"No way in hell am I going with you, lady," said Remus, waggling his brows at Apatite in what was probably a more suggestive and obnoxious way than was strictly necessary. Still, it was better to be lighthearted about a situation than get so worked up you couldn't see things clearly, wasn't it?
Except -
- except now the general queen was changing. Now the general queen was moving, shifting, changing, and Remus hastily backed away, feeling, rather than seeing, something smack him in the back of his head. He caught sight of the lieutenant from earlier and made a face at him.
"Dude!" Remus yelled. "Your queen is turning into a legendary Pokemon or some s**t, I don't think I'm the disgusting one here!"

Ochre, Corrupted Super Senshi
Ochre found little time to respond to the dodged punch before the General-Queen herself executed a grab for his starseed. "s**t s**t s**t!" He cursed repeatedly as he stumbled away from the attempt. "Friendly fire here!" Though she hardly seemed to care; Apatite looked nigh hypnotized in her uncontrollable ire, and fast approached some kind of breaking point within herself. The corrupted senshi forgot about Remus entirely as he watched the signs of alteration unfold across her body.
Her hands. Something's wrong with her hands. No, something's wrong with all of her. Ochre raised hand to mouth, and felt blood. Did the senshi hit him? No - his nose was bleeding again. He felt both overwhelming pride and fear vying for control over him. Groaning, he backed away further.
He waved to Prehnite then, beckoning him over. "Get out of the way!" He realized his mistake in assuming the General-Queen needed any help at all, for the power that emanated from her corrected him. No, she started to exceed that of the princess and others that chose to fight her - and she would consume them as she did the other senshi and agents alike. Ochre found it nigh impossible to tear his eyes from her, transfixed as he was, but he urged himself to look toward the great doors. More gathered there, generals and captains and eternals and knights, but he could not bring himself to step far from the washing, iniquitous chaos of Apatite. Rooted as he was, he could not fathom departure.
When he looked to Prehnite again, his gaze was almost pleading. He could not articulate himself, and he could not mentally discern what he needed.
Well it had been less a tackle and more of her landing bodily on the lieutenant, but even she had felt the damage done. She didin't think she was going to forget elbow meeting torso anytime soon. And sure it hadn't seem to have done much but it couldn't have felt pleasant.
She ignored that it wasn't supposed to and tried to focus on the fact she was trying to incapacitate the woman so she could flee.
That got a bit harder as she had to wrestle the woman before she found herself flung away, not far but it was surprising none-the-less. A little dazed, and in some pain, Lacrimosa struggled to focus and get herself back up. When she managed to look over at her target her heart plummeted, realizing what Clipboardite had not.
They'd ended up too near the stairs. She swallowed thickly, trying to force herself to get up and over to her before something could happen but she wasn't quick enough, managing to get just a little closer with her arm outstretched when the woman tumbled back. Lacrimosa reached where she had just been in time to watch her head hit the stairs.
She'd looked away by the time she finally stopped, tears rolling down her cheeks. She may not have been the cause but she sure felt the guilt, may as well have been the one to push her all because she hadn't been focusing on their location.
This had been the last thing she'd wanted.
And it had been hard to move, to bring herself to do much else but mourn the loss of life. She may have been trying to kill the senshi, sure, but maybe one day she could have seen the light. Or at least realized that not all the senshi were horrible. She'd never know that now.
The situation, the Chaos around her went unnoticed, uncared for, as she struggled to come to terms with this. At least until Elpis' voice managed to break through. Brown looked up then around and finally the Senshi of Cherry Blossoms managed to get to her feet. Something bad was going down and, with the end to this battle, she had no desire to remain.
Searching out her friend, Lacrimosa moved to regroup and retreat. It was really the only option.

