Also, if they demand you to purchase Photoshop CS before you can apply I don't think they are a very good company. Photoshop is product aimed at professionals and companies, if they can't provide it for you then it shows that they are really cheap. I for one wouldn't want to work for a business that was this frugal wrt essential tools.
I don't think they can check personally if you have a legal version of Photoshop, but Adobe does have certain things in place that make things created with illegal photoshop garbled when opened with a legal photoshop.

I'm happy using SAI for my normal drawings. Photoshop CS+ is required for the technique they use for spriting; if you don't have it, Juno will probably realize very quickly when training.
I figure they don't provide it for every part-time/remote contractor that comes in for the reason Juno is cautious about college students: a lot of them don't realize how much work is involved and quit the job after a few months. Juno already loses a lot of time training artists that don't stick, so the probably don't want to lose money on them, too.
Also, they want you to have Photoshop CS+ for file sharing purposes... if that's the case, they would catch me pretty fast if I weren't using a legal version, huh? xd

Well, you're going to college aren't you, Sor? I mean, Adobe offers a pretty significant discount on stuff if you're a college student. I think CS is like $300 for a legitimate version.
Though yeah, if you don't think you could commit the time then the investment probably isn't worth it. Though I would still consider it right before you graduate or something.

If I do apply and somehow get accepted in the future, I am definitely using that discount. :0
This quarter my workload isn't too bad, but it's getting the art done in a timely manner that I'm worried about. If my art shop has taught me anything, it's that I lose motivation pretty fast. e_e; I need to work on that.
Also thanks everyone for being so encouraging, even if I'm (probably) not going forward with it this time. It means a lot :> <3

i love everything about my new job except for 2 things:
1. how long it takes to get home (not so much how long it takes to get there; weirdly, it seems like getting there is no big deal), and, relatedly,
2. how it's never really clear when i should leave.
also, i poured boiling water over my hand making tea about an hour ago, so that, y'know, sucks.

Aldo: I don't usually like backgrounds either. Kinda looks weird when I go into Towns or zomg. It gets in the way mostly.
Prices usually go up after an item evolves, but yeah. Everyone knows that.
Got a new book (Guernsey and the Potato Peel Pie Society). I had no idea it received book of the year a few years ago. It's pretty good so far. The whole book is outlined through several letters.
Man, I went to the book store yesterday and there were so many bad books. Mostly dramas, books with 3 women in it, or vampires. Gotta say the worst one was about a Cookie Cutter Club or something (On the back, literally, "The secret ingredient is love!") UUUUUUUGH.
Almost was thinking about getting one of Pyre's favorite authors (Charlaine Harris, right?). But yeah....vampires. NO. Heh. I'm sure she has other books, but everywhere I looked....vampires. Oh well.

Sevi - I think she has a mystery series, but I forget what it's called. The vampire series is pretty much a mystery series, anyways.
