. "Oh! By all means," Filous nodded with a grin, "As long as you help me reclaim my place at Her Ladyship's side, then you can do as you please," The little man was clearly excited, but would find other ways to occupy himself until Fire felt strong enough for them to set their plan into action.

~*~*~

"You understand, this serum will hopefully restore feeling in your arm...meaning it's going to hurt like a b***h when it starts taking effect..." he felt it only wise to inform the man what to prepare for, but would continue through Silver's pain until he was content that the full serum had been administered. "I think it started the same night you first called me about your condition, I was working on the first attempt of your serum and he phones up asking me to help me find a missing girl or something...he's always been one for the heroics after all, but he usually likes to deal with things like that himself...He knows what I want for my services."

He was curious when Silver mentioned 'Hunter' being a new member and a possible link between the two, "It certainly seems coincidental... I have myself noticed a change in Mr Marshall's whereabouts...Never would have thought he'd take up residence in the sewers of all places, but then again, his hideout was once a hole in the ground..." he tried to make light of that comment, but the look on Silver's face left him with the realisation that the situation was perhaps rather serious...

"...Maybe I should give him a call." Feeling a little uneasy, Creed set his equipment down and reached for his phone.

~*~*~

Brynjolf would stand like a puppy in trouble, his head was down and if he had a tail, it would be firmly placed between his legs, he wanted to plead his case, but knew better than to speak out of turn and so waited until Lord Wolf gave him the opportunity to defend himself...

"I never planned to stray further than the fence," he recalled the small wooden fence that lay just a few metres outside the gates, "I just wanted to give him a glimpse of the world outside...I didn't think it would be any trouble just to look..." He was quick to add that Tala had never actually approached the gate, knowing Lord Wolf would be greatly disappointed in him for breaking the rules set down for him... Had he the chance, Brynjolf would have commended the male for his decision, but after saying his piece, he fell silent...

"I honestly feel I've caused more harm than good..." Tala had been quiet up until now, but with the opportunity to speak up, he took it. "I certainly didn't help when Lobo began trying to convince Bryn he should rejoin the pack..." He explained how after seeing the man strike his comrade, claiming him to be weak, Tala had thrown the stone that had spurred the leader to turn his anger towards him instead... "He'd originally challenged me to a fight, but when I'd run, he turned his frustration onto Bryn and..." he fell silent when he heard the knock on the door, then all eyes turned towards Crystal as she entered, hoping to defend them both.

It was a relief when Lord Wolf said he was just going to give them a warning and place them under supervision, the punishment could have been a lot worse... Being part of Lobo's pack, he'd feared the worst...

"Alpha, I must ask..." Bryn raised a hand in request to speak, "But what is going to happen to my pack?" They were no doubt still prowling outside the city walls, cursing the pair for their actions... He would understand if Lord Wolf chose to Exile them to the wilds, but the thought that he'd run with them since he'd come to the city, that they'd taken him in and shown him how to hunt...then turned on him in such a way when he'd accepted a new role... It made him question his worth to them, whether they actually needed him for his abilities, or if he was just the Omega to their little pack, to summon for whatever means when needed...

Fire nodded. "I'll let you know once I feel ready." She said softly and relaxed back, closing her eyes to make it look like she was sleeping but she was fully awake and listening to things around her. She wouldn't be ready and fully up to par to do the plan until later into the night.

~*~*~*~*~

Silver chucked at the info. "Good thing I still have some of those pain pills left to help if needed." His face fell when Silver heard Creed say the location and his mind began putting the previous events together. Once Creed was done and he mentioned calling, Silver nodded. "Please do. I'm feeling, and fearing, this isn't all just one big coincidence. Y're safe to call him here as I'm curious as well."

~*~*~*~*~

Lord Wolf listened and went up, putting a hand on Tala's head. "You are not a harm to the pack. You are weeding out the thorns that cause the roses to wither. I'm glad for your deeds and I like how you are the type to act to protect a pack member. That takes a lot of gull and shows me more I'm not wrong in my choice for the future."

He removed his hand and looked to Bryn, listening and thought for some moments. "Sadly, I will need to exile them from the castle and our main pack inside these castle walls. He and they could turn on you or another and I don't want anyone murered because they cannot control their jealousy." He sadly explained and put a hand on Bryn's shoulder. "I don't know if they were just using you or saw you as a true member but, I can say one thing."

Lord Wolf turned to face Tala with a soft smile as he looked to Bryn. "You have a new pack inside our large pack that appreciates you and accepts you." He said and Crystal smiled a little at hearing this, nodding.

"Yup, I've never seen Tala so lively and happy before you began working along side him." Crystal said gently.