lol omg thank you for the retreat, i was beginning to struggle with a post for her
shyanimegrl
thank you for the wonderful interaction! it's certainly lead to something new for lacrimosa to deal with <3
Aurostibite kept his focus on the knight as best he could, eyes narrowed in concentration. He had to give him credit; he was holding his own well enough against the three of them, but it did not make up for the fact that he had invaded his home, his space, the place that was meant to be sacred for them all.
Order did not belong here.
He'd managed to do a decent amount of damage, but it was returned to him a second later, the knight's fist slamming into his gut. Aurostibite had not had time to parry the blow, and staggered back, winded and gasping, his feet skidding on the floor of the castle so that he tilted off balance.
But there was anger flashing hot and fierce in his eyes.
"You are the ones who have taken what belongs to us" Aurostibite seethed. "Don't hurt yourself when you fall off that high and mighty horse of yours, knight."
He lunged forward, intending a strike - but the screams and shout from around them were enough to make him turn. Apatite was changing now, her body shifting, and Aurostibite's attention was momentarily dragged towards her, his mouth opening slightly in surprise.
His head snapped back to the knight, eyes darkening.
"Go pay a visit to our general queen if you care so much about the right ways," Aurostibite snarled, and then he was leaping back, away from the howl of insanity, stepping deliberately from knight and his cohorts to try and leave them to Apatite's fate.

Disposable Tweedledumite - Engaging Metis in battle
The stubby general got a nice elbow to the face courtesy of the Jupiter knight and he stumbled backward grasping at his nose as blood poured freely from it. Oh how it smarted, Dum thought it might even be broken and yet it made him giggle, toss his head back and laugh gleefully.
"Oh DEE," he squealed to his dancing brother who was getting his groove on, "look, these guys really wanna play."
The knight was right, they were sociopaths who enjoyed the mess and carnage of battle, but right as he was rearing up to slam the pick side of his hammer a senshi(Metis) was throwing a glowing ball at him and --
Oh my.
His head was spinning and there were fragmented visions dancing before him. He saw bits of blood, a lifeless body - bodies - littered across the floor, starseeds being ripped out left and right. He and his twin lifeless on the floor.
It took longer than he would've liked to for the visions to disappear but when they did a cheshire grin was stretched across his stumpy face.
"Liiiiiiittle giiirl~" he exclaimed in a sing-song voice and skipping over to the pretty senshi. "You shouldn't have done that!" He giggled, lashing out with a fist then his hammer pick.

Lieutenant Tourmaline Location - Near the Door. Not Near Apatite. Action - Fightin' the Good Fight
In the seconds that it took Lieutenant Tourmaline to be incredibly pleased with herself for knocking an eternal ranked senshi to the ground she was caught in the face by his nails raking along her cheek. Fury took over her features and she took a swing at him -- Only to then be bonked in the head by a -- a feather duster?!
"Guess I'm not the only one with a s**t weapon." She grinned, scrambling off of the injured eternal (Chaldene) in order to launch herself at the page in the striped pants. With a weapon like a feather duster he had to be closer to her rank; whatever the knight equivalent of it was, at least.
If she could take him out it would mean one less problem to worry about for General Labyrinthite. She didn't want him to think that she wasn't capable of pulling her own in a fight, after all. Besides, how many more times could the eternal Chaldene fire off his attack anyways? What more harm could he do?
Lt. Prehnite, hiding behind Standing with Ochre "Says the sick-o who was hitting on Hannibal Lecters greatest fan!" The words snarled with frustration of dealing with sooo much stupid..and a Pokemon fan at that. He had to roll his eyes at the Senshi, Apatite shouldn't have been anyone's 'type'. Recalling his trowel as he heeded Ochres call and moved; darting practically behind the higher ranking Corrupt. He tried not to trip his own a** over all of that hair. He would ask later how the Super even moved with so much of it, and why was he bleeding...Wait had the Senshi...? Later, he promised himself, when they weren't in danger of becoming fodder to the General Queens fire. <********, we're all so ******** would be good right now, living would be better!" He caught Ochres gaze and understood, it was like watching a train wreck, or a really well made horror movie. No matter how gory or twisted it got; it was hard to look away. The woman was demonic Vortex incarnate. The Corrupt seemed transfixed by the sight of the transformation, the influx of overwhelming power, and Prehnite desperately wanted to shake him out of it.
"Teleporting, you can do that right? A few feet more even, the balcony!" God's he itched to turn tail and run, Rik would have his a** if he ended up back on his couch again half dead..or worse...
He wouldn't be that guy though. Not unless Ochre ordered him to. Even then, he doubted he could get far enough away fast enough..

