Friday, November 4th The First Night (Back Dated)
The key slid into the lock seamlessly as Kanilea pushed open the door with her one free hand. The other hand held a squirming batboy his tiny claws grasping for her neck. She pushed open the door and lit a candle to better explore the room, which made Aladon screech in surprise, digging his claws into her flesh. Kanilea put a gentle hand over the boy’s eyes before blowing out the candle, this exploreation would be better done in the dark. It was a quaint room Kanilea pondered as she looked around the space that Maggie had so graciously offered as a haven. It had been a hard days trek to this place and Kani wondered how powerful Maggie must be to have known so far in advance to help her when she did. It was too bad she had to run off to welcome in a new Mishap, something about a spider, but she figured she could adjust ok, she always did. The room was made in an odd shape, almost globular in a why with rounded edges, pitched ceilings and dark wooden rafters. It would have reminded her of a cave had it not been painted a stark white (which would have to be changed in her opinion.) The room was too sparse for her taste, she would have to work on that. There was no furniture save an unmade bed and a small wooden wardrobe on the opposite wall. She would have to make this place more homey, more inviting, she thought as the warm head of the child in her arms snuggled into her. It had been a long day for both of them. It had all happened so fast she hardly thought about what this meant to her life. She had a child to raise, a place to stay, hopefully new friends to make. But Kanilea left that to the next day as she laid down on the bed holding the warm body to her chest, and slept.

Saturday, November 5th, 2005, Remodeling
A bead of sweat trickled down the side of Kanilea’s face as she pushed the last wooden plug into the hole. She wiped it away, smiling, as she stood up to admire her craftsmanship. She had found the supply room earlier that day and had snatched almost everything she needed. She was very proud of herself having finished most of her renovations; it was even worth being sticky in her work clothes (a tan pair of cargo pants, a black tee, and a red bandana keeping her hair back.) The walls painted, some paintings hung, bed made, desk bought and put into place. Now that the crib as finally assembled (stupid Japanese directions!) and the fantastic bat, owl, and witch mobile hung, she could sit back and relax for a while, she poured herself a tea from the hot tea kettle on the fire and drunk deeply, sitting down on the bed. It was already past seven and night was approaching. Aladon rolled over waking up in the large, newly made bed. He giggled as his eager eyes looked over the new fantastic sights in the room. The room had been painted black which was much easier on his over sensitive eyes. His eyes fluttered to the Kani on his bed. Kanilea turned at the giggle, “What was that? Hmmm…are you laughing at me?” She picked up the small bundle and spin him around, lifting him above her head. “So now I get it, you sleep all the time I’m awake then when I’m tired you want to play.” Kani held him for a second longer doing a little turn, before putting him down again. Aladon would not let go his claws grabbed onto the hem of her dress so that he could hang upside down, before climbing bat up her dress and hanging around her neck. Kanilea was a little surprised by this and had Aladon not had a good grip on her he probably would have fallen. “Oh well, what is it you want there little one?” Putting up an arm to support the bat-boy’s weight. She heard her stomach growl, “I bet you want food, that’s why your so hyper.” She tired to pull him off her neck but that was to no avail, so still talking to him she went off to look for the Kitchen, "I think the fact that I can't break your grip unnerving."
Aladon cocked his head to one side and switched to a more confortable position unside down, which happened to be less comfortable for Kani.
"Exactly." She responded to nothing in particular, and shut the rooms door behind her.

November 5th, Oh yeah, he's a Fruit Bat, Transcribed from the Kitchen
Kanilea hummed as she took a bottle of milk from the fridge and began to warm it for the little leach that hung from her neck. She then took a ripe banana from the basket and crunched in.
Aladon seemed overly intent on the banana in Kani’s mouth sniffing it as she tried to continue eating.
“Get out of there.” She said laughing rubbing his feathery nose. “I’m making you something to eat. She got up and took the bottle out of the warm water she was heating it in and after testing it to make sure it was right, tried to feed Aladon
Aladon moved his head from side to side avoiding the spout of the bottle. He detached from her neck transferring his weight on to her shoulder. Leaning over Kani he bit the banana in her hand.
