Sodain shook his head sighing. "I only do that illusionary spell to get people to stop bickering and listen. But if that don't work then....." Sodain snapped his fingers turning into a dragon with flaming wings and horns but the pose he takes is similar to a mark on the walls of the shadow clan halls and in a soft voice Spoke.

"Mara, Stop this Jin is entitled to opinions is he not? though he was wrong about one thing. I can not teach the shadow step to someone that fast, no one can teach it that fast. Though Silvia had the wrong focus child. You had to give her the proper mental challenge to stimulate her teaching. Which is one of my special gifts I can find out exactly how it is to give that focus to others. Just like how hard it is for you to not get mad over the simple statements. I see what is distracting someone and challenge them to overcome. But I bet you 13 lashings upon my back as hard as you see fit that you can not go without blowing up at your brother for 3 months." Sodain said in a calm soft voice in this dragon form looking softly not frighteningly at Mara.

Sodain thought then looked to Mara "yes it is I bet you can't go 3 months without losing your temper or beating up anyone." Then the dragon form flicked the wings and gave a daring glance as if daring her to prove him wrong before turning to smoke whisking away on the air but Sodain was no where to be found having walked off with Silvia it seemed.

Sodain smirked helping her to sit at a table and then went to the kitchen peeking in on the cook. If the cook was not there this time he would see about sneaking some cake samples for him and Silvia to celebrate her good work.

Sodain snuck in getting a small platter out and it held a sampler and it hovered behind him on the other side as he slowly backed out of the kitchen to show Silvia to have her pick her few slices of cake and hee to get his own before putting it back.

Sodain ducked the first lo skillfully moig but then when he lost the plates of cake spun around facing the cook not moving as the rolling pin hit on the top of Sodain's head giving a loud crack noise. The rolling pin broke but Sodain seemed to just stand there. Giving a blank look to the cook and hen said. "Hmm that itches. But who said it wasn't going to feed a bride? What if I met my destined bride to be and wanted to feed her that cake?" He said tilting his head curiously a thin red line welting up on top of Sodain's head slowly formed. "But further more who said I took that cake from the bridal cake? You had one halfway done when they changed something in the design that was not easy to fix. So you had to start the bottom half over." Sodain said pointing to the change request on the wall then blinked.

But then Sodain's welt looked oddly wood like just before his body rippled and turned into a standing log as the plates of cake the cook had taken vanished it was an illusion spell as was the welt. But then Sodain while sneaking still stepped on a potato chip giving his real location away took off running with the cake yet the change request on the cake was real wanting a female variation of minotaur holding a golden double axe ready to strike the human prince down as this female minotaur wore a wedding dress poised over the prince's bed but unable to bring the axe down. With emerald candy drops for her tears. This was what the cake change request read if the cook read it.

Sodain seen his when he got closer to Silvia moving and did his best to catch her as she collapsed. Checking her out the best he could before Sodain picked her up carrying her to a medical room and did what he could to help her after doctors and nurses treated her and left. "She just needs rest is all." He said sounding down as there was nothing really the doctors could do.

Sodain sat by her bed holding her hand softly. He refused to leave her side. Sodain was so worried he went a while without sleep until he gave in. He had replaced the cool damp cloth on Silvia's forehead often. Sodain slept his head on the edge of Silvia's bed here he remained there the whole time.

Sodain was fast asleep his head on the edge of the bed Silvia was in slightly drooling a little as a young female voice, similar to her mothers spoke softly. "Ah so your up now. You need to take it easy at times missy until you can control better the words of the shadows. Poor boy never left your side the doctors didn't seem to know what was wrong other then you needing rest. But you showed signs of shadow sickness. A common problem with those of our family. easy to treat if one knows how but even that illness is not vastly known outside of members of the shadow clan. Yet this boy kept working to get a treatment for it and changing your wash cloth as you did have a fever as well. If I didn't know better id say he has a crush on you." She said smirking to Silvia.

"Yeah he could just be a concerned friend. After all didn't I hear him say that there was no one who could match him with a sparing partner? But you can or may have a better chance to keep up with him as a sparing partner? I am sure what I see as a possible crush from him upon you is just that he is concerned with something happening to where you would end up not keeping up with him.

As for controlling the shadows if too many talk at once about too many things your mind has difficulty keeping up and can cause you to get sick the control is proving you are strong enough to command them into one voice talking at a speed you can understand and can take things in. Instead of being like 5 or more people whispering about 50 different things all in a few seconds." She said and Sodain stirred a little speaking. "More or less your mother means controlling how you hear it like filtering your ears to one conversation at a time in the room. Though you can hear multiple conversations around you at the same time just picking out one to listen to more then the others yet knowing what each separate conversation is about. Instead of hearing a bunch of mixed voices talking about different things making more noise then sense. And yes I am concerned you getting struck ill and losing your ability to keep up with me in a spar. As it is I feel I must hold back to a certain degree until you seem able to handle it all. But there are other clans then you and your family that can use select skills of the shadows. I too can use a few shadow skills. I can also hear a few words once in a while from shadows though I have not learned fully how to listen to them." Sodain said and got up feeling Silvia's forehead.

"You still got a bit of a fever but it is atleast lessened in severity.So you should be fine now but next time the shadows speak try picking one conversation at a time out from the mass babble of them. You might be able to then keep from falling ill." Sodain said returning with a bowl of cold water and a fresh rag to place on her forehead to help reduce her fever but then had her take some medicine he made up for the shadow illness. It would taste strong of oranges though had a bite to it if smelt that could sting the nose. Though was gentle on taste.

Silvia's mom however said while Sodain was gone. "Silvia though it is important in our line of work to cut ties to emotions. If you find that one who you can not keep the emotion of love bottled up it is fine. Love is the only emotion that is tolerated in our line of work, Because controlling and suppressing all other emotions yet letting love flow free you can surpass many who taught you how to use the powers of our bloodline.

Love can make you stronger if you let it. Though love has many forms like the love of sparring with a special someone that makes training more easy to manage and helps you learn is one of them. Never deny yourself love for it is more powerful then anger. And someone who lets anger rule their teachings ends up weaker than one who lets love empower their training. and if you happen to fall in love with Sodain over the years of sparring and having fun then you will become even stronger then the oldest of teachers. Look how strong I am for instance. It was only in the later years I let love blossom and strengthen my powers and abilities.

But that wasn't until I gave birth to you Silvia that I let love be a part of my training. If you love the sparring style your match has to offer let the love blossom. if it turns into a relationship so be it.Though the masters tried before teaching love to empower our teachings some took it the wrong way and turned into weak hippies. You must learn for yourself where love comes into play for yourself. After all it is how I met your father. Who turned out for the feelings I felt for him he was the best sparing partner I could have. So do not fear love if it forms." She said softly assuring Silvia

Sodain brought in a large tray with good smells of various foods. "I am not sure if your even hungry right now but I figured after being out for 3 days you might be and I didn't know what you like o I got an assortment of food. Even that cake I mentioned before your collapse its so good it's worth the wait. He said putting the tray near her bed helping her sit up and if needed would help feed her if she needed.
