Poor Shane, every one seemed so interested in to battle soon. It was an interesting debate going on, seeing how nearly every one in such a large group was so interested in a battle. What started off as a request for a double battle soon turned into something much more confusing... Maybe Ailell should of agreed? " I think it should be a free for all, with some boundaries. Only one pokemon per person. It will be to confusing, with out them. Last pokemon standing gets a prize. Ailell can be the ref," Well wouldn't you believe it? Samantha was actually trying to contribute to something!
" I don't mind watching every thing, but it might be to early for prizes," Ailell felt obligated to support his sister's idea.
" Oh, it could be rare candy or something like that," Samantha replied in a yawn.
" Yeah, well, we should eat before, any how," Ailell tried to change the subject even if a little.

"H-hi! Nice to meet you all..." Shane said, feeling a little bit nervous. Okay, just calm down or she's going to think you're a dork. There's nothing to be worried about. There's at least three cute girls here so if I fail with the first one I can always try another... Yes, sadly, that was how Shane's thought process worked. The first year took a deep breath and smiled at everyone, feeling more at ease until the word "battle" was mentioned. Crap! Not good... there's no way I can win against a group of older students! I'm going to make a total fool out of myself. Okay, just politely decline or something.

Shane snapped out of his deep thoughts when another girl approached the table and wanted to join the battle. Okay! Perfect! I just give my spot to her-- which was what Shane was thinking as Samantha spoke up about her idea --or not... Just decline Shane. There's no way I'm going to even come close to winning. But if I don't I might look like a coward... Geez, I've gotta speak up and say something or they're going to think I'm weird... "Sure! That sounds great!" Shane agreed. He tried to just mask his lack of confidence, but the statement came out sounding more eager than he would have liked.

The little group of students below seemed to be approaching an impasse rather quickly. As a teacher of the advanced battles class, Mr. Hageshii couldn't have students simply NOT battling! No, he had a suggestion for these students. There was an obvious solution, but such a solution would mean that the entire set-up would take much much longer... A simple tournament. Each trainer would register a set number of pokemon, and then use one pokemon per battle through a single elimination. Winner receives the decided prize, or the collective pot of an entry fee, or whatever the trainers decided upon...

But... his body didn't feel like moving. He didn't feel like speaking up for the students to hear out his own suggestion, and he really liked the taste of his noodles... So no, he just decided to keep eating, letting his eyes wander to the video screen, and critiquing the battle strategies in his head of the mid-level battle teacher, and the student...

Jazz saw the other people come up and she just waved a silent hello to them. She smiled a little when it seemed like more and more people were wanting to join in battling. At least it would make things more interesting, or more confusing if they didn't figure out away on how exactly they would be battling. She wasn't sure if having a free for all was the best idea, but she really didn't care. If they wanted to have the battle like that then she would go along. When she heard Samantha's idea she couldn't help but think of it as a mini tournament. Then she tried to think about what pokemon she should use. I could always use Squirt since he's already out. Then again Boner likes battling as well, and his is a lot better on land. Squirt and Katina are much better in water, she thought.Jasmine came out of here thoughts when she heard about eating first. She nodded her head. "Eating sounds like a wonderful idea," she agreed. She shrugged her shoulders when Lucas asked what everyone felt like having. She didn't even look to see what they had yet.

Squirt looked down and saw the Frostlass and Raichu starting to talk. He jumped out of his trainers arms and walked over to the other pokemon, and hoped he could talk with them as well. "Squirtle!" he greeted the two pokemon happily. He always did like to meet new pokemon.

"Hmm... I guess I'll have some toast... And maybe some scrambled eggs..." muttered Lucas to no one in particular. He smiled as he watched the small group of Pokemon socializing... He was quite anxious to let Dugs out, but the Dugtrio would make a mess of the flooring. His other Pokemon were pretty big too... Reaching for his own Poke Ball, he let out Cryst, his Staryu. "Hyah!" Looking at everyone else, he said, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go get our food. Cryst, watch my seat, will you?" The Staryu nodded (or rather, nodded its topmost point, seeing as a Staryu doesn't actually have a head to nod with) and wandered over to the other three Pokemon to greet them. "Hyah, hyah!"

"Nope, battling with an empty stomach's never fun~." The girl said, agreeing with Lucas and pretty much everyone that thought it was a good idea to eat before having the small battle. As the other 3rd year asked them what they felt like having, the girl simply shrugged a bit in reply. She wasn't the type to eat alot for breakfast, so it didn't matter much, that is until Celeste mentioned pancakes. "Yum, I think I might get waffles." The girl was still growing, currently standing at barely past 5 feet, so eating a bit more than usual didn't affect her much. Standing up, the younger girl nodded towards Lucas and then started to walk, albeit at a slow pace so the others could stay close, but not without directing a small wave towards Mr. Verin and Reiki, almost tilting her head at the pokemon, curious as to why the Lucario's arm was on a sling and his head was bandaged. For whatever reason, it seemed serious. He'd been her teacher on Types 101, which is why she knew him, but decided to properly greet him later since they were already eating.
It was then that the brunette also started to think about what to get for her pokemon. Terra was a herbivore, so vegetables or berries and some sunlight would work; Sparky loved apples; Silver was content enough with eating any berry; Gible loved any kind of meat; Frost prefered berries, too; Flygon, though...Prisca wasn't too sure about what Desert liked more, but she had a preference for meat as a Vibrava.. Well, she still had some time to decide, since she'd have to come and get breakfast for her pokemon after eating hers so that it wouldn't cool down or anything. 'I think Flygon will like bacon, I mean..Chompie likes meat and they're both dragons, right?'
Frost watched her trainer walk off, a bit unsure as to why the girl was leaving, but remaining calm since the other pokemon that had joined them, a Staryu, was in a similar situation and didn't seem worried at all. The Froslass bowed her head a bit to greet the two water pokemon, failing to notice the Lucario on the next table looking at them for a moment. "Lass..Fros, froslass...(Hello..How..are you..?)"

"Hyah, hyah! Hyah!" (I am fine, thank you for asking. How are you?) answered Staryu, waving a leg at Frost. Soon enough, Lucas came back carrying a tray with two slices of toast and a plate full of scrambled egg. He also had a glass of orange juice. Cryst moved from it's seat and wandered over and joined Frost and the other Pokemon. Mustering a smile, Lucas asked, to no one in particular, "So... How will this free-for-all battle work? I mean... I know there are tag battles but this one just seems... I don't know, it's just a little unusual for me..."
