1) Who invited you? If you weren't invited, then why did you join (wow, that sounds kinda rude lol) I am new to the site, and also new to fish keeping, and so thought it would be a good guild to join
2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned? I have just ordered my first fishtank, a 60L coldwater tank. I have also ordered the RSPCA guide to keeping fish, so hopefully that should give me enough information to start, although I'm looking to get more books and do more research before buying fish.
3) How long have you kept fish? Haven't as yet. We had a fishtank as a kid when I was growing up, I used to eat the fishfood from the dispenser. Thankfully I wasn't in charge of feeding the fish! (I was about 5, I have matured since then)
4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have? I would like to have a large fishtank and keep tropical fish of weird shapes and colours. Freshwater first though.

1) Who invited you? HisakiYuki001 ><;; like a month ago. I totally didn't see it. I feel bad!
2) What are your fish keeping experiences- Mainly Betta's. I've always had more than one at a time (separate, duh). At the moment, I have four living with me. Two Veil's, one Delta, and one Dragon Scale Plakat.
3) How long have you kept fish? Oh god, for ten years now? I'm new to having filtered tanks though as I usually kept the Betta's in 2.5's or 2 gallons and just changed them very frequently.
4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have? I'm working towards having Cichlid's. So I need to work my way up to a 55 or larger. ^^ NOW my dream set up is a Koi pond. But that's the very distant future. I need to own a yard and being in college doesn't lend well to having anything more than an apartment.
Nice to meet everyone! I'll try to be helpful. ;^;

Haaiii ggguiieeesss!
I was invited by Ammonia Spike. 3nodding
I've kept so many types of fish.. Although not -well-. Heh. I currantly have a 30 gallon up and running. I have 4 peppered cory, 6 danio, 4 gold barbs, and a pair of breeding krib cichlids. Hurray. I also have a 15 gallon planted tank. It has 5 rescued harliquin rasbora. Planting wise I have 6 small wisteria, 3 amazon swords, and a moss ball. I also have a 5 gallon plastic bin set up with a rescue crowntail betta chilling it in. He'll be in there until he grows all of his fins back. Some douche poured two betta cups together and the one I took home was the 'loser'. :l He'll go in with the Harley Quins :giggle: once fully healed.
Seriously for 4 years, got into it 5 years ago. I've had my 30 gallon running since August of '10. The 15 just got set up and cycled this last week. I seeded the tank with old filter media.
I really, really, really want a 110 gallon discus tank with cardinal tetra, and a large school of cory, and tiger snails, and red cherry shrimp! OOOoooOO

1) I found the guild by myself, I was looking to find a good forum for advice and discussion on fishkeeping
2) Most of my fish have been chiclids of some variety or another, I also have had a decent number of guppies, danios and tetras over the years. I had a crayfish for a while and most recently I've gotten a pair of dwarf flame gourami.
3) My family has had an aquarium in the house since I can remember, when I was little and we moved, our 55 gallon community tank went into storage and has been MIA ever since. However recently I got back into fish keeping, and am keeping a small tank (10 long), looking to upgrade in the next few months to a 30+ gallon tank once I feel confident that I can manage my aquarium perfectly.
4) I want to find my 55 Gallon setup and have a fully planted freshwater community tank. And I would really like to have a black ghost knifefish at some point

1) Ammonia Spike invited me. :3
2) All tropical, excluding my childhood bait shop shad/minnows. Cichlids, barbs, danios, catfishes, and bettas so far.
3) Oh... If I had to estimate, it would probably be close to 2-2.5 years now. But only seriously for 1.5-2 years of that. Fiance and I got a betta at first that we named Blutane, before we knew anything about proper fishkeeping. We changed that in a hurry. My Christmas gift to him that year, post-Dec., was a 29 bowfront. First fish were Red Minor Tetras and Giant Danios, one of whom is still with me today. That little betta is what started all that I have now.
4) Oh dear God, what DON'T I want! xD Proper setups and separations of species assumed, of course: Discus, Angels, (more) Bettas, Affies, Dwarf Cichlids, S.Am. Cichlids (Oscars included)... Maybe, eventually, a reef tank. I'd kill for batfish, but those would need a HUGE tank because of their size. I'm definitely going to do Bettas and Discus, though. I'm way too in love with the little spunky anabantoids to NOT do more Bettas in the future. xD Would love to do breeding for specific colors or specific tail type in them, but we'll see.

1) Saw a link in the pet forums.
2) Had a couple of fish when I was a kid, though can't for the life of me remember which ones. Now my husband and I are avid fish keepers who definitely "suffer" from MTS. Both our aquariums have live plants. At the moment we have:
- Angelfish - Black Skirt Tetras - Silvertip Tetras - Greenfire Tetras - Peppered Cories - Rainbow Sharks
3) Our 55 gallon we've had going since March. We got our 35 gallon in either May or June(can't remember).
4) Two goals for when we eventually have a house:
- Build a custom 250-300 gallon Lake Malawi aquarium. and - A 100 gallon Discus aquarium with hopes to breed.

1) Who invited you? If you weren't invited, then why did you join (wow, that sounds kinda rude lol) saw an advertisement in a different guild, is hoping the information in this guild will help me at work.
2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned? At home I own a few bettas and a 10gal tank, over the years i've had glofish, guppies, and the occasional platy, not a whole lot one can do with ha tiny 10 gal. I've also worked with freshwater for the last 5 years at my job (its what started me at home) and in the last year started dealing with saltwater also.
3) How long have you kept fish? for about 5 years now
4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have? a 40 breeder or such with a bunch of bottom feeders in it!

1) I randomly searched fish on the guild search since I love fish, it's what I study in college.
2) I work with a 400 gallon saltwater reef tank, with 20 something fish, tank on my campus, as the head aquarist. I own a harem of female bettas and a 55 gallon tank with 2 oscars and soon it'll have 2 jack dempseys and multiple others, still working it out. I've also bred cuttlefish and clownfish and raised seahorses.
3) Since I was little with my dad, but I left the hobby and picked it back up sophomore year of college
4) A saltwater tank system along with my freshwater tanks!

Welcome! Glad to see a new face around here (not that I don't love the old, recurring faces lol) Gaw, I'd love to get into saltwater some time. When I have more room and more money, and have no restrictions (other than those that I set for myself), I totally plan to lol

1) I looked it up and just joined because it looked interesting :3
2) If you mean real fish, I've had a few tetras, gold fish, popeyed gold fish and angel fish, also some aquatic dwarf frogs. As for Gaia, I've had cuttlefish, droops, octopii, one watermeat, goldfish, arrow fish, and the starter fish
3) a few years, my aquatic frogs are about 6 years old now, I've had my gaia fish for about 3 months, but I've always had at least one fish in my tank ever since I started
4) As for fish set up, I don't care just as long as I have a lot of little fishies

1) Who invited you? If you weren't invited, then why did you join (wow, that sounds kinda rude lol)
I joined because I am starting to be a more "serious" fish care taker.
2) What are your fish keeping experiences- What kind of fish have you owned?
I have owned bettas, shrimps, barbs, and plecos.
3) How long have you kept fish?
I consider only one year my start of fish taking because I made the fatal mistake of putting a *cringes* betta in a bowl. Now my betta is in a tank.
4) And just for fun, what type of fish/set-up do you really, really, really want to have?
Ethier discus or a clownfish reef tank... just clown fish.