Kanilea tried to trade back, not sure if hard food was good for a child Aladon’s age, and being lactose-intolerant meant she definitely didn’t want the milk. But the stubborn Aladon wouldn’t budge. “I guess you win.” She conceded, a least he cant choke on a banana.
Aladon settled back into Kaniea’s grip as she cradled the banana-stealing bat who was currently awkwardly gnawing on his spoils and began to hum once again.
After watching Ali gulp down the banana to which he gave a little burb. Kanilea decided it would be best to return to their room. Tickling Aladon a little, she said “Hmmm… You want to go to bed little one?” She yawned as if to prove it was really her desire. As he reattached himself to her neck. They minovered back up the stairs.

Sunday, November 6th Later that Night, (Back dated)
Sadly Aladon did not want to go to bed, even as the late hour approached.
Kani did everything to try and figure out what he wanted, offered him more fruit, baby food, and bottle, all of which he promptly refused, checked his diaper, which didn’t need to be changed again (thank the stars,) even tried giving him a bath, which only got Kani wet. Still even as the Sage was falling asleep on her feet the young one stayed awake and annoyingly curious with Kani at her current state of consciousness. Aladon was sitting on Kanilea’s lap her hand draped lightly around his little body as she fought to maintain consciousness. He inspected her, twisting one for her long braids in his fingers the small bottle pendent in the braid was filled with some sort of green herb. He let the hair fall from his hand and listened to the soft thud of it as the bottle hit the open book. Aladon’s eyes followed the path of the little bottle to the open page; it had a small picture of a bustling stage on the lower left side of the page. Aladon flipped to the next page, there was the same stage but this time there was only one person on it with a white mask on. Aladon giggled as he scanned the pages of meaningless scribbles and was almost gathering a tale from it, which was remarkably similar to the actual tale. As he got to the point when the young girl was going with the masked man, the book slipped out from Kanilea’s arm as he turned the page causing a loud bang to the floor.
Kanilea came to a jerking wake, mumbling something about a dark castle.
This violent motion forward caused Aladon to sink his claws into her toaviod being thrown off. She gave a slight call of pain, which made Aladon let go, looking ashamed. “Ali, your still awake huh?” she said yawning, “My fault sweaty,” noticing his ashamed look and giving him a hearty head rub. How about a walk to get some fresh air, maybe help get you to sleep.” She cradled him in one of her arms and rubbed his stomach, picking up the book with the other hand and placing it on a pile of them near the desk. She began to hum him a soft lullaby as she walked downstairs heading towards the terrace.

Transcribed from the Green Area, 1st floorKanilea hummed as the darkness surrounded her and her young charge. It wasn’t as late as the crisp air suggested but the fresh air made Kani drowsy, it was her plan to help the young Mishap in her arms feel the same way. However, the giggles coming from him suggested differently. The fresh night air invigorated Aladon as it touched his tiny lungs, his still unknowing brain some how feeling a deeper connection with the night Earth. This counter acted Kanilea’s plan to get some sleep that night. As Kani completed her walk around the yard, making sure to keep her young one warm with her body, she saw no improvement in his state of awake ness. She settled in for a long night, taking a seat in one of the rocking chairs on the terrace, rocking Aladon and singing sweetly, “Begin a Tale take a Breath and Inhale, Cast a tiny little Spell on reality, where Dreams of Men Dwell, Nightmares grow and Swell, To test One's Faith and sanity. But in the end you’ll find in my hands you are mine, nothing can get to you through me…”Aladon raised his head and looked over at the group of Mishaps. Then to Kanilea again as if asking to go over.Kanilea nodded and picked him up to walk across the yard. She smiled and happily introduced herself to Rex, Xiao Ling, and Kunjiro (and others if they're there), "Hi, I'm Kanilea, and this little one is Aladon. We just moved into the room next to the stairs on the third floor." She squatted down to face the two faced mishap and held out her hand, "And who might you be."
She placed Aladon on the ground in the group, keeping her claf and foot along his back to help him sit up straight. "Hew!" He said trying to mimic the hand gesture.Xiao Ling "Why, thank you," Xiao Ling replied, taking the candies Rex offered and tosses one into her mouth. "I'm afriad he can't consume candies yet, he's too young for them," she added as she chew the candy.
