Brunia impacted with the pidgey with force, knocking it back. The pidgey cried out and attacked back with a tackle of it's own, sending Brunia backwards.
"Brunia, use growl!"
Brunia growled angrily at the pidgey, baring his teeth and attempting to appear as intimidating as possible. The tactic worked and the pidgey cowered.

The pidgey, still shaken from Brunia's growl, charges at Brunia again, albeit more half-hearted this time.
Brunia took the impact from the pidgey's tackle, but felt less force from it this time round.
"That's it, now hit it with another tackle!"
Brunia tackled with all it's might, striking it hard.
The wild pidgey reeled from the critical hit and fell to the ground. Slowly, it got up and attempted another tackle.

Brunia easily dodged the weakened pidgey and, without further orders from Kieth, finished off the pidgey with a devastating tackle.
"Good going Brunia! Though, next time, wait for me to shout first, ok?"
Brunia nodded happily.
"Bulba!" he said, thoroughly pleased with himself.

"Thanks!" Kieth said as he returned Brunia to his pokéball.
"You have to be careful when you're wandering around in here. My dad told me that. He once got attacked by a pinsir while he was studying sunkern, haha!"

"Oh...sorry, I didn't tell you. My dad is a pokémon proffessor. He studies grass pokémon across the world. That's where I get my interest from."
Kieth began walking again in the direction of Viridian city.

"It's a bug pokémon that has a big mouth and has horns and stuff. It's really aggressive and a menace to anyone studying in the area. Also, with it being a bug pokémon, it's really dangerous to grass pokémon as well."
Kieth chatted cheerily to Charles and didn't even notice the Ratata eyeing him until it jumped out.

Seeing Charles readying himself, Kieth decided to hang back for a moment and watch him.

Charles orders Zubat to use supersonic on the Ratata, and it hits. then the ratata begins to stumble around.

Seiichiro takes his first steps into the route, with Hana following beside him. Hana skips ahead, sniffing curiously at the flowers and grass. Seiichiro smiles, watching her. "Wait until we get to the forest, Hana. We'll catch some bug Pokemon there!" he says.

Seeing that Charles was having difficulty with the ratatta (sorry, I had to, the wait was killing me confused ), Keith sent Brunia forward.
"Brunia, tackle it!"
"Bulba!"
Brunia dived at the ratatta and hit it with the full force of his body. The ratatta was taken aback and was sent a few metres away. When it came to its senses, it turned and fled.
