What was with all those wounded people? What kind of fight did they get into? Surely it couldn't have been Heartless, she's never seen them do that kind of damage, almost killing people. Now that she thought about it, she very well could've stayed and tried to help. But after all, she wouldn't be of too much use. For one, she wasn't medically trained at all, even after being on her own for so many years. (She would always "tough it" out, something she picked up from her brothers.) And being claustrophobic, she wouldn't be able to concentrate, much less keep herself functioning. Becoming one of the patients wasn't going to help anyone, hence her reason for leaving. Sitting down on the makeshift bench, Annmarie, folded her arms, sitting lazily like a boy would. It was darn habits, not having her fussy mother around caused her manners to falter. Thankfully, though, she was able to maintain her own table manners, if that helped any. She stretched her arms over her head, stretching, then placed them behind her head, looking out over this new location. Land of Departure, right? She was pretty sure that's what Georgia said.. So what now? What was she supposed to do? Somehow, Annmarie didn't see herself as some sort of hero, though inwardly she actually wanted it. But she had to wonder, would she be able to help at all? Sure, she'd go and cause trouble trying to help, but would she make things worse instead? In her mind, that was what the scenario looked like it would turn out. And she didn't like it very much.. ⋪┏━━━━━━━━━┓

Before turning into a beautiful symphony? ♫ ☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰ The walk here was painful and long.. Nix knew she should've stayed in bed and rest but she hated the feeling of being stuck in one place for too long. So she was sitting on the bench that let her look at the wide view of the Land of Departure. She looked down at one of her bandaged wrists and sighed a little to herself. ".. Who was that?.. I have a brother or was that.. Just a dream?" The woman muttered to herself before looking up at the sky. 'I feel like something is going to happen.. Why do I keep remembering something called Castle Oblivion? Oh well. It's not like I can go anywhere right now.'
Nix opened and closed her hands, making sure she still had feeling in them. Whoever that man was, he didn't destroy her wrists, just merely pinned her up like a rag doll. "I hope Johnny will be okay.. He was still asleep when I got up. Also I attacked the others. I wonder.. if I will be able to snap out of it if it happens again. Will they have to kill me next time?" ☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰ ♫

Rashir Fenrick - Keyblade Wielder They say every star is another world... Rashir came to the summit, still a little drowsy with his hands on his head. He yawned, rubbed his eyes, and stretched, noticing someone as his eyes came back into focus. He noticed she was focused on her wrists, but did not want to start anything this early in the morning. He simply walked over to her and politely said five simple words, "Morning. You new here too?"
If she had been here a while, maybe she could explain a few things to him about why they were here. If not, then at least he would not be the only one at least somewhat wondering what all of this was for. Either way, he was hoping to make new friends.

The Turks :±:■:±:■:±:■:±:■:±: Sure enough, upon reaching the Summit, the Turk spotted Nix almost immediately. Who the heck is that guy? Grumbling at the presence of another guy on the scene, Reno shrugged and walked past him, not even bothering to give him a nice 'Hello'. Once he reached Nix, Reno sat down beside her and smiled kindly as he held out the flowers for her. "Hey, I picked these for you. Found 'em earlier."
Leaning back, he stared up into the sky and sighed. "You should be resting Nix. Not moving about and straining your poor body. You're hurt and need to heal. What if your wounds had opened up again huh?" Turning, he looked her in the eyes and smiled. "Don't go making me worry about you, ya cutie. Let me handle stuff. You get yourself healed up and lookin' good again. Then you can come join me on some missions okay?" Leaning closer, he gently kissed her cheek and hugged her close.