Seeing Rex's handful of candies, Kunjiro managed to grab a lollipop from his hand. Not knowing how to remove the plastic, he put it into his mouth and took it out after that, for it was tasteless. After hearing Rex's question, he looked at his mother, hoping she will answer it for him.
"Well you see, the mushroom hat thing has grown into his head," she explained, then paused for a while to swallow the candy. "So you'll never see him without the hat."
Xiao Ling smiled at Kanilea after that and introduced herself. "I'm Xiao Ling, nice to meet you. I'm somewhat new too, and this is Kunjiro," she said as she patted Kunjiro's mushroom hat. “Xiao Ling and Kunjiro,” she said to herself happy to meet someone and trying hard to remember the names. “It’s nice to finally know someone’s name around here.” She admitted a little nervous about her first encounter with other mishaps and guardians. Aladon on the other hand did not seem nervous at all but have his curious nature about him. He awkwardly half rolled over to Kunjiro and poked his mushroom “hat.” He was clearly surprised by that and started to look at him all over. He was about to reach for the new interests tail when he fell over completely, a little amused with himself and his discovery. Xiao Ling Kunjiro jumped when the mushroom hat was poked, and turned around to see who was the one poking him. When he turned, he found out that it was Aladon. With Aladon's upside-down face, he thought, "How interesting!" He had never seen someone like this before, for most mishaps has an upright face.
Xiao Ling nodded, for she agreed with what Kanilea had said. "How do you feel at first when you got Aladon?" Xiao Ling asked, squatting down in front of Aladon to have a look at him. “Well, as soon as I had regained enough consciousness, I was surprised to say the least. I mean it’s hard to except your life will change, even when it changes for good.” Aladon cocked his head at Kinjiro and sniffed the air, then straightening himself with one of his wings and sniffed at the other mishap again. Taking one last sniff the batboy moved to bite the mushroom capped one. Kanilea noticed and stopped the little tike from his explorative means by distracting it with a couple of her fingers, which he promptly pawed at with his claws. Then she returned to Xiao Ling. “How about you?” As she did this Aladon returned to exploring his new play mate.Silencer Wolf Rex took Kanilea's hand and shook it warmly(not to mention slipping a blueberry candy to her), smiling up at her. He gave the candies in his mouth a mighty crunch and swallowed it, before introducing himself to her.
"Hi. Name's Rexier Gaver, but y'can just call me Rex. Him, my bro," the boy turned and tilted his head slightly so as to display King, "is King."
For the next moments Rex sat and observed the two owners and their mishaps, sucking away on yet another candy - this time, cola flavoured. Occasionally he would steal a glance or two at Browns, but snapped his head away as soon as the bunny sensed someone watching it.
After sometime the child became quite bored, and made his way towards the newest mishap just as he chomped down on Kunjo's 'hat', and peered down at him. Something's... different about this mishap. As he looked harder, Rex realized his face was upside down, and turned towards Kanilea.
"Aladon's face's upside down! Does he get no dizzy?" Xiao Ling "Mmm... For me, it was rather difficult at first, but now I'm getting used to it," Xiao Ling replied, at the same time wondering what will happen if Aladon bite Kunjiro.
With Aladon sniffing around, Kunjiro sat there quietly feeling bored. Not knowing Aladon was trying to bite him, he crawled around trying to have a good look at the bat mishap, from 'his upside-down' face to his wings.
