Selia gasped when Sebastian carried her, only to be set down in such a short amount of time.
Turning to see the neko wolf march out of the forest, Selia loaded her bow. Setting her arrow on fire and adding a paper bomb, she let the arrow fly towards the mechanical wolf in front of her. The arrow pierced it between the eyes, and the paper bomb exploded. Blue blood of the neko and sparks of the machine rained down after the explosion, only to reveal more of the neko abominations. Reaching to her waist, Selia pulled out throwing stars, attaching paper bombs with incredible speed. Handing some to Sebastian, she took aim and threw. More explosions filled the air. The neko's forces slowly decreased. But they fought back. Before long, Selia had to dodge the arrows they shot back. One caught in her skirt, and one missed her head by inches. A neko took aim at Sebastian, but Selia reacted faster, loading her own bow and shooting the neko in the eye with a paper bomb. "We make a decent team!" Selia said as she threw more stars. Backing up against Sebastian, she smiled. It was like training, only she had a partner who knew what he was doing. "Aim for the eyes, it damages them most." Selia yelled over the latest string explosions she had set off.

Ryan ran out of the woods, hearing the explosions ahead. Stopping a few feet from the battle, he saw where the explosions were from. A teenage girl with long blonde hair was throwing stars with paper bombs and a boy with his back to to her. Poison arrows flew through the air, almost hitting to two, but the dodged faster than the eye could see. It was like the arrows flew through them. Seeing a neko approaching the pairs blind spot, Ryan jumped through the air and landed on top of the neko, pinning it down. "What's up with these neko's?" Ryan huffed as he killed the animal human machine. Standing up, Ryan joined the group of fighters. Glancing at the girl, he saw the tattoo on her collar bone. Well what do we have here? Ryan thought as he through a knife at a nako's throat.

Sebastian smirked at Selia's comment. He quickly attached the paper bombs knife after knife. He threw them after attaching them, knowing where the targets were. He adjusted his feet on the ground, feeling the waves and movements of every one around him. Just by placing his feet on the ground, he could tell exactly where every one was.
The elves attacked with them. Some fell to the floor motionless with bullets in their necks. Boothe sprinted out of his store with a bolster sword in each hand. He yelled as he sliced the necks of the machines one by one. Boothe stumbled back when receiving a large blow to the stomach from one of them. Luckily his fat seemed to protect him at that point. He continued pushing himself and attacking them.

Selia ran out of arrows and stars. Stumbling through the smoke, she tripped on a sword of a fallen elf. Saying a quick prayer to wish him luck in his afterlife or reincarnation, Selia took the sword. "Not my thing, but it will have to do for the time being." Selia muttered under her breath as she ran back into the heat of the battle. Launching herself into the air, Selia brought the blade down on the neko machines, recieving a bullet in her leg as she was in mid air. Selia began to panic. She looked around frantically, trying to find Sebastian or Boothe. She could find neither.
Ryan pinned himself on the nearby building, using his sword to slice away the enemy. Sweat dripped down his face as the neko's continued to press onward. But the numbers began to decrease, and soon the last neko fell to the ground. Ryan slid to the ground, breathing heavy. "I wonder what happened to that girl out there." He said between breathes.

Sebastian moved to the side to avoid getting a bullet pierced through his head, but it took off a small part of his ear. He yelped at the blow, and threw his last paper bomb at the neko. After running out of knives, he took out a katana in each hand and sprinted to a group of nekos, slicing them one by one, dodging blows. Suddenly he fell to the ground when receiving a blow to the head with the strong neko's paw. Sebastian's vision became blurry. He slowly rose, trying to keep balance. The neko snorted and Sebastian quickly stabbed it before it could kill him. Sebastian stumbled through the smoke alone. "Selia! Boothe!" he called. There were no nekos in sight, just a few motionless elves and nekos on the dirt ground. Sebastian put one katana away, and gripped his wounded head with his free hand. "Selia! Boothe!" he called again.
As he continued to walk, he found Boothe lying on the ground. "Boothe!" he ran to his side and knelt down to him. He was alive, and gripping his leg. There was a large gash in his thigh from a neko's claw. He helped Boothe up and put Boothe's arm on his shoulder so he could carry him. Sebastian's vision became blurrier and he was becoming weaker. "Selia!" he yelled.

