good i mewed then my eyes filled with amusment as she chased after the butterfly
she'll make a great warrior i thought and laughed to myself as i turned and joined greythroat and dawnfrost for our hunting trip

Nightkit leaped into the air and batted the butterfly with her paws. It fell to the ground and she quickly picked it up in her teeth and bounced into the nursery. "Look what I caught!" the she-kit mewed trying to get the attention of the queens, who were mostly sleeping.

i heard the faint meow of nightkit catching her prey and smiled again to myself as i got ready to pounce on a squirrel collecting nuts..here it goes i thought to myself just pounce and bite
i pounced and quickly bit its throat
i gave a mrrow of satisfaction and scraped dirt over it where i wouldnt forget it

Greythroat
Greythroat looked over to see a bird eating seeds on the forest floor. He tensed muscles prepared to spring before a scent drifted across his nose. His eyes widened as he realized what the scent was. It's badger he thought as he raced over to where Rainpaw was hunting. "there's a badger nearby" he mewed softly as he could while his apprentice could still hear him from the 5 fox-lengths away that was between them.
Nightkit
Nightkit padded out of the nursery and was surprised by a scent. Her eyes widened in fear as she remembered the scent. "The badger. It's close by!" she wailed out loudly in fear as she ran around eyes and ears trying to focus everywhere at once. She ran into Firefang in her frenzy. "Sorry ,Firefang." the she-kit said as her fur bristled with terror at the thought of the badger.

Firefang
Frefang looked down the bundle that had bumped into him. He realized it was a bristling Nghtkit. Just as he opened his mouth to ask what was wrong, he knew, and began bristling himself. "Get into the nursery," he told her. Not waiting for the kit to react, Firefang rushed around the camp and made sure they all were on guard for another attack.

Nightkit
Nightkit for once today listened and run into the nurse. She hid herself inside to the right of the entrance. She unsheathed her claws and prepared for the badger to come barreling through the nursery at any moment.
Greythroat
The tom-cat turned around at the sound of something moving through the undergrowth toward them. The black and white head of a badger appeared two fox lengths away from him. He turned, gave Rainpaw a shove and mewed to her "Get Firefang and Dawnfrost. I'll handle her for now." Greythroat let a growl and ran towards the badger claws out stretched to destroy the creature that had killed one of his clan mates.

Dawnfrost
Dawnfrost's head snapped up at the sound of Greythroat's battle cry and sprinted out of camp trying to find the source of the howling. She came up on the badger that had killed he clanmates while she had sat around in the forest Now im going to teach this mangey furball a lesson Dawnfrost pelted ran along the badger's back side and grappled onto its loose neck fur....

Greythroat
Greythroat jumped on the badger's back and clawed at it's pelt. He hit the ground a few seconds later when the badger threw him off. He lay stunned on the forest floor until he saw Dawnfrost running by. He quickly got up and threw himself at the badger. He managed to sink his teeth into the badger's hind leg and and clawed at the badger furiously.

i scented the badger a second before greythroat warned me and my blood ran cold with dread...i was about to get dawnfrost when she ran up past me and i scurried after her and leaped up over the badger spinning and striking out with a claw before neatly landing on the other side perfectly balanced on my hindlegs. then i clawed my way up the its hind legs and scratched until blood welled up beneath me.
is nightkit safe? i thought as i growled my battle cry

Greythroat felt one of the badger's paws hit his head. The pain hazed his mind and he felt himself losing conciseness. He scented and felt the decent amount of blood leaking from his wound before he passed out. His last thought before he blacked out was 'This could be fatal.'

Firefang
Seeing Nightkit was safe, Firefang darted towards the badger scent, after Dawnfrost. When he saw the badger, he let out a furious yowl and ran faster. The fierce warrior managed to slice the beast's chest, as it was occupied with the others. Then he noticed Greythroat laying with blood around him. Firefang let out another yowl and ran around the badger, slashing at its side as he went to the other warrior. His pelt was bristling as he gave Greythroat a sniff. He seemed alive for now, but Firefang wondered how long that would last. "You two lead the badger away, I'm going to get the medicine cat," he yowled to Rainpaw and Dawnfrost.

Nightkit listened to the some-what distant yowls of the fight. She quickly padded out of the nursery and sat down immediately outside it so that she could make out what the yowls were about. She heard Firefang's yowl something about getting the medicine cat and her heart filled with the dread of possibly having to see another one of her clanmates lain out in the center of camp.

i heard firefang's orders and nodded curtly afraid that greythroat would die too
no i thought to myself he wont die he cant hes my mentor
with that thought i raked my claws dow the badgers nose side by side with dawnfrost and bit its leg until it through me off...i was shaken a bit but i got back up and went at it again

Dawnfrost
Dawnfrost lept off the bager and sklirted this way and that distracting it and leading it away. The speckled she cat nipped the hind legs then jumped around to the front to batter it's belly. This badger deserves no mercy She thought to herself and willed herself to run faster, bite harder, and keep the rest of her clan safe

Willowstar looked at her clan as she padded out of her den. Her fur was warmed by the bright sun and she smiled.
