puppylove713 I have a two week break then I go back for summer semester. Totally against my wishes I may add. I have never taken classes in the summer and really wish I didn't have to now. The price you pay for your dreams I suppose.

Well of this is going to happen if I make it past this semester. I think I will be alright in the end, but one can never know for sure.

Then just keep racing onwards till the end. That is my plan, however, I have already sealed at least a C in two of my classes and those would be Clinical Pathology and Surgical Techniques. The rest of them I have to wait and see how I do on the finals to see if I pass or fail.

I don't know what my final grade is for Anesthesia or Radiology yet because I haven't taken the final exam for them yet.

As mentioned in the private message, I managed to pass all classes even if it was just barely for anesthesia. But I was so close to that B in the end... Damn me and my stupid mistakes in those previous exams... Oh well, passing is passing in my opinion. However, a lot of people didn't pass anesthesia because the average was only 62/80 and you needed 64/80 on the practical to pass it and the class. I lucked out with a 67/80... I'm just glad that the worst semester is over now.

As for next semester I will have four classes, but two of which are only 8 week term classes and don't start till a little later in the semester and two are totally online if I remember correctly. Those classes would be Clinical Applications, Small Animal Medicine, and two others that I forgot the name of at the moment...

I feel confident in my abilities for three out of the four. It is Clinical Applications that has me a bit nervous because it is a combination of everything we have learned with our hands on skills. Putting animals under anesthesia and monitoring them, blood draws, taking radiographs, bandaging, putting on splints, etc. That kind of makes me nervous because one mistake with the anesthesia could kill the animal... As for one of the classes that I couldn't remember the name of but do now is Lab and Exotic Animal Medicine. I have to deal with mice, rats, and rabbits in that class. Not so bad except I'm allergic to mice and rats and I'm afraid of those things too... Not a problem in the world with rabbits though. I actually own one.

Yet I'd imagine it's somewhat exhilarating as a life is in your hands now. Though I'd imagine an instructor or a spotter will look out for you and monitor your progress so you don't mess up.

Yes, they aren't going to leave us unattended when all of this. That would be quite bad. Especially since most if not all of the students have no experience with those kinds of things. I think it is the main instructor of the course that deals with the anesthesia portion of the course which is the one that scares me most. That in a sense is a good thing because she is the most experienced one to my knowledge and as far as I know is the only true veterinarian. The rest are only technicians...
