Sighing as he wiped his eye, Gackt pulled out a cigarette. Hyde looked over at him and snatched the cigarette. "Gackt! You weren't smoking the whole time we were on tour. What happened??" "I...don't know..." He grabbed the cigarette back and pulled a lighter from his pocket. Hyde moved in front of Gackt, stopped, and turned around. Gackt stopped suddenly. Hyde looked into Gackt's (lovely blue) eyes and sighed. "You promised! Just until New Year's..." He didn't know why, but he felt very disapointed in Gackt. He turned his head away and tears streamed from his eyes. Gackt noticed this and put his left hand on Hyde's left cheek (face! gosh, you people are so sick minded!). Using his thumb to wipe the tears away, he sighed. "Hyde, you don't have to cry...I know I promised...it's just that...I...it's a habit that has to go! But...before I quit, do you want to share one? Just like old times?" "Gackt, we never shared a cigarette, and you know that." Hyde looked up and tossed a bottle of eye drops at Gackt. It bounced off of Gackt's chest and rolled onto the ground. When Gackt picked it up and realized what it was, he threw it at Hyde and started chasing him.

Breathing hard as they came to a stop, Gackt and Hyde looked up at the sky. It was a deep purple, with a few clouds that looked pink. "Here comes the sun..." Gackt sighed. Hyde looked over and laughed. "You totally took that from the movie!" Gackt looked over slightly and smiled. "Hey, it's my line." "Yeah, you are right...about that." Hyde turned his attention back to the sunset. Gackt smiled sweetly, but it suddenly snapped off his face. "What?! What's that supposed to mean??" Hyde smiled even bigger and put his hands behind his head. "Oh, nothing..." He turned and startedb walking away. Gackt turned his head sharply towards Hyde. "Oh, I get it! You're calling me stupid, aren't you? Hey, get back here! Hyde!!"

The tour was over and L'Arc~en~Ciel wasn't doing anything, so everyone went their separate ways for a while. They visited families, and enjoyed life while they could. It was New Year's Eve, and Hyde had been drinking a little too much. Alone in his apartment, he dialed random numbers on his phone. When a person answered, he drunkenly shouted "HAPPEEEEE NUWWWWW YEEEAAAWWSS!!!" and hung up. Afterwards, he would giggle slightly and do it again.

Gackt's head hung down as he thought about what he was going to do to celebrate. He was sitting on the floor of his one room apartment. His phone rang, and he picked his head up. Sweeping the hair out of his eyes with one hand, he grabbed the phone with the other. "Hello?" "HAPPEEEEE NUWWWWW YEEEAAAWWSS!!!" *click* "...Ookay..." He set the phone down and stood up. "Who was th----Hyde." Grabbing his keys and his jacket, he walked towards the door. He slipped his shoes on and opened the door. He turned the light out and walked out his apartment, locking the door.

"HAPPEEEE NUWWWWW YEEEAAAW---hunh??" Hyde heard a knock on his door and hung up the phone. "Pisha! Did I orda pisha...? Mmm...I hope ish pepproni!" He got up and stumbled to the door. When he opened the door and saw Gackt, he asked "Where'sh tha pisha??" Gackt laughed as he crossed his arms. "Pizza?? You've been in the Sake again, haven't you?" Hyde put his right arm up and positioned his thumb and index finger an inch apart. "Jusha lil." His hand rocked and he let his arm fall to his side. He smiled and hugged Gackt. "Come in, join meh...Drink!!" He raised his arm and dropped it. He got in close to Gackt and smiled. "Ya know I like ya riiiiiiiiight? Uhum! Cush I do." Hyde grabbed Gackt's hand and pulled him inside the apartment. "Let meh get cha shumthin ta drink...Ssssake?" Gackt shook his head as he closed the door. "No, thanks. But if you let me have the bottle, I will join you." Hyde smiled and handed Gackt the bottle of Sake. "Okay! Here ya go!" Gackt grabbed the bottle and set onto the table next to him. Hyde sat down on the floor and smiled. Gackt laughed a little and sat next to him. "Hyde, you are so crazy...yet, you drive me crazy..." He looked over and noticed Hyde was slumped over, sleeping. Gackt took off his jacket and set it on the floor. He then gently pushed Hyde until he lay on the floor. He grabbed his jacket and covered Hyde with it. Gackt swept the hair away from Hyde's face and kissed his forehead. "Happy New Year, Hyde..."

Hyde opened his eyes and grimaced. "Oh, my head..." He placed his hands on his face and inhaled. "What happened?" His hands slid down his face and he sat up. He turned around and saw Gackt sitting against the wall, sleeping. "Gackt was here? I don't remember..." He looked at the table, saw the Sake, and sighed. "Everytime. Why?" Hyde looked next to him and saw Gackt's jacket, which had fallen off while he was sleeping. "He covered me up with his jacket? And slept in the cold?? I better make sure he's okay!" He stood up and walked towards Gackt. He knelt down, and put his hand against Gackt's cheek. "You really are cold...Let me get you something to warm you up." He stood back up and went to the kitchen. He quickly put a pot of water on the stove to boil, and walked back into the main room. He grabbed his and Gackt's jacket, and lay them on top of Gackt.