Lord Wolf nodded. "You have a small pack with Tala and Crystal and likely some other Omegas, but I'm betting they truly want you a part of their pack instead of wondering if there's any hidden motives."

"Huh?" Crystal looked up stunned. "Me? Part of an inner pack?"

"Do you think Tala wouldn't want you part of his inner pack?" he raised an eyebrow curiously.

Crystal looked to Tala for his answer. If he nodded or agreed then she would smile wide, over joyed to hear that. If he was unsure then she'd try to contain her confusion but put on a nice smile to keep things pleasant to hide any disappointment she may be feeling.

Lord Wolf would smile if Tala agreed. "See?" he said glad. If he was unsure then he would try to understand why Tala was confused and/or unsure. He would look to Bryn. "Do you think you could accept them and become close as a pack with this new one? You three are good at standing up for Omega's and those being treated unfairly so you three do have similar actions and beliefs." He chuckled softly.

Lord Wolf looked to Gloria. "Can you send word Lobo and the others in that pack are exiled from the castle walls and must either remain in the city or be in the wilds, it is their choice but they are forbidden from being inside the castle walls."

Gloria nodded giving a bow. "Of course, I'll be back later after I've done that." She then left to deliver the information to the right people about Lobo and the group, excluding Bryn who had been already transfered to different work and out of that pack.

Dialing Cyrus's number, Creed would put the phone on loud speaker so they could both hear what was said, of course, it was rather late in the evening, but it just happened to coincide with one of the Hunter's excursions... Infact, he was about to try and dial the scientist when his phone had started to ring... "Finally decided to call back?" His voice was unamused, but grateful for the call, "Have you found anything that can help?" he truly sounded concerned, knowing Leaf had been almost close to panic ever since he learned that Fire had gone...

"Actually," Creed started to speak, but would fall silent if Silver decided to take over the conversation...

~*~*~

Brynjolf respected his Alpha's decision to exile Lobo and the rest of the pack, but he couldn't help but feel that the squad wouldn't like the outcome... He did however smile at the fact they had been deemed a pack, within the pack and he turned to look at Tala who nodded in agreement to the question as to whether or not he considered Crystal a member,

"You helped me from the start," the male nodded, glancing towards Bryn now who had also agreed, yet kept his eyes averted, still feeling bad for the outcome of those he'd considered his original pack members,

"I've got your back," Bryn nodded, knowing it was better to live for the future than dwell on the past. He just hoped Lobo would be able to move on without pursuing further issue...

~*~*~

Outside the walls, the pack as returned to their human forms, some sitting around by the fence whilst others sparred between themselves a short distance away. Lobo proceeded to pace the area between the gates, grumbling to himself aloud, clearly still rather agitated by what had happened.

He would lift his head as a familiar face appeared somewhere over the top of the wall, depending where she stood, Gloria would obviously be well out of reach for her own safety, but as she delivered her message, the man would grow more angry before crushing part of the fence in his frustration and shouting a warning loudly in her direction.

"Lord Wolf has no idea the severity of his decision!" he snarled, pointing up at Gloria as he spoke, "To willing extend his protection to an Outsider is one thing, but to cast out those who were once his Loyal Protectors in spite of his own involvement! You have weakened your arsenal! Alpha!" His pack gathered around him now, all showing disgust at being exiled. "You had better watch your backs! Because we will not hesitate to return and drag that Whelp kicking and screaming through the streets before making an example of him!" It was clear his decision was not to linger where they were not wanted, but that didn't mean they wouldn't return...with vengeance.

With a howl, Lobo would turn his pack around and they would stalk from the city perimeters, how far they would stray was not yet decided, but they could be sure Lobo would hold to his word.

Silver listened and watched the phone before speaking up when given the opportunity. "Hunter, this is Silver, tell us what you need help with? What's going on? I haven't been able to get a hold of Leaf and when I do he just says all's fine and hangs up. So tell us what's going on and what you need help with." He paused then spoke his next words with worry for what he might hear back. "How's Fire doing?"

~*~*~*~*~

In Dangu, Fire stayed still and would later that evening open her eyes. "Do you have a plan to get us out or am I to take down the guards as they come by? Or would you prefer stealth?" she asked softly. She then got a small grin on her face. "Also, if you know where they put my weapons...I can give them a real good...shock." She suppressed a chuckle at the thought of using her daggers on them.

She shifted her eyes to the muzzle then to Filous again. "And if I can get my pistol then I can really unleash some fire and ice. So long as they didn't take and toss my special bullets designed for my magic." She huffed softly at the thought the guards would or might do that. "And if we strike at night, they'll be less on guard due to their bodies wanting sleep."

