"A ring yes, I have heard about that, but have not heard of any meeting in Rivendale." Napier stopped abruptly. He thought he heard a sound in the distance. But with a quick scan of his surroundings, he could not see anything in the darkness. He whispered to Anduin, "Be silent, I do not think we are alone."

Anduin didn't move. She listened closely hearing nothing but the faint sound of the wind through the tall grass. "I hear nothing. Are you sure?"

"Yes, we are being watched." Napier breathed slowly and then heard it again, a small cracking of leaves very nearby. He drew his long sword, and waited. Suddenly an orchish screech pierced the night air. Napier turned to face the sound, and sure enough, black shapes were runiing towards them from the bottom of the hill. "Be ready, I hope you can fight."

Anduin slipped her bow of her shoulder and quikly loaded two arrows. She took careful aim and released them killing two orcs. She saw the dark figures fall to thier death. "You shouldn't be worrying about my skills." She loaded another arrow and positioned her fingers again on the bow.

Urs had been traveling through these woods for quite sometime. As a bear he had been ignored by the elves of the realm. Sitting next to a stream he caught the scent of orc in the air. Growling happily he charged off toward the scent.
Reaching the battle, Urs roared as he smashed into a large group, blowing them apart. Grabbing one of the filthy beasts, he crushed its neck between his teeth.

Anduin lowered her bow seeing another figure in the distance, but it was no orc. She ran over to the scene and byt the time she approached over near the trees all the bodies were torn apart. She looked closely seeing a bearish figure. "Who are you?" She called out while keeping an eye on its movements.

Many orcs quickly slashed at Napier, but unworried he easily blocked their heavy swords. With a swift motion he then spun around and sliced the heads off of two orcs. The only two that remained near napier, put force heaving blows in the direction of Napiers chest. Napier quickly recovered his sword, and block the oncoming attacks, and then stabed an orc in the gut. The wounded orc fell over dead, while the other started to flee. Napier quickly pulled out his bow and notched an arrow. He then let it fly, bringing the running orc down. He called out in the heat of the battle, "I am sorry to misjudge you."

Luthien_Carnasir Anduin lowered her bow seeing another figure in the distance, but it was no orc. She ran over to the scene and byt the time she approached over near the trees all the bodies were torn apart. She looked closely seeing a bearish figure. "Who are you?" She called out while keeping an eye on its movements. Urs waddled forward toward the elf. Sitting back on his haunches he let himself slip back into his human form. The fur slipped backward into his skin, and his muzzle crushed and reformed into a nose and mouth. Iron armor and leather clothing seemed to form itself from the fur of his torso. On his back was seated a huge sword and leather backpack. Smiling he tried to look innocent and failed, "I'm just a cute little bear."

With all the remaining orcs dead, Napier noticed the new person that had unwarningly help him and Anduin out. He walked over to where the two were talking and listened in on their conversation.

Anduin looked over to Napier and smilled. "That was easy. So what were you saying before we were interupted by those fowl creatures. Something about the business of the ring.... right?" Anduin tried to remember for a moment loosing total thought.

The large man stuck his huge hands out to each off the people before him, "Names Urs the Red Bear, and If you be talkin about a ring I would be most interested in it." His huge grin threatened to circle his head completely.

Anduin looked back at Urs. "I am Anduin, maiden of the woods of Lorien... traveler at the moment. Do you know anything of a ring and meeting in Rivendell? My father told me a bit about it before he set out, but I don't trust him as much as i used to so don't know if it's true or not. "

Napier took Urs hand and shook it willingly. "Hello and thankyou very much Urs. Why perhaps would you be interested in this ring, might I ask?" Napier looked Urs the red bear straight in the eyes and awaited his answer. This method always seemed to pull the truth out of anyone, and even though Urs seemed friendly Napier couldnt be too careful.

Napier turned away from Urs to make sure he wouldnt hear. "I have heard that Sourons ((is that how you spell it)) great ring has been found, and that Souron has returned."
