Harlow arrived at the bookstore a bit later and nodded a hello at whomever was working. She headed back to a row of books that had caught her eye. She began skimming the books, looking for a title that would also catch her eye.
Hmm...Every time the bell rang to the shop door, it caused her to look up, as she was extremely paranoid. She finally reached out to grab one book titled "Memoirs of a Geisha." Her mom had read it back when she had her surgery and she was never able to get a hold of it... She was in plain sight of the door, she'd be one of the first people you'd see when you walked in.

🎼 Rin and Deimos ◘ Shraipua
The little bell softly rang as Rin opened the door with one hand and walked in, Deimos right behind her with her hand around his wrist. He had just wanted to head back home before more people started moving about for the day, but Rin forced insisted that they check a few places out."It'll be fun. Besides there's not many people in here." Rin stated looking over her shoulder at Deimos as she walked.
A moment later Rin, bumped into someone and quickly managed to re balance herself before releasing her grip on Deimos and looking at the person she had bumped into, bowing. "I am so sorry. You aren't hurt are you?" she spoke quickly worry in her voice. Deimos let out a small sigh, typical Rin, taking his gaze off of Rin, his uncovered red eye turned onto the dark haired girl with a gas mask on.

Harlow had been immersed in the back of a book's cover, reading what it was about and frowning at how short the summary was. Most of the back of the book was just how it was, like many other books, New York's Best Seller... She sighed and moved to place the book back where she had found it when she was suddenly bumped into by a swarm of pink. She caught herself, before she fell, sticking her arms out to catch her balance, but a'las, not saving the book. It fell in front of the two with a soft thud. She righted herself, turning a dark red, which was only barely visible above the edges of her mask.
"U-um...no...I'm fine..."She said this quietly, as the mask distorts her voice a lot. There wasn't much else to say, or do, so she was left feeling awkward, looking at the two, still in a bit of shock from the sudden grab of her attention.

Rin felt relief when the girl stated that she was alright and didn't seem to notice as her brother gently picked up the book giving it a quick look over before holding it out to the girl. "Oh, I'm Rin and this is my brother Deimos."Rin introduced themselves to the girl, Deimos giving a small nod of greetings. He wasn't really one for social interactions, that was Rin's things, everything he did just seemed awkward and forced. "Don't worry, he's not as mean as he looks." Rin giggled teasing her brother a bit. It wasn't uncommon for people to be frightened of Deimos, Rin was well aware of that, but she was still determined to get him a friend.

Harlow gently took the book from the boy now known as Deimos after he scanned the cover.
"T-thanks."She sputtered out as he handed it to her. Her eyes, light green dulled with lots of grey, darted to Rin as she introduced herself. "H-hello. I'm Harlow." She smiled slightly, but of course you couldn't see it, instead, it was given away by the crinkling of skin of around her eyes. "He doesn't look very mean..."She flicked her attention back to Deimos now. She liked the style of his mask. It was different than hers...as hers was a half-faced gas mask."I like your mask."She didn't know if it was rude or not to comment on it...but, at least the comment was genuine."What um...what district do you guys live in?"She didn't know much about this place and was pretty much helpless when it came to directions, places of interest, etc...

Rin smiled "It's nice to meet you Harlow." she said cheerfully letting out a small giggle as Harlow stated that Deimos didn't look very mean and that she liked his mask. Deimos just looked back at Harlow not having the slightest idea of how to respond to that, most people didn't even see him in his normal form, but Rin had made him promise not to change. Feeling a light punch on his shoulder, Deimos' attention turned onto Rin who made a small gesture with her head towards Harlow as she tried to get him to speak. Looking back at Harlow, Deimos bowed his head slightly "Umm thanks, yours is cool to."he spoke calmly casting a side glance at Rin who smiled back reassuring him that what he said was fine.
Rin's tail flicked a bit behind her as she looked back at Harlow then back to Deimos, wanting him to try and keep the conversation going. Deimos wasn't sure what to say, they didn't exactly have a place, it was just some abandoned house they had come across when they arrived here."Umm we're... still kind of moving about."Deimos said hoping that Rin would say something but knowing that she wanted him to converse this time.