After Xiao Ling replied to Kanilea's questions, she looked at Aladon and noticed something. Like Rex had noticed, yes, Aladon has an upside-down face! "Won't it be a little difficult for Aladon to see things upside-down?" Xiao Ling asked as she tried to turn her face to have a look at Aladon's upright face. Kanilea smiled as the small being shook her hand, which left a blue berry candy in her hand. She had to laugh at the small token. “It’s very nice to meet you Rex…and King.” She added the last part as an afterthought, not wanting to leave either of the two, but to tell the truth she was slightly confused. She joked to Rex, “He sure falls over enough to be dizzy all the time.” She affectionately rubbed Aladons’ stomach after he had fallen over yet again. As Xiao Ling began to turn her head to get a look at his upright face he turned his head mimicking her. No seeing the point in that anymore he righted his face, to notice the two faced being next to him.Kanilea truthfully answered Xiao Ling, “His face isn’t completely inverted just his mouth is at the top of his head then his eyes and his nose. Truthfully though regardless of which way his eyes are oriented he must be seeing up side down half the time, he’s always hanging on things.”Aladon awkwardly moved across the ground on all fours until he came to the third mishap, this actually took his a long while considering rex was only a foot away. He kept looking from Rex to King and back again, apparently very confused by the situation. He latched onto the toddler’s overalls to climb up to give him a better look. From the look on his face this had clearly not cleared anything up for him. Silencer Wolf Rex let out a thoughtful 'ahhh', still focused on Aladon and his queer face. The boy stood stock still as the bat/owl mishap climbed up him, not wanting to cause him to lose his grip and fall off, hurting himself in the process.
"Hi, Al." The child spoke softly, his gaze never once leaving Aladon.
King opened his jaws and sticked out his tongue, panting slightly. A second later he chirred and snapped at a small beetle that was pestering him, missing by just a tiny bit. Annoyed, the tyrannosaur huffed, licking his chops. Xiao Ling "Oh, it's only inverted. I see," Xiao Ling replied with a laugh, seeing Aladon mimicking her by turning his head. "Mmm... I have to go soon, it's getting late."
Without his mother attention, Kunjiro crawled quietly away towards the sandbox he played earlier. Once inside the sandbox, he buried himself in the sands with the head visible, hoping the others take no notice with what he had done. Salem Von Montegue Salem just couldn't shake the smile that had taken a firm hold on his lips. The thought that the little cutie in his arms was now his still hadn't lost it's new luster. There was just no way to express how happy he was about the whole thing! You'd think handling so many kids back at home would null this effect, but no, it was just like the first time he had joined his best friend Gairbith. Despite having a massive playground back at his own adoption home he had decided that it was a good idea to have little Cato get to know others like himself as well, and so, he found himself in the playground, hoping to find someone else there for Cato to play with.
"Hmm... Looks like no one's here... Well... Maybe if we wait a while someone will show up, eh, Cato?" He smiled sweetly at the many armed baby. The former rouge looked up at him with his odd emerald eyes, blinking up at the funny looking thing holding him with all four eyes. He whined softly around his pacifer as all eight pupils shunk at the bright sunlight that suddenly blared into them. Looking away and out at the new place he started burbling spit bubbles. With a quick look around he realized that the sand box was probably a bad idea when it came to sand eatting, he was too little for a slide just yet, so swings it was! Making his way over to them he gently slipped Cato's legs though the seat's holes and sat him down. "We're going to play on the swings, alright Cato?" He smiled sweetly at the spider-baby.Cato on the other hand just looked at him as if he was a moron. Jizzy Jazz "You'll never catch me!" Deimos shouted as he ruushed out into the playground, Jizzy rushing after him. It had so far beena rigorous game of cat and mouse and Jizzy ahd finally found his hiding spot and he was ina wild dash to the slide, home base. Justa little further and he'd be safe. He spotted a few other's but rushed past them. He'f meet and greet after he couldn't get caught.
Jizzy was rushing after Deimos, wind blowing her hair in, then out of her blue eyes. He'd never make it to home base, not if she had anything to sya about it. Her eyes on the playground, she spotted two figures, one she saw was Salem, from the adoption center she'd applied for, the other.. was.. a spider.
She froze in ehr tracks, eyes wide in fear. Her whole body went cold as memories of her death flashed before her. All those spiders over her, the pain of the posion spreading, and before her eyes a spider. He breathing became irregular, she was hyperventialing. Cold sweat graced her forehead as he gasped for air, her lungs giving way to fear.