Apatite laughed, a cynical, bellowing noise that was downright chilling. There was no mirth in her voice—if it could even be called that, anymore. It was hollow and venomous.
Cybele's book and Gevaudan's body ricocheted off of her; it didn't seem like she'd felt anything at all. She continued to stalk across the battlefield, drawing starseeds and blood from everyone close to her.
Nightlite's starseed had been sweet, and she licked her lips after devouring the offered meal. But her hunger was far from sated; she pulled several more starseeds and tried to shove them all into her mouth at once.
Pyrite was lucky; one stray starseed missed and fell to the ground nearby her. Ochre was lucky he wasn't any closer to Apatite; she grabbed someone fairly close to him, but her attention drew her in another direction before she had time to lunge at him.
She missed Remus' comments, but had she had her wits about her, she probably would have enjoyed a little more banter. And another kiss.
But luck didn't seem to be on Apatite's side, tonight.
Bifrost's shield hit her and she snarled; Bifrost had managed to draw blood. Apatite shrieked and lunged to attack the knight but Delphi's scepter slammed into her face. It might not have done enough damage on its own, but coupled with Apatite's own speed right into it, her nose seemed to break. Blood dribbled down her face unceremoniously and she stared, confused and blinking.
She was disoriented even without Ganymede's attack; Valhalla's punch landed right on her injured arm and even with her adrenaline and power surge, she was seeing stars.
But then Ganymede's attack started to take affect, and this time Apatite couldn’t really control it; she started clawing at her skin, desperately scratching off scales as if that would release some of the heat welling inside of her. She was so distracted that she didn't see Duhr's magic coming right at her; it flung her with great speed.
But Apatite wasn't going down. She summoned her chakram and tried to lash out, even as the tornado whirled her around mercilessly. She had taken a lot of damage, some to herself, and some from others. She was a bleeding, scowling mess.
And then, as she went to slash with her chakram, Skoll managed to catch her. The senshi missed her face entirely as Apatite was thrown around by the tornado, but Skoll got a hit even better than that.
Skoll hit her in her elbow, and Apatite's chakram plunged straight into her neck.
The tornado's pull was lost on her a few seconds later and she collapsed to the ground, but the damage had been done.
She was alive, and breathing, but her own weapon had pierced her. She couldn’t pull it out, but her hand hovered just over her weapon. She was trying to breath, but she could only inhale slow, shallow breaths. Blood pulsed from her injury.
She was losing color, fast.
She was dying.
And then she forced herself up on unstable legs. Scales coated her whole body now, except for the few she'd managed to scrape off.
One slow breath in.
The scales started to turn pink. The glistened, and then trembled.
One slow breath out.
Apatite's eyes were crazed, but strangely focused on the empty air in front of her.
One slow breath in.
Apatite's hands clenched into fists at her side and she squeezed her eyes shut and screamed an awful, blood curdling scream that cut through the commotion of the room. It was enough to temporarily deafen anyone too close to her, and it could be heard throughout the entire castle and surrounding area.
And then, Apatite's scales shot off of her like tiny, bladed bullets. They flew in every direction, slashing right into—or through—everything they hit.
But Apatite fell, in a crumpled heap, to the floor.
Her skin was raw and bloody, and she wasn't moving. And then, she turned to dust. The only thing left was a shattered, splintered pink starseed that flickered weakly.
And then it, too, faded.
For a moment, things may have felt strangely quiet, but it might have just been the lingering hum of Apatite's deafening scream. It did not last.
Youma of all shapes and sizes began sprouting up in the castle; they were lashing out at the intruders without hesitation, and they were overwhelming them, quickly.
And to top it all off, the energy signature of another General Sovereign just flickered onto their radar.
The Castle was being overrun, and more Negaverse Agents were appearing by the second, confused and enraged and ready for battle.