"T-thanks."This was the second time that she uttered the word in his direction. She tucked her book under her arm and began toying with a strand of hair, which is what she did often when she was anxious. Not that they made her anxious, all people do, because she gets stares and whatnot. She moved to rub at her arm a bit, instead of toying with her hair. "Oh. Well. If you guys need help moving...or something...I'd...I'd be glad to help..." She offered in a small voice. She wasn't sure if they'd take her up on the offer, but she can paint rooms and definitely help move in furniture. "U-um. Have you guys been here long? I...I uh just moved in."She wasn't sure if she was addressing Rin or Deimos at this point, as Deimos looked uncomfortable conversing, and Rin looked at ease. She didn't mind it, though. She knew how he felt, because that was how she felt, even with Rin, as nice as she is.

Rin smiled happily at Harlow's offer to help them move in "Thanks, though we're still trying to find a good place to stay in."Rin spoke knowing that Deimos wouldn't have a clue how to cover that. Giving Deimos a soft nudge with her shoulder, Rin smirked a bit as she made him continue. Deimos gave a small nod and rubbed the back of his neck his eyes going off to the side a bit. "No, we only got here more recently... what about you?" Deimos asked only to realize a moment later that she had already mentioned that. "frig... ummm sorry never mind that last part."Deimos stuttered.
Seeing that Rin wasn't going to step in and save him Deimos stumbled along "Rin wanted to take a look around the town...." Deimos explained hearing Rin suppressing a small giggle at his awkwardness.

"Ah...I see...well...when you find a place, I'd be happy to help then."She smiled, her eyes crinkling up again. Her attention turned to Deimos when Rin nudged him again and then she giggled, which was a small sound that you had to listen for in order to hear it, when he stumbled over his words."It's okay. U-um...if you guys want...I could possibly accompany you...? I think I-It'd be good for me to see the town, as well...b-but only if you guys want."She didn't want to be rude and just plainly invite herself along for the trip. Maybe there would be a beach...or some quiet places for her to go and read...

Deimos heard the small giggle from Harlow and his face turned slightly red underneath the mask making it unnoticeable. Rin nodded excitedly as Harlow offer to accompany them. "That would be great! It's always nice to have kind people around." Rin stated looking at Deimos who looked back for a moment "Right?"Rin asked trying once again to make Deimos continue the conversation.
Deimos nodded a bit "Umm yeah." he spoke then looked over to Harlow"Feel free to join us. It'll be nice having someone else for Rin to rub her energy on."Deimos said teasingly casting a glance at Rin only to receive a light punch in the arm. At least if they took a look around then he could find quiet areas to relax at during the night. "Anywhere in mind Rin?" Deimos asked looking at his little sister. Rin thought for a moment before lightly shaking her head then turning her gaze onto Harlow "What about you? Anywhere you want to start the adventure?" she asked excitedly.

Harlow smiled again when Rin punched Deimos in the arm, not to make fun of course, just because their brotherly-sisterly love was amusing to her. She'd never had siblings, or many friends for that matter, so she'd never really experienced familiarity like this before. She tried not to giggled about Deimos' statement about Rin's energy being rubbed around, but failed, and another soft little chuckle escaped her lips. She turned to set the book that she was looking at back, and then turned again to reply to Rin.
"O-oh...well...Maybe there's a beach or a lake...or a forest of some sort around here?"She knew it was cold, so swimming of course was out of the question, but it would be sunny, so it would be nice to sit and read in the sun...but perhaps she'd do that another day.

Deimos caught the little laugh from Harlow as Rin punched him lightly in the arm, and couldn't help but to smile a bit at how much people seemed to enjoy Rin's teasing. Rin smiled and nodded "Alright that sounds fun! Let's go!" Rin cheered leading the way over to the door, the little bell ringing once again as she opened the door. New friends means new adventures. Plus the girl didn't seem intimidated by Deimos at all, she even said that she liked his mask. Now was her chance, her chance to get Deimos a friend!
Once the other two members of their party were out, Rin set off, leading the way for their journey.

Pushing open the door Geneviève quietly made her way into the bookstore and looked around at the large variety the store offered. She quickly looked through her bag and grabbed her glasses case, taking her reading glasses out and sliding them up her nose. With a hop in her step she began wandering the around the shop, there were a lot of good looking books. She decided to definitely have to make a second look around once she found the books she came for. Running her fingers along the spines of the books as she read the titles, she came to a stop once she found what she was looking for. Grabbing the book off the shelf she held it up and smiled at the words staring back at her, 'UnDivided', the last book in the Unwind series and one she had yet to read. Tucking the book under her arm she continued browsing around the store to find the other few books she needed for her collection, just feeling so comfortable around the multitude of books, like nothing could go wrong.