Her world went black and she fell to the floor. Kanilea was working hard to get Ali of his new perch.Aladon on the other hand was watching Kunjiro very closely. As Kanilea gave up on removing him he tumbled off Rex onto the ground. Aladon giggled while Kanilea fretted over the small tumble. He began to crawl towards the disappearing mishap (Kanilea following close in tow). As Aladon began to dig around the mushroom cap to see what happened to the rest of Kunjiro……Kanilea’s eyes began to wander. First a man and an infant came out, a spider, she remembered vaguely something about a spider being created near the time of her own. Suddenly a child ran out of the building racing his guardian close behind. She smiled at the happy sight. She looked at the young inquisitive Aladon playfully digging at Kunjiro’s resting spot, and couldn’t help but laugh at the representation of their future selves. To which Aladon responded with one of his own. When she turned back to the seen the woman was on the ground. Checking quickly to make sure Aladon was safe where he was (she feared more for Kunjiro really) she ran over to her side. Making a quick assessment of the woman she maneuvered a herb from a braid in her hair and held it in front of the fainted women. “Are you alright?” She asked, not sure is she could hear her.Silencer Wolf "It's okay. Him not hurting Rex, so no worries." Rex reached up both hands and helped Kanilea in prying the baby off him, succeeding only after a few minutes. Boy, does Aladon have a strong grip!
Moments later the boy noticed more guardians and their mishaps in the area. There was the man he saw during the Halloween Event sometime back. Rex furrowed his brows, trying to remember about him having a mishap back then - apparently not.
Rexier's thoughts were interrupted just then, as a blurry figure of yellow, red green and purple streaked past him. To his delight it was Deimos, taller than when he last saw him. Still, the t-rex boy was taller, by a good seven inches.
"Hi!" Rex called out, waving. Aladon began to complain as the night grew less like night and more into day. He wanted to sleep and he had no problem doing it right there. He began to crawl away from the mushroom to find a more suitable spot to sleep. Noticing a dark wooded area near him, he began to wonder what fascinations might await for him there.Kanilea caught sight of his wandering out of the corner of her eye, and begging everyone’s pardon she got up to catch the young one, just before he entered the woods. “I understand, your sleepy.” Aladon snuggled into her arms as a replay to tired to hang on. Kanilea smiled at the warm bundle of joy as the sun started to rise, slipping back into the manor unnoticed, Aladon in hand.

Darek fluttered down in front of the manor. He had to strain to land; the crisp fall wind kept blowing him off course. Grumbling to himself, the boy checked the address, glancing up at the manor. He did a double take a the size of the place. "No way...." Still, he hadn't know Nima to be wrong about a delivery yet. But he was not going to even try wandering around that place to find the person he was delivering too. He didn't even know what they looked like after all! Darek reached into his bag and pulled out a plain box with the names Kanilea and Aladon pasted on the front. Inside was a dreamcatcher and a note. Zar "Kani, I have been desperate to find and sign of life from you. I finally heard from one of the surviving members of the coven you were somehow evolved in a magical accident, but have found a safe place to stay. I have, also, heard that you now have a son, I guess congratulations are in order although (something seems to be scratched out here.) I have sent this courier with instructions to find and deliver this to you and your son, may it keep his and your dreams safe." The boy knocked as loudly as he could, doubting that it would be heard in a building this size. Someone was bound to find the box. Delivery complete, he fluttered his small feathered wings and took off, fighting the wind to his next destination. ((I'm very sorry if I'm interrupting anything. Feel free to delete this post if need be.))

Communication
The warm cascading water felt good on Kanilea’s cold skin, waking her aching bones from the sleep depravation they had been facing for the past few days. She turned off the tap and grabbed a towel from the basket next to the tub, rubbing the water off of her vigorously. Wrapping the towel around herself she ventured out of the bathroom to the Wardrobe, where she slipped on a bohemian style skirt and relatively tight black tank top. Her hair, still wet from the shower, was left wild down her back to dry naturally.
Aladdon rolled over, it was much to early to be awake, his body protested. Yet his tiny tummy argued a different tale. He made a soft noise, just loud enough to get his mothers attention.
Kanilea quickly lifted him out of his crib and began rocking him. “Awake little one?”
Aladon was clearly not awake as he had not tried to put something in his mouth that didn’t belong. He didn’t so much as whine as make another noise indicating that no he was not awake but he wanted something to eat.
Kanilea quickly changed him and laid him back down in his crib, “All better now.” She smiled and went back to her desk, she had an enchantment she needed to be working on.
