"Nah. she just likes the shine of certain metals. and wants me to look good. or maybe it was supposd to be alike a medal for doing a good job. who knows. As for keeping me here...I'm only here until my bioware becomes fully interactive."
a slight grin.
Jessica grumbled.
"Not hungry. but I'll take a break, alright?"

"Just what you need, another ego boost." Shaking her head lightly at him...well he would be back up and running around again like nothing had happened now wouldn't he? That was the joy of being a lot of bioware. But she was all fleshy and thus she knew what she'd be doing the rest of the day. "Lucky you...I plan on going to my room and cutting cameras and gravity there, after that I will float around in my pajamas and try not to think about pain once my lovely drugs fully wear off, knowing I can't have more. I may even jam my door locks."
"Suit yourself, go take a break."

"I might be able to help on the drug thing. just give jessica the big puppy eyes, adn she'll get you anything in her arsenal."
A slight chuckle.
"You'd lock me out of your room too?"
Jessica sat down at her desk, and leaned the chair back, put in some earphones, and tried to relax with her feet propped on the desk to classical rock from the sixties and seventies.

"Not so easy when you're getting your blood tested regularly..." Crossing her arms lightly. "I thought you didn't like it when I turned off my gravity? You like your gravity...though you know I do have enough velcro in my desk to line the bottom of your socks with so that you would stick to strategically placed patches of velcro on the floor and such." Giving him that teasing smile.

Lillia watched Thobias flop onto the floor of the pen and watched him closely. "He is going to be okay isn't he Erik? I mean it's just the painkillers and stuff that they've got him on and stuff...right?" She glanced at him, her eyes worried as she looked back at the pack and watched them each nuzzle and paw at him. He wasn't responding very well but he was on drugs so that could explain that. "Alright. Onto MISSED then. We have reorganization and such to attend to."

"Oh he'll be fine. Just worn out and stuff. Have to keep him relatively still while those nanos patch him up and what not. Also gave him a does of antibiotics and such to make sure he doesn't develop infection or get sick from anything that was on that blade." A nod, watching for a moment before making sure the cage was lcoked up nice and tight, then turning and starting back. "First step is to get things back in order in that office of hers...patch up teams are done fixing the hull, and removing all the damaged things...I can just imagine how they left everything else though..."

"Oh no..." Lillia very nearly cried when she saw the disaster zone that had been Jelly's somewhat neat office at one point. The organization that had taken her a long time to do was very nearly ruined. Files were scattered everywhere and the cabinets were dented from something blunt being used on them or thrown against them. "It's a damn good thing we've got the electronic..." But Jelena had deleted their system hadn't she? "Erik, please tell me we've got a backup MISSED that has everything we need on it. Please tell me that we don't now have to redo the last four years of work...please." Yes, very close to having a nervous breakdown even as she kicked a pile of metal that used to be something or other in the office.

"We have a backup chip that's updated anually...but it's nowhere near easy to get to." And was perhaps rather gruesome, but he wouldn't go into detail at this moment just yet. No need to traumatize the girl with such a story. "But for now, let's merely start organizing into piles and what now...and getting this office cleaned up some. Need to put in orders for new equipment and such as well."

Not easy to get to? Did that meant it was behind a rather complex locked safe or something? That would make sense, now wouldn't it? She glanced around the messy space and sighed, "They really did a number on this place, didn't they? Well I guess we'll just have to roll up our sleeves and get to work." Hunkering down she began to gather papers and then pulled out wire baskets from her desk that thankfully hadn't gotten smashed or destroyed. Now she just had to explain her system to Erik.
"Now when I did this the first time I dividied it and color coded it based on species, traits and genetic diagnoses. Each page is stamped with a particular color so those will be relatively simple to refile. Once we separate them by color hten it's just a matter of matching up the file name which is in black along the bottom right of the pages. Each page has the filename, number, code, species and current name for the Echo in question. I thought it would be wise to do every page since stapled copies and such could easily become separated." Picking up a sheet and demonstrating where her marks were. "Each file that was labeled completed went through the same process. Unfortunately I hadn't finished them all so those files are going to take a little longer to match up.
She picked up a set of colored markers and index cards and quickly wrote out the subheadings each color was associated with and attached a card to each basket. "Just place the correct colored papers in the correct basket. If you find more than one of the same file, you're more than welcome to paper clip them together to make it easier when we tackle that later but don't worry about that so much right now. Torn, or illegilble papers should go in this far basket on the right. Any questions?"

"just what you need. me velcroed to the floor and probably nude as well. would love that wouldn't you."
A slight chuckle before it got louder at Jessica's shouting.
"Hey! I can still hear you two you know!"

Erik blinked...and then gave a laugh. "Right, colors. That's good enough for me. But no more than an hours work and then we should all get some rest...been an agonizing day in my opinion and we don't need to burn out." Alright then, onto colors...colors he could keep up with.
"Oh so your mind is already going that direction is it? You're definately better now aren't you?" A little shrug. "There may be a certain appeal of velcro to me." Though a laugh at Jessica. "Go to bed Jessica, you're working too hard!" But a look back to James. "That is of course if I make it to my room tonight...have a lot to do...'

Lillia had no intentions of resting. She was too strung up from the day to even consider sleeping, not to mention she hadn't done a whole lot during the crisis. The least she could do was her job while Jelly was down for the count. There was no other way for her to help and she had to do something to take her mind off her mother. "Sure, Erik. Whatever you say." THough she had no intentions of doing it as well.

"Tell that to General Pain-in-my-a**!"
Another grumble and back to trying to tune the lovebirds out by turning up her music.
James smirked lightly.
"Let your assistants do thier jobs too, Jelena. your in no condition to be working your tail off when they can do it for you and thier not in serious pain or having medical and dental issues."
oh look, his wrist moved up and down, and his fingers made a fist and then laid out.
"And I'm allowed to indulge in that direction while I got you here with me and I'm bedridden until my bioware becomes fully operational."

He rolled his eyes, he knew that tone. "An hour...maybe two. Then if I have to drag you to living quarters and lock you in your room and give you tranqulizers, I will. I've done it to Trevy, don't think I won't do it to you too." And Erik more or less never bluffed...unless you were an echo, then he'd bluff his pants off.
"Breaks do not include yelling at people Jessica!" He himself was sitting down next to who Jessica dubbed General Pain-in-my-a**...and yes yes he was. But he was more focused on the notes he was scribbling down and would probably be working at all night, or notes he would fall asleep on in the middle of writing. Whichever came first.
She gave a scoffy laugh. "I don't think my tail could wag right now, even if I literally had one." And then a mock whine. "But I like my workaholic tendencies that require interventions from time to time, keeps my mind occupied from other things." Though she stuck her tongue out at him in childish fashion. Okay, he was right....she was in serious pain having medical and dental issues. To think...wonderfully straight and perfect teeth, now not so much. Should hit that b*****d in the teeth...with a pipe. A very heavy one. But a look to the sound of moving bioware as his hand moved somewhat. She leaned back on her own, taking bodily pressure off of her hips. "I suppose I should be flattered as unappealing as I am right now."

Papers flew, baskets were filled and Lillia easily restamped a few that she recognized as well as some others that had never gotten thier original stamp but were still in one piece. She was sitting at a makeshift table, writing out temporary labels for the files in her small, neat script. The chairs were designed for such work without breaking your back but even they could only do so much after a body had been in the same position for over four hours. She had noticed the two hour mark passing and had said nothing after noting Erik was quite tied up clearing off debris. She set down her pen for a moment and twisted her wrist to rid it of the cramp that had popped up. "Maybe you should take a break Erik."