Hearing Sebastian's voice brought relief, but when she saw his figure through the smoke, the feeling quickly faded. Slowly standing, Selia stumbled over the where her friend was. Blood ran down Sebastian's face, sourcing from his ear. "Are you okay?" Selia whispered as she got closer to her friends. Pulling a bullet out of her calf, she examined Sebastian's ear and Boothes leg. Pulling up a cape from the ground, Selia tore strips off. Wiping the blood off from around Boothes wound, Selia saw how much Sebastian's ear was bleeding. "You should sit. You've lost a lot of blood." Selia said, gently pushing down on his shoulder with her free hand. Selia knelt down as well, knowing it would only be a matter of time until her own leg began to take a toll on her conscious. She could feel it now, but Boothe was the worry, and Sebastian as well. "Put this in your injuries and apply pressure to keep the blood from running as much." Selia instructed wearily as she handed Sebastian strips of the cape. She put all her weight on Boothes injury, hoping her light frame would be enough.
Ryan smiled as he approached the trio of elves. Seeing all the blood on the heavier one, he became concerned. Jogging up to them, he knelt down. "Is everyone okay?" He asked, worry etched on his face as he looked at the wound in the boys ear and the mans leg, and the worry became panic when he saw the wound on the girls leg.

Sebastian was much too dizzy and wary to speak. Instead of using the piece of cape for himself, he quickly tied it tightly around Selia's leg where her wound was before she could push him away. He weakly lifted his head to the stranger. He felt his head, finding a large lump. Definite concussion.. he thought with a frown. He looked over at his friend. Seeing him like this was traumatizing to him. Boothe has never been injured, only once, when he accidentally cut off his finger instead of the meat. But the healer attached it back, and it is still able to function.
Boothe lay on the ground, his vision going into a blur then coming back to normal, and a blur again. He barely moved, in fear of knocking out. They wouldn't be able to carry his over four hundred pound self. Boothe only made the cape tighter on his wound. Then he shuttered. Was he going to turn into them now? Or would his elven blood get rid off the neko's virus? He shook off the thought.

Selia sighed as Sebastian tied the cape piece on her instead of holding it to his wound as she told him. She leaned over and tied another piece of cape around Sebastian's head, covering his ear. "No, I need proper utensils to heal them." Selia nodded to Boothe and Sebastian as she answered the stranger.
Ryan stared as the girl answered, watching her hands tie the strips of cloth around her friend. "Well what do you need? I can scavenge around in the less destroyed part of town." Ryan leaned down, tying the strip of cape on her leg tighter as more blood poured out from underneath it.
Selia listed off everything. "Needle, thick thread or thin wire, strong mint liquor, and bandages, and water of course. Maybe a fine tipped knife." Selia let her head fall onto Boothe's stomach, hoping he wouldn't feel it. The blood loss had begun to take it's toll. Turning her head to look at Sebastian, she spoke softly. "What were those things?" Selia closed her eyes, still holding the pressure on Boothe's leg by sitting on it.
Taking off the minute Selia had finished her sentence, Ryan found everything, but took his time heading back. The death toll will be huge... He noted as he saw the trio nearby.

Boothe could barely open his eyes. He began looking for something in his large pocket of his cargo pants. As he pulled his hand out, he was holding a medium-sized liquor bottle. Boothe handed it to Selia weakly with a breathy laugh. "I always carry around my liquor." his words slurred and his grammar was getting worse than before. Sebastian grunted and took off the cape. Blood covered the right side of his face, which was the side of the wounded ear. It finally stopped bleeding. "I don't need it. That's not what's making me so woozy." his eyes hung lazily. Gently, he rubbed the large knot on his head. "They're machines. Part neko." his eyes closed. Then the rest of his body lay on the ground, motionless. Boothe breathed deeply. "He'll wake soon." he rested his head on the dirt. It smelled so earthy, like the rest of the village did. Well, used to.

