He saw a book half buried in a sand and picked it up, reading the cover, or at least trying to. "Its written in some weird language." He said, opening the book and flipping through the pages. "I'm going to study this." ((And this book changes everything. Lol. MAGE!))

Erik was face up on the beach and he was woken up when he turned and felt his gun gently press against his ribs. The sun burned bright in his eyes as they opened up, indicating it was high noon if he was right or competent as far as time telling went. He tasted the sand and water in his mouth and spit it out. "Hello?" he called, he had a blend of a British and German accent, "Is anyone alive?" as far as Erik knew, he was the only one who survived since he didn't see anyone else.

((It isn't heavy and mostly british, but when he gets riled up you need subtitles.))

((And I've learned a little Latin as well, which I could say the spells in latin instead of just saying what it is. You could probably guess the spell, like if i say pyro its a fireball, hydro, water, tauro its earth and cyro its ice, etc.))
He heard someone yelling for survivors. "Hey! Over here!" He yelled. ((Akan, who would be carrying a gun on a senior highschool trip, lol? Plan on killing everyone?))

"I'm fine!" He called back. "I found a weird book though." He added.

He looked down at the book, and all of a sudden the letters started re-arranging themselves, almost looking like they were shoving each other to get where they wanted. When the letters stopped moving he looked at the cover, which now read "Lost Book of the 13th Magus". He opened the book and turned to the first page. "Family tree." It read at the top, and showed a family tree at the bottom of the page. It read all of his family. He almost cried out in surprise. He flipped through the book, and stopped on a page that looked different than the others. "List of spells, white and black magick" It read at the top. He saw the first spell 'Omni Maximus Pyro Orbis Luminoct: Fireball, or can be used to heal minor flesh wounds on others by adding Bentidoct instead of Luminoct." He read. He said the spell outloud with the Luminoct part, and his hands glowed red and started getting very hot. He dropped the book in surprise and brushed against a branch. It caught on fire. "Holy s**t." He exlaimed. ((Omg, got a little carried away there.))