Capt. Longislandite (DISPOSABLE)
Longislandite had no idea anything untoward was going down. She had work to do in the lab, and it wasn't the sort of thing she could put off no matter how insistently her cell phone buzzed in her pocket. Anyway, it was probably just her mother asking why she'd turned down another date with such a nice young man. When was Longislandite going to give her grandchildren? The answer: Never. Longislandite's only children were her plants, the tiny little bulbs she coaxed into growing even in the most adverse conditions. Maybe someday there'd be a strain of grains named after her in the undeveloped world somewhere... or maybe even in the uncharted depths of space! Mmm. One could only hope. It'd taken such a long time to get the funding for this project... not even Superman himself could have dragged her away.
Chris Evans' Captain America, though... mm. Longislandite couldn't think of very many things at all that she wouldn't abandon for Captain America.
That was when she felt the abrupt pull of a summon into Negaspace. One of her plants dangled from a hand, trailing enriched dirt and infant root systems. The other, and the complicated metal apparatus attached to it, was already up and aiming at the nearest senshi. She dropped the plant--goodbye, little one; goodbye--and charged into the fray.
Her work was important, but it was the Negaverse that had secured her funding on the condition that she fight for them. She would do literally anything to secure the continued flow of those grants, including attack children. She knew her duty.

General Labyrinthite - Still at the door, moving up the stairs to peek at the commotion
The knight moved, avoided his potentially devastating blow but it was no matter to the general because the small man was throwing a tantrum against the wall like a child who didn't get the toy he wanted to play with and then -- he was stomping up the stairs as a child might, pouty and huffy.
He didn't need to waste his time on someone so...pitiful.
Besides, Alkaid had descended down the stairs with a powerful energy signal hot on her tail and was addressing him. "Don't worry, no one will pass us." He, Tourmaline, Cinnabar, and the twin captains were more than enough.
Speaking of Tourmaline, his lieutenant was in a grapple with people above her weight class and he wasn't going to stand for it. Magic rippled around him, creating a ripple around him sapping his energy as he moved forward. He felt heavy, weighted down with his head hazy from the sudden heaviness. He was growing irritable, with all these pesky knights and the senshi companions. He moved sluggishly forward, hoping to rip the oar from the squire's(Erebus) hands but his energy was diminishing at an unnatural rate and he decided against it, gathering up the energy to teleport out of the rippling pool and towards the top of the stairs.
The tide of the battle was shifting, General-Queen Apatite's energy signature was shifting and he needed to know what was happening. It was with horror that he saw her body shift and become covered in scales that launched at the surrounding area. He ducked, just in time, but his gaze locked with a white haired senshi and something about them left him slightly off-kilter.
Deciding there was nothing he could about Apatite, she was lost but there were others he could tend to. There was the eternal (Chaldene) and page (Venice) that were ganging up on Tourmaline, so he descended back down the stairs hesitating between those attacking his or going after the squire. Lifting his scythe with one hand he dashed forward, leaping as he struck out at Erebus, using the size and range to stay out of the ripples as long as possible.

Watching what was going on unfold, with some clue as to the end result, the General stood at the Lieutenants side ready to get them out of there if need be. His slate eyes scanning the area for any who might need help escaping when the s**t hit the fan - and it would. There was no way it wouldn't with the way she was behaving and what was going on.
"Those too close to her are going to be very sorry - very soon. She can't continue taking all those starseeds..." He whispered, for just the Lieutenant at his side to hear. Watching as she made her way across the floor he grabbed the Lieutenant and teleported them elsewhere in the hall, to keep out of her range. "You don't want to be near her right now...she's going to go youma." In some spectacular, and gruesome, manner.
Watching people attack her he shook his head. He could, maybe even should, go and protect her and if she wasn't so driven mad he would have. As it was though...he valued his life more than hers. She was already lost to them, as far as he was concerned, and he had things to live for - many things.
Watching as she was lifted from the ground, by some senshi's attack, he shook his head. That would only upset her more, everything they were doing was going to gain her ire even more. If she was angry now...just wait. What he wasn't expecting, and what shocked him, was her own weapon planting itself into her neck. Gasping, a gloved hand flying up to cover his mouth, he stared with wide eyes. He had never seen a General Queen die but what would they do now? They lacked many ion charge and able to run things, even if he always did wonder about her sanity and ability to lead. What now?
Biting his lip he watched her as time seemed to stand still, thoughts moving through his head rather quickly, and then she was getting up onto her feet. As she finally screamed he grabbed the Lieutenant and threw the other, and himself, down to the ground. He didn't trust anything right now and her moving and doing anything had to be bad. Best was to be on the ground and out of her range. Hopefully she couldn't get them with whatever would come next.
When he lifted his head he saw scales on the ground littering it and then her - Apatite on the ground. Picking himself up he moved toward her body only to see it turn to dust as he reached it. She was gone...another leader gone.
Shaking his head he looked around as his senses went off alerting him to all the new youma flooding the hall and someone else...a General Queen. There was only one whom it could be and he hoped she could handle this - all of it. This was a mess and a big loss for them.
Looking to the Lieutenant he shouted to him. "Get over here, I'll keep you safe." Hopefully the youma wouldn't try and start with him, or the other.

