Colette frowned when the red haired boil addressed her as 'Screamy,' completely distracted from the ghoul that greeted her, and quickly corrected him, "My name is not 'Screamy'."

The reaper folded her arms, insulted. "It's Colette."

She started moving as Barth did, not even waiting for a reply from the red head. "Well, I wanted to come here. It's supposedly much faster." The ghoul shoved her hands into her pockets, ready for a - hopefully - easy travel, "And you shouldn't go off alone. This is supposed to be 'dangerous'."

Personally, Colette wasn't worried much about any supposed 'danger'. She hadn't gotten hurt so far, and this place was pretty quiet. She was even going to go on her own if the need arose, but she was relieved that a fellow Krumm Car member was taking the center path too.

Hm. Colette then. West didn't really care, as long as they were all moving. Safety in numbers and all that. He took a deep breath, his eyes watering a bit at the minty freshness. What sorts of weirdos lived in a place like this? It was so still. He glanced around, not really paying attention to what the others were saying, instead keeping an eye out for more trees, or worse.

Her leg was injured but she found herself going right down the middle of CandyCane Lane, right after Barth and Colette. She'd be damned if she'd let them take on a suicide mission without some help. They were her responsibility after all and the others would have more support, more friends to back them up. Of course, she wasn't sure what good she'd be able to do them, especially in her condition. All she had with her was some yellow snow and some banged up limbs.

There were a lot more students here than she'd originally imagined. "Barth? Colette?" She was moving slower than usual but surely she hadn't fallen too far behind Barth. He moved pretty slowly most of the time.

Something bad waited for them here. She could feel it. An ominously joyful feeling, or was that the smell of peppermint? This place was too serene, too easy, too cheery. "Suicide," she mumbled. One for all and all for one.

New people. Well this was... interesting. West hadn't met many girls who were itching to fight, but here were a couple more to add to the growing list, happily bounding to their deaths. "'ere ta'get banged up, ladies?" he muttered, still mostly facing forward. "t's gonna be awesome." He heard the distinctly squishy and squeaky sounds that two people made when they smacked into each other and turned fully to see what it was, walking backwards down the striped path. Ah, well, at least Barth had a reason to lag behind now. Tripping pale girls. Very important.

Startled when a figure tumbled onto Barth, Colette thought something was attacking him until she realized it was a ghoul from Krumm. Worried that more were on their way, Colette looked back to where they had come from only to see Rain limping towards them.

"Damn it!" Colette murmured to herself, "They were supposed to go the other way."

A few of the Krumm had taken a beating from nothing other than trees on their way to the fork. What if they too followed her and Barth to this road? This was more than she wanted to worry about. She was the one to consider Candycane Lane in the first place - if someone from Krumm got severely wounded, she would feel all too responsible.

Making her way to Rain, Colette tried to help her along and questioned to ghoul heavily, "What are you doing here? And where are the others? They aren't coming too, are they?" Oh how she hoped they took some safer path.

Colette looked at Rain's wounded body and shook her head, complaining, "And there's no way you'll make it far like this."

The Reaper reached in her bag and took out her Carol of the Bells. She hated how the damn thing jingled every time she walked, but it was important to have.

"Here." She jingled it and healed Rain for +8 HP.

She didn't think it was good to use it already, they had just made it on to the lane, but Colette feared that Rain wouldn't last long without it.

When West spoke to get moving, Raziel more than agreed and did his best to keep in stride with the much taller boil. Another ghoul had arrived, a second reaper girl, and she had been screaming for Barth. After that several other students had crawled out of the woods.

How many was that now?... Let's see.. eight of them now? That was a fair sized group, if anymore came along it could be too many. Raziel hoped no one else would show up on the striped pathway to death.

Rain felt the oddest sensation as Colette jingled her bells. She could feel a tingling in her body, a warm and happy feeling. Her leg seemed to get most of the odd sensation and she stared in amazement as the dents filled out and her leg was returned to normal. At least, it appeared normal. She lifted it cautiously and bent it at the knee a few times.

"Colette! It's as good as new!" She hugged the reaper in gratitude, albeit rather briefly. "The others.. well, I think some followed Merope. And I believe others will be traveling North. I left a note telling them to follow their heart. That's what we all should have done from the beginning. Just let instincts guide us. Me? I'm adaptable. I see no path as completely beneficial over another. My worries stemmed solely from what others wanted and letting them decide for themselves lets me feel free. I guess you could say I came because this was the hardest path, and I didn't want you and Barth to be alone. I'm usually an excellent fighter. That tree just caught me off guard. We have Tset now as well," Rain added, waving the other ghoul over to them.

She turned to address the group of students gathered, "I'm Rain. Rain Rottingham. I was in charge of the Krumm car and I'm the student council president at Amityville. It's a pleasure walking this path with you and possibly dying by your side." She smiled and gave a thumbs up.

Certain death might be in her future but she wouldn't go down without a fight.

Rain is back at 25 hitpoints thanks to Colette's amazing healing skills.

Tsetsiliya brightened when Barth didn't jump down her throat. This was a good sign! Maybe she had chosen well after all! With Rain waving her over she felt all the more part of the group.

"I feel the same," she chimed in at the end of Rain's speech. Certain death? She honestly hoped not, but with the air so full of JOY and these peculiar creatures lurking everywhere.. one could never tell what was in the future. "B-but there is safety in numbers, so I hope that we be very much alright.. ?" Even then, she wasn't sure. Better to hope for the best but prepare for the worst, wasn't it? She patted her wreath for reassurance.

She turned when a familiar voice came calling, and the headless ghoul joined their party. "H-Hello!" she greeted. "I hope my sash is serving you well?" This was great! More people she was familiar with (even though not very much), and a steadily increasing number in her party. The thought that a larger group would attract more attention never even crossed her mind; to her, safety lay purely in large numbers. That was logical thinking, wasn't it?

When Jamais had mentioned something about getting out of there, the poludnica nodded. "L-let us continue, yes?" She, too, was eager to get through this unsettling place and go home. Now that Rain was healed up, traveling should be a little easier. She hoped so, anyway.