Selia sighed and pushed herself off of Boothe's leg, wincing when she sat down. Opening the bottle with her teeth, she let go of the gash completely, cringing at the torrent of blood that come out. Quickly pouring the contents of the bottle on Boothe's leg, Selia pushed the sides of the cut together and applying heavy pressure. Ryan arrived, handing the items Selia requested to her. Blood covered her. "Do you want help with this? It looks hard.." Ryan asked, sitting beside her and taking her place in holding the cut closed. "I think this will need the wire." He whispered. Selia began her work, sterilizing the needle and wire with the liquor Ryan brought. Sewing was the wound closed hardest part. Selia did her work quickly, and soon the blood flow stopped, and Boothe did not need her attention as much as before. She handed him the minty spirits, hoping it would ease any pain. "Drink up, it will help you sleep." Selia ordered. Turning her attention to Sebastian, she examined his ear. Blood had stopped flowing, but he was a mess. Taking a cloth and some water, Selia began to carefully wipe away the blood and grit on Sebastian's face. It looked peaceful in sleep, like it had only a few short hours ago. She looked at Ryan and smiled as she continued to wipe away the traces of blood on Sebastian's cheek. "Thank you. I'm Selia by the way." Ryan sighed at her angelic voice. "You're welcome. I'm Ryan." Ryan stayed by Boothe's side. He stared at the tattoo on her collar, wondering what it meant, but never asking.

Boothe winced but never made a sound, but a slight grunt because of his fear of needles. He did as he was told and gulped down the minty spirits. When it was gone, he tossed the bottle to the ground and let his arm drop. Boothe closed his eyes and waited for the scorching pain to ease.
Sebastian's eyes suddenly opened, and he grabbed Selia's wrist. He stared at her for a moment, and loosened his grip. His eyes dilated; his pupils barely there, making his bright, fluorescent green eyes become strangely brighter and vivid. "I'm sorry." he said as he gasped for air. Sebastian turned his head weakly at the stranger and narrowed his eyes. He doesn't look like a light elf.. he thought. "Who are you?" he growled. Sebastian quickly sat up, making his head throb.

Selia froze when Sebastian suddenly grabbed her wrist. "It's alright." She whispered, surprise still working its way out of her system. Selia let her head fall, not caring where it landed. She just wanted to lie down and sleep...
"Ryan. I'm not from here." Ryan replied, just as much venom in his voice as Sebastian's. Taking the wet rag from Selia, Ryan wiped away the blood from his arm. "I think your friend here needs some medical attention." Ryan said, gesturing to Boothe as he spoke. Ryan took a new cloth and and wiped away blood from Selia's cheek.

Sebastian glared at him harder. "Then why are you in my village? For all I know you could have attracted the enemy." he accused. He quietly thanked Selia for the care, then stood and walked over to Boothe with a slight limp, due to how dizzy he was. "It's alright, big guy." he forced a smile for Boothe's sake. He felt terrible. This is the only place Boothe knows. Sebastian knelt down to Boothe's side and ran his fingers over Boothe's wounds, trying to feel his pain. His hand jolted back at the shock of pain. Sebastian can't heal, but he can feel other's pain if he wanted to. Sometimes he can even transfer their pain into his body, making it leave theirs. But then that would suck him dry. Boothe forced his eyes open and held Sebastian's hand. "I'm fine, Sebastian." he assured him. "Just need to rest for a moment." He tightened the cloth, his leg now going fully numb.

Selia heard Sebastian's quiet words, but couldn't make them out. Everything was spinning and even though her eyes were closed, everything was too colorful and swirling. Selia felt herself fall in and out of conscience. Those bullets... have to tell Sebastian and Boothe..... Selia tried to open her eyes, tried to move her lips to form the words, tried to move. But she couldn't.
Ryan felt a rage build inside him. "I arrived in the middle of the attack. There is no way I could have led those neko machines here." Ryan glared at Sebastian, but let his gaze soften when he saw him with Boothe. Glancing at Selia, he saw how pale she was, and how much she was trying to say something. "Um.... I think something is wrong with Selia. How did she hurt her leg?" Ryan moved to her side, brushing the hair out of her face, hoping it would help him understand what she was attempting to say.

Sebastian let out a breathy laugh. "We'll deal with this later." he said to Ryan. He released Boothe's hand and knelt down by Selia. He himself was struggling to move, but they need him. Plus, he wouldn't dare keep Ryan in charge of healing them. Sebastian placed two fingers just below Selia's neck, and felt her pain. He sighed and took his hand off her, then cupped his two hands together, but left a small opening in the middle. Slowly, a green ball appeared in his hands and grew larger every second. Inside the ball-like object was what looked like vines and trees in a forest, dancing around. He pressed the ball on her chest, and pushed it harder until it was gone. Then he waited to see if she would be given enough energy to stay awake. No, he didn't take her pain nor did he heal her, but Sebastian is able to produce energy.
