I loved the rain dancers too. They looked really cool. And the sparklers on the ends of their shoes? Wow. I can't imagine dancing like that. Haha!

The poetry part was nice too. And all the indigenous peoples dancing in their native attires. It looked awesome.

pasta: Congrats on co-worker getting fired. I heard department stores overstock their workers so employees get less hours. I never had a lot of hours because of it. Lucky! (:

What happened with us was that we were only supposed to have two full-timers but she whined to our GM a year ago about how she was "promised" she'd be full-time within a year, so they made her a full-timer...and then she turned out to be the LEAST productive of our employees. So she was getting a minimum of 32 hours a week and selling practically nothing, which caused the labor in our department to go up and our productivity to go down, so all the part-timers got cut ridiculously bad.

I'm not a huge fan of slam poetry, actually. *shrug* I usually like the first couple of lines and then get bored after that.

Oh! And the giant sparkly bear! I want one.

Also I got my taxes done, yay!

I loved the giant sparkly bear too! XD

Aeo: They did remind me of you too. I loved the tap dancer's hair who did a solo.

Hey people are up at this time with me. XD I'm so use to going to bed at 3:30am nowadays.

I'm usually awake this late, I'm just generally playing Maple Story or reading Wheel of Time or webcomics, so I don't post much. *shrug*

Yeah and nothing goes on around Gaia at this time. :/

I'm so sleepy. I went to my bro's game and he won. That's a relief because it seemed like the game was going badly for them at first (they had 4 errors total in the game). But despite the errors they managed to pull a good number of hits and home runs. The other team mostly profited from the errors rather than ability.

Anyway, rambling about boring stuff. @_____@ I hate being up now and hungry. But I think I'm just thirsty. Our fridge's distilled water has been broken for a week. gonk gonk A WEEK! I'm so thirsty, I hate it. We've been living off of bottled water. *cries* Well, I'll try the blow dryer tomorrow...

The fiddling part was about the only part I liked, other than the Four Nations welcome at the very beginning. Every other part was just too long and slow. They took too damned long to get to the point of the segment and kept going well after I lost interest.

Also, major lulz at the announcer calling "Hallelujah" a "song of peace." Did he actually listen to the lyrics? Because I always found it rather sadomasochistic and disillusioned. Very odd choice for the Olympics.

Man...two really fun photoshoots with my roommate, getting asked to be my best friend's bridesmaid, trip with the boy to San Francisco to see Wicked, finishing my taxes in less than half an hour, finding out that the stupid girl got fired, getting to hang out and watch the opening ceremonies with my friends and the boy...the past week and a half has just been ridiculously awesome. =) =) =)

*happydance*

edit: I agree with Pyre about the song. I made the o.O face at my TV when the guy started singing. I didn't really care for his voice, either.

LOL. K.D. Lang isn't a dude - just a really butch lesbian. I liked the performance, I just thought it was a really weird song choice.

Aw, I like that song. I also thought she was a he though.

But geez you guys have some high standards. Does anyone like anything around here?

...okay, now I feel like a p***k for assuming it was a guy. >.> And yeah, it was a weird song choice...and as for high standards, I'm all for improv in a song and trying to make it more your own when you perform, but the random long pauses just made it feel a lot more awkward to me. *shrug* All the different choirs I was in during high school and the experiences from them make me have high standards, I guess.

And listening to some more of her stuff, I like her voice better. I think knowing she's female helps, 'cause thinking of a guy with that voice just throws me off.

SIIIIIIIIIIGH...stop telling me to stop putting your wet clothes on top of the dryer when I go to do my laundry. If you wanted them dry that bad, you would have dried them yourself before you left. It is not my responsibility to dry your clothes for you just because they're in my way when I need my laundry done, nor do I have the time to wait an hour and a half for your clothes to dry so that I can dry my own.

I've already spoken to you about it and yet you still leave your wet clothes in the washer, or worse in the dryer (without even bothering to start the load) and then get mad at me when I put the clothes on top of the dryer while I do my laundry.

If you don't like it, you can just move the ******** out of my house.

AMEN! And I know the perfect person for her to room with. I swear, my roommate has been doing laundry for three straight months? How hard is it to just get the s**t done? I swear, if I ever find somebody else to room with I'm moving. I'm tired of having to do all the damn chores around here. I'm already a full time student and working versus her doing jack and s**t because she's a moron who can't handle a bloody community college courseload. Uggg, I hate dipshits.

It really depends on the poet for me. We've got this really good black guy down in my town.

Also, I feel like I could write a spanish soap opera based off of the relationships of all the people I know.
Scratch that, my life is a Spanish soap opera. Seriously, my ex girlfriend is giving me a lecture on being nice to her friend who asked me out that I turned down. And to be bloody honest, I never really had any intentions of being anything more than a casual friend to that girl. Hate to say it, but I have radically different interests and I'm not going to be somebody's sympathy friend. And if my ex was a good friend she'd directed her friend to the nice and free counseling center on campus.

Seriously, I just need to hand out a large bunch of "Grow the Bloody ******** Up" coupons to these people. Either that or I've really got to rethink my being nice to people policy.

You try to be nice to people? It has seriously never done anything but get me in trouble, I try not to be nice whenever possible just to avoid issues with life.
