Celestine Ravencroft I really can't stand this time of year for a Domino Effect reason: * cold air = temperature plummets = have to turn up heater = air in apartment gets dry = my throat gets dry and irritated = I cough my head off and I'm not even sick. Yeah sure, I could keep the heat down and freeze off my tookis, but I'm none too fond of being a human ice sculpture. Worse yet, it can snow and be extremely cold here as late as mid April. * grumpy bunny* I'd send you the Florida humidity, but it would dry up too fast over there, have you tried a humidifier yet?

So let me get this straight, you guys get to hit the beach and have droughts while we walk on ice and sleet. Maybe we should send you some of this ice and sleet and some snow on the side...

After that, we still get nice sunlight even in winter. The temperature? Nothing a warm coat can't fix. emotion_yatta

Humidifiers don't seem to work for me for some reason. I think we have one, but I'm not even sure if it works anymore, that's how little it gets used. Florida = hurricanes and tons of mosquitoes due to the swamps. No thank you. I'd rather not find out what West Nile Virus is like. You pretty much hit the nail on the head with wildfires. Earthquakes I can live with, but the chance of being forced out of my home due to impending fire is not my idea of paradise. I really do hope you guy get some moisture relief soon in Cali. It's bad enough to have drought in the summer when you expect it, but winter drought is like adding insult to injury. At the end of the day, every place has its natural disasters and issues to deal with. You just have to pick your poison. Although, I haven't considered Hawaii or Guam yet... xd (yes, I realize Hawaii has volcanoes, but they don't erupt every day. And yes, Guam may be small, but that isn't always a bad thing.)

Well you'd have to be living in the hills to be at risk from wildfire. Earthquakes can be anywhere here, but there hasn't been a major earthquake in 20 years. I'm not bothered really by earthquakes because of that. And I hope so too. There is a storm on the way... Hopefully it dumps a good amount of rain and snow in the north of the state. Maybe I should organize a flash mob do to a rain dance xDIt's true that every place has its natural disasters, but some places don't have them as often. Like Hawaii! biggrin There are volcanoes, but those aren't the violently-erupting volcanoes that could threaten an entire island.

Y'know, after all the crap that's happened this week, I'm SO taking a break today. Gonna relax, have some good tea, read into my music sheets and books.
And my mother finally relented and got Ami to purchase a metal detector which will come in the mail soon. We had to quit digging in the snow for the missing keys... SINCE THERE WILL BE MORE TOMORROW AND NEXT WEEK. I'm not digging through 4+ inches MORE of snow, plus whatever is already on the ground (which is a lot, I'm telling you). Screw that.
