10:06 AM Apollo:You can feel a large amount of magical energy flowing through the area, but you recognize it as water magic. So there are no illusions or anything like that, but you can't tell why such a high concentration of water magic is present when there is only one girl in the water. You wonder if the water itself is producing the magic. Sand-Claw:The girl flashes you another smile before beckoning again. You begin to wonder if she's mute. However, the water is nice and shiny and it looks quite warm in the morning light.

The massive amount of energy coming from the water piques my curiosity even more, causing me to walk towards the water and the girl almost against my will.

My eyes widen as Apollo just starts walking forward like there isn't the slightest possibility this girl will drag him in and drown him. I turn my attention toward the girl and shout, "HEY!" I summon and launch a half-dozen shuriken to fly between Apollo and the girl and hopefully snap him out of his daze.

Willow did not trust this girl, alone in the middle of the woods and happily welcoming strangers to join her, it just didn't fit. With this in mind Willow watched the girl closely but stayed a fair distance away just in case.

"Okay, I'm coming," I say to the girl, and enter the water near her.

I give Xiao a quick nod, more like a sign of solidarity and a demonstration that I'm actually taking some caution. I approach slowly, wnating to be closer in case I was needed to defend Sand an Apollo, but also as a display of friendship and trust in case she was a friendly entity. I keep mindful of seduction magics, though. Fortunately, I was pretty loyal to my girlfriend, so it might be a little more difficult to sway my mind, should it become a problem.

10:07 AM Apollo:You stop mid-step as Nyx's blades fly past you. Then you continue on! You reach the water quickly enough and can feel the magic's concentration point: somewhere below the surface. Nyx:You fail to faze Apollo beyond pausing mid-step to let your shuriken fly by. He reaches the lake's shore quickly enough and stops. The girl is looking at you warily. Willow:Lyriana slips her paw into your hand. "I have a bad feeling about this," she whispers. Sand-Claw:As you get closer to her, the lake's bottom gets lower and lower until you're swimming instead of wading. She smiles wider as you get closer. She is not showing the inside of her mouth, even her teeth. However, you can feel her pushing against the water to stay afloat. You notice that she is only producing one wave instead of two, suggesting that her legs may be tied together. Or she may only HAVE one leg...but as you get closer, her blond hair appears very shiny in the morning light. It's almost blinding. Layla:Xiao nods back and follows, but stays a little further back than you, not wanting to get near the water. Everyone:The girl beckons to you all again, silently urging you to come to her, out near the center of the lake.

"You are not alone with those thoughts little kitten" Willow said just loud enough for Lyriana to hear, she had finally decided on a nickname for her. "Should I perhaps freeze this portion of the lake?" her voice did not make it very easy to tell whether it was sarcasm or not. 'Well she is in water so unless this pretty face has some magical bite behind her I should have the upper hand, then again...I could just leave it to them, or let them die, decisions decisions' a smile spread across her face but she did not word her thoughts, only prepared her mind ready for manipulation magic, just in case.

Sorry Sand-Claw. I wouldn't do this if I didn't have faith in your natural armor. I run up, stick a knife in the water, and let a some electricty course through the water.

"Are you a mermaid? I've heard tales about them, but I never met one!" I say, and swim closer.

I kneel down by the side of the lake and stare at the water, analyzing all I can about it, such as it's physical properties or any other magical properties I can notice about it.

10:08 AM Willow:"Little kitten?" Lyriana repeats with a laugh. "I've been called a lot of things, but never a name used for a feline!" She clearly finds this nickname entertaining, and does not hear your question about freezing the lake. Nyx:{WIS 13: 4} {Damage d6: 3} {Sand-Claw DR: -2} {Sand-Claw damage: 1} {Girl damage: 3} {Apollo damage: 3} Sand-Claw is hardly fazed, and you wonder if she even felt so much as an itch. The girl, however, cries out in a loud, screeching voice that hurts your ears. Everyone:The girl's screeching scream hurts everyone's ears, especially the anthros and -mimi's. Sand-Claw is also VERY heavily effected due to proximity. Sand-Claw:She smiles again, but Nyx's electricity causes her to scream, which hurts your ears due to how close you are. You hardly feel a thing. Apollo:Before you can assess anything about it, Nyx's electricity courses through it and makes it hard to tell anything about it for sure.

"What the hell?" I shout louder then I wanted to because my ears are ringing from the scream. I look around to find who attacked.

"Are you a freaking idiot Sand-Claw?! Get out of there! A lot of mermaids tend to make a habit of luring people into the water and drowning them! Sorry for making your ears bleed, but that was the quickest way I could think of to grab your attention!" I yell loud enough for Sand-Claw to hear me over the ringing that's likely happening in her ears.

"I'm actually betting she's a water nymph. They don't tend to be harmful if you don't provoke them, but you have to keep your wits about you." I say, approaching a little further. "Not all supernatural creatures are evil after all."