Moving to the side to try and side step the incoming Lieutenant, not wanting to be tackled to the ground, he tilted his head at her and gave her a somewhat curious look. Did she throw herself at everyone? If so it would become easy to predict - quickly. Letting his weapon vanish, since it really was useless, he moved in to aim a fist at her. He might not have magic, or much of a weapon, but he could still fight and he would do just that. He wanted to help Erebus, he really did, but he didn't have the opportunity right now to do so. he had a fight of his own - than he could help as is seemed his fellow knight of Ganymede had decided to leave them down here.
"Not feathers - Venice." He corrected her in a cool, if not somewhat cold, tone of voice as his dark eyes fixed on her. He was not feathers, or stripes. He was tired of those nicknames - they were...bothersome. The only persons allowed to give him a nickname were those he was close to, family, and Erebus.
It seemed something big was going on upstairs as he felt some odd dipping and spiking of a huge energy signature, a very dark one - the General Queen. And then...at some point it seemed to explode and vanish - what had happened? Was that what happened when someone died?

Disposable Lieutenant Peachikite
She was almost surprisingly successful in her attempts to choke out a senshi with her useless string of beads - that is - until another haphazardly walked into her, knocking her aside.
Fate has a funny way of working things out. Maybe she was meant to be training in the Negaspace, on this horrid, doomed day. Maybe she was even meant to taking part in the battle alongside their revered General Queen leader. And maybe, just maybe, she was meant to be shoved at that very moment, the same very moment that Apatite exploded into thousands of pink, dagger-like scales.
Amber eyes glared at Thrymr, the senshi that had foiled her attack, but only for a brief moment before the light left her gaze. Being as close as they were, a wayward scale, now shrapnel, had shot itself directly into the back of her skull, the fresh Lieutenant taking the hit in the stead of the Super Senshi.
Her mouth remained open, forever prepared to make an angry, witty retort, as the short girl slumped down to her knees, then collapsed on the ground as the string of beads fell from her grip, shattering upon impact as a dozen small balls rolled across the stone floor. The back of her body, upon closer inspection, seemed to be riddled with scales meant for the senshi of the Southern Lights.

Sailor Duhr, Senshi of Tornadoes
Holy mother of waffles.
She couldn't believe what she was witnessing - had witnessed - as the terrifying General Queen seemed to shake and quake like a bomb about to blow up...which she did.
There was no time to dodge the pink scales as they shot out, tiny blades flying in every direction. It felt almost painless, at first, when the first one sliced across her cheek - the second one snipping off the top part of her shoulder.
Letting out a yowl (screaming would have been probably better, but Duhr didn't think that quickly), she knew it was time to retreat - dead swingysword General or not. She was out of twisters anyways and out of time to boot, it would seem.
Her hand, which had temporarily moved up to hold pressure against the nicked wound, was useless so Duhr swung out her high heeled foot one last time at the General before hollering out for her companions - where was Remus? Had he fallen from the General Queen's attacks too? And why was the redheaded Inari so darn quiet?