Aladon could not believe the fact his perfectly clear explanation had not been carried out. He made another noise to get her attention this time a little less happy.
Kanilea turned around and picked him back up. “I thought you were tired little one, do you want to work with Mommie?” The spell wasn’t dangerous and she had not enough power to make it so, thus she decided it would be fine, if not educational to have him watch and help with the tiny magical experiment. She began explaining the basics of what was going on, “See this is a oak branch, it helps to focus all the magical energy being created by the other materials, and this is…”
Aladon was insanely interested, he had to touch and explore every inch of every magical item spread out on Kanilea’s old wooden desk, while absorbing the explanation of the Sage. While that occupied his thoughts for a while, they soon drifted back to the ones of I’m hungry, which he promptly told his caretaker in a series of murmles accompanied by a gurgling stomach.
Kanilea finally realizing her mistake, carefully recradled the now exploring Mishap and found her way to the tiny cabinet which remained at a constant 40 degrees. “I’m so sorry, I won’t misinterpret you again.” She said apologetically as she heated the banana-flavored formula on the stove mat and testing it on her wrist for the right temperature before holding it above his mouth, which occupied where his forehead should be.
Aladon drank heavily and after downing the bottle he gained just enough energy to remain awake for ten seconds before falling asleep in Kanilea’s arms. It was to early to be awake his body protested as the dreams retook him. To early…
The antique clock on Kanilea’s desk read four.

The Joy of Learning
By the time the hands on the clock showed ten their placed had switched, Kanilea asleep head fallen amongst the charm, weary from the late hours she was being forced to keep.
Aladon was alive, awake, alert and most of all enthusiastic. He had not yet really been able to explore his surroundings without the interference of the guardian and he relished in the thought of looking around the room uninterrupted my misinterpreted signs of hunger, though he was pretty hungry. He started by wiggling out of his loose batty bedding and using the bar of the crib for support, peered into the darkened room. He noticed Kanilea immediately side of her head laid on the desk a small drop of droll coming from her innocent face. Using one of his claws he ran his finger along the crib joints and watched as the side of it fell open. Losing his support he dropped to all fours and climbed head first down the crib leg, taking a small tumble onto the floor.
Aladon moved much more awkwardly across the floor than he did while he was climbing and it took him a great while to reach the side of the room which enticed him. There was a group of potted plants on a flat, which gave off of some of the most wonderful smells. He wrapped a tiny claw around one and pulled causing the defenseless thing to pull up and knocking a few other containers of dirt over on to a low stack of books. As he went to go explore his new found play surface his eyes wandered to the reading. Of course Aladon had no idea what the words said but he instantly had to study every inch of the page. After he seemed to have memorized the meaningless scribbles on the page, he was about to turn away when his hand slipped across the words. They seemed to move under his claw. Oh no did he break it. He moving his hand again, and it moved again. He finally realized that he could move the words so far over that it would cause a whole new page to appear. This time only one page had the memorizing scrawl the other head a dark picture of a horned man. He flipped the page, another picture a country a small symbol over it. He began to flip the page having just as much interest as the text and pictures. He began to flip the page with such furry and excitement it fell BANG onto the floor.
Kanilea woke with a start, yelling something in a language Aladon could not understand. She glanced at the crib and realized Aladon was not there, she frantically ran about the room, “Ally, Aladon, Stars and Earth, Ally.” Her eyes fell on the dirt-covered book, and lifting it found the tiny bat holding his toes and giggling a gleeful look in his eye. “I found you.” She said putting on a calm face now that she knew where he was but inside she made a mental note to find a lock for the crib latch. She tickled his exposed tummy. Noticing the plants, some of them nearly dead from the time spent away from their nutrients. “Oh I see, a little gardener we have here, your supposed to plant them not dig them up.” She picked him up. “What do you say my little earth worm? Planting sound like a good idea to you?” They needed something to do, and she began to realize that all of her things would have to be kept out of the reach of curious hands, though she was not in the least mad, just concerned. It would be awful for Aladon to pick up a fully charged crystal and shock himself. Mental note to install a lock on the desk.
Aladon gurgled as if to say, “Yes, but only after you get me a proper breakfast.”