Sailor Dia, Senshi of Candy
She'd felt the summons before she even realized what was happening. The tug was almost sickening, invisible hands grabbing hold of her from all sides and pulling, yanking her almost violently. It had been an ordinary evening at The Sugar Cube, almost boring, even. She'd just finished making a hot chocolate for herself (extra marshmallows, of course) and had snatched the tongs up to help herself to an accompany sweet. Or two. The chocolate chip cookies were especially fresh and smelled especially delicious and it felt like an absolute crime not to have one while imbibing hot chocolate, right? And Daniel wasn't around to scold her, which was an extra perk - free drinks, free snacks, only one or two quiet customers keeping to themselves and their drinks at their tables. She could sneak into the backroom and munch on her snack without being caught.
But no. The tug had come, yanking her out of her normal, ordinary evening at work and suddenly darkness and cold and a creeping feeling of complete awfulness. It took several moments for her eyes to adjust, as well as recognize the fact that she was no longer in her cafe uniform, but instead stood as Sailor Dia, an extra ten pounds of weight now hanging down from her scalp as her hair swayed with the sudden landing. She'd appeared on the stairwell just in time to bear witness to the horrible demise of one of their esteemed leaders - the only one, in fact, who had a decent hair color.
But hair color bias fell to the side as a distraught expression spread across her face. It was like a slow motion scene from out of a horror movie - was this real? Was this really happening, right then and there? This is what the others, the other Negaverse agents, were talking about - this was the destruction, the terror of the White Moon. These were the people hellbent on destroying the world as opposed to purifying it.
These were the enemies.
Gloved fingers gripped the railing of the staircase - some of the senshi seemed to be fleeing, now that the General Queen was dead. Go figure. Come storming in, slaughter some unsuspecting victims and then turn tail and run. Others, however, lingered to fight, to further maim and destroy a kingdom that they had no right to even stand in. They had invaded her new home, her new headquarters - their sanctuary and was abolishing it without any second thought. Without considering the fact that they were killing people who had done nothing to start this fight - not tonight. Not now. No, no, no.
The other hand moved up to cover her mouth, the disbelief still evident in her gaze as she watched the chaos erupting on the floor beneath her. It was incredible and it was confusing, especially for someone so new to the Negaverse scene. She was so enraptured with the battle down below that she failed to notice her friend and the tall, pink fauxhawked General standing behind her, moving forward to take her shoulder.

Lockinite and Keyesite | Captains of the Negaverse
The call of Chaos emanated down the hallowed hall and to the great door where the twins stood guard. It was unmistakable. A poweful force was decaying and taking everything with it to the darkness.
"We must join the battle ...
... for one higher than us calls."
Lockinite and Keyesite were drawn to the entergy signature of their General-Queen like moths to a flame.
But there was little the twin captains could do for Apatite.
She was dying.
"I am sorry, my sister...
... and I as well, my brother."
Each sibling placed a tender hand on the other's chest.
"It simply can go no other way."
And two glittering star seeds were consumed by the madness.

From where she stood, bent over, Delphi was able to see what damage her scepter caused the General Queen and felt a smile tug at her lips. She had done something, she had drawn blood, and others had joined in - a lot of others. She wasn't the only one attacking the General Queen now, as she saw several others joining in.
What she wasn't expecting was for the pink haired woman's own weapon to pierce her neck and for what happened in the moments, or minutes, following.
Watching as the general Queen stood, slowly, it seemed like a scene out of some dramatic movie or play. She was sure to topple over soon and die but not after shouting something or making one last stand. That was how it always seemed to go in the movies anyway, and she watched a lot of movies. Rather than words, rather than an attack, it was a scream so loud she brought her hands up and clapped them over her ears. It was because of this, and her own injuries, that she missed what came next and was brought to the ground herself.
Cut in various areas, right through her uniform, blood welled and stained the light fabric of her uniform. Her coat might have protected her, at least a little bit, but she had ditched that somewhere a while back. Now Delphi herself was on the floor not far from the General Queen who dusted.
The next thing she felt were youma - lots of them and a General Queen - another one. How many did they have? She couldn't get her feet under her, she hurt and was bleeding and wanted to curl up, make herself small. Instead she lay there wishing for hr coat and it's softness, it's warm comfort, as she hoped she wasn't noticed and easily picked off.