Kanilea winked and sighed, “After we get some breakfast how ’bout.” She held him tightly as she made her way to the food cabinate, Aladon straining back to catch one last glimpse of the book.

November 18th A Very Merry Birthday to You(backdated to all hell)
Kanilea found herself restless under the covers thrashing back an forth unable to sleep, which was increasingly bad because she was trying to ignore Aladon's in ability to sleep. She rolled over pulling the black comfoter around her bare shoulders and forcefully holding her eyes shut, but that didn't fool Aladon.
Senceing his gaurdian was awake he began to stir again himself, unable to sleep during the night, he had been just lying there waiting out his mother's stubborness before she would come and play with him, or at least take him out of this danged contraption he called a crib. Kani had most reasently added a small pad lock to it, unfortunately in a few days time Aladon would figure that out too.
Kanilea gave in to both Aladon's restlessness and her own. "Fine, you win," talking more to her own dreams then to Aladon, who sat waiting, his hands on the bars like a tiny prisoner.
He attached himself quickly to the woman as she plucked him out of the crib, letting his feet's claws dig into the weave of Kani's shirt, His hands reached out to grip the bottle Kani offered to them which to his delight contained stawberry flavored formula. He began to suck at it as he (and the body he was attached to) mad their way onto the third floor balcony.
Kani let her hair flow back in the soft, cool, breeze that told her of the coming winter. She placed her hands on the rail, and afriad for Aladon's explorative nature took his into her arms. She began to sing the soft melody that told of her people of her place, of the turmoil. She had not forgottten what day it was, she couldn't, it was the day the way had started what seemed like centurys ago, and less importantly it was her birthday. She didn't weither to be happy or sad about the second bit. She only knew that the coming of this year only marked another where nothing had changed. she turned and looked down at the smiling baby that held one of his toes while he finished his meal., and she had to reconsider. "Your right, your right. Something has changed, and this time for the better. " She began to sing again this time a slightly less haunting melody, and though Aladon could not form the words, he played a key part in the melody.
"Un sun tada me sun ku, la se don see dun. Un sun tada me sun ku, me la kun da ma."

"how about this one, Momma?" asked the lanky bone child as he stopped in front of some random apartment door of the Mishap HQ. He had somehow gotten his mother to agree to visiting more Mishaps and their guardians in the most unorthadox manner; going to people randomly. They had already tried two other doors and no one had answered soo...this one was next.
The boy waited for his guardian's reply while constantly trying to hold onto the skullwhisp pup hanging from both his arms while the animal's back feet were constantly kicking for some sort of leverage.
"Sure...and how many times do I have to tell you to hold Ginji properly?" scolded the blonde werewolf as she came up next to her charge and rapped on the door.
"But she's not hurt, Momma, and I've seen you hold Vasu like this and you only used ONE arm!" retored the child. he had gotten quiet good at retaliating, though now usually him and his mother did it for fun.
"Vasu is a monkey, Osso, he can handle himself more then Ginji can," she said while the said monkey continued to sit with one small foot on each of Azumi's shoulders while his head rested on the werewolf's head, face barely seen from the white fabric of it's clothing that covered it's arms and the white poofy hair. It truley was a sight. (( Vasu is the monkey in my sig o.o ))

"Yip yip!" the squeeky barks came from the animal hanging in Osso's arms.
"Shhh, Gin! We-Oh..uhh...Momma..." the boy alerted his guardian, who was still retorting to his last comment. When he turned to face the people who opened the door he was met with a long finger a few inches from his face. Osso brought his head back before cocking it to the side. Hollow sockets, half covered by messy blonde locks, followed the length of the finger and met with the odd little face of the other Mishap.
"As I've alre-what?" Azumi stopped and followed Osso's gaze towards the door,"oh! Oh...um...Hi, um," she went all sheepish and her words seemed to trip over each other. Why had she let her charge sucker her into doing this? "Um-Minty ones?" She had just caught what the other woman was saying and gave a deeply confused look that accompanied a raised eye brow.
The monkey on the werewolf's head slitted open a golden brown eye while lazily scanning the area, feathery white wings folding closer to his back.