She commented with a small glint in her eye, a sign she loved the thrill and rush that came from a fight or situation where one had to move fast or be careful or harm would happen. "I assume you would be wanting stealth though until we know we are good, yes or no?" she asked then would go quiet to hear his ideas if he cared to share them.

~*~*~*~*~

Trumpet would head out and start to head out to try and get into the castle. He was tired of waiting and wanted to get inside to do his job to get to Fire. He tried to get in but after several minutes of scuffling with the guards, he gave up and backed off, moving away from the castle while grumbling. He shoved his hands into his pockets roughly.

He complained under his breath and would go get his bike and take off for a ride to think over his future actions for another shot at getting inside if he could.

~*~*~*~*~

Gloria stayed out of reach and listened, frowning at the group. "You turned your backs on the pack. It was not Lord Wolf's choice that made you turn. You turned yourself away from your brotheren." She pointed down to Lobo. "You laid in wait and ambushed the pair just because Lord Wolf had reassigned Delta Bryn. You were too controlling and sealed your own fates when you decided to attack one of your inner pack and one outside your inner pack."

She watched them closely with her ears folded back. "You dare enter and it will be an action you will deeply regret, I promise you that to my last breath. I will remain forever loyal to Lord Wolf and to the pack inside the castle as well as outside of it, excluding your inner pack and you. I will never be loyal to you or your others who follow you blindly. You are not worthy of being in any position of an Alpha."

Gloria stood tall and shifted one foot back. "Now, stay or go, you are welcome to remain in the city but that is all you may be in aside from out in the wilds. You have your choices and if you stir up trouble in the city then you will be dealt with appropriately by the authorities. Also, to touch Delta Tala is to seal your fate to death. Be warned by those words Lobo, and control your temper. It may lead you down the path of darkness to Trolon."

She took her leave, running back and vanishing from sight after she was done, not giving him time to retaliate to her words again. She didn't want to hear it and wanted to warn Lord Wolf that Lobo might be a problem and might try to come after Tala and Bryn at some point should he find the way to.

~*~*~

Later when Gloria would return she would inform Lord Wolf about what Lobo had said and her fears for what may come in the future. Lord Wolf frowned, not liking this one bit and sighed, ordering Bryn to work on training Tala to be prepared for how Lobo and the others fight. He told Gloria that, if Bryn requested it, to have a closed off space set up so they could better train without harming others around them.

He didn't like this uncertainty going on around him in his citadel yet he knew he had to try and make sure Tala would be ready for anything, if that was possible. He hoped things would have gone better but, beggers couldn't be choosers after all.

Gloria nodded and left to tell Bryn and Tala the new plan to fit in more combat training. She added in her own thing, requesting Crystal to be near when they spar so she can tend to any injuries they, primarily Tala, might get during the training.

When asked about who would do the early chores to ready things for the other Omega's, Gloria would tell her she could still do that and that Tala worked the forge in the early mornings. Crystal would think then nod, agreeing to help be a medic for when the males would spar.

Gloria would accompany as a watch along with two others in her group to help protect Tala and Bryn from a distance and the shadows when they would go to the forge from now on, also because of the supervision order but also because of Lobo's threat. She knew Lobo would back it up but when was the key unknown and it was an important key to know.

Creed shot Silver a look when he spoke directly yo Cyrus as 'Hunter' - this filled in several blanks for him, but also opened several new worm-cans... He listened as Cyrus seemed to fall silent, knowing he was listening to Silver before perhaps panicking as to how he was going to relay the need for help without actually naming Fire as the one in trouble...

"It's...erm..." This wasn't good - He'd had no idea Creed had gone to visit the Owl... If he'd delayed his call like he'd planned, this might not have happened... What made things worse was when Silver asked how Fire was... "She's..."

"Spit it out!" Growing frustrated with the man's hesitation, Creed gave a snarl, knowing sometimes this helped the situation...

"Leaf...has been busy," he considered hanging up, but that would only lead to more suspicion from the others... "Damnit Creed! Why couldn't you have been somewhere else?!" with her life at stake, it was foolish to try and maintain the facade that everything was alright, "Fire is gone. They didn't want to tell Silver because they didn't want him to get more sick with worry..." an Honest man at heart, it hurt Cyrus a little every time he had to lie to someone, especially when people were in danger... "Leaf has tracked her to Dangu and we already have a man on the ground to keep an eye on her...but we had hoped you might have been able to use your charm to slip in and help bring her out..." Having been standing on the edge of the street, Cyrus exhaled a sigh and leant back against the wall, his free hand clasped across his face, disappointed with himself for having kept things out of the loop in the first place, "I'm only sorry I hadn't told you sooner..."

"I guess I should have actually heard you out..." Creed muttered to himself lifting his eyes to gauge Silver's reaction, "Look, I'll do what I can, but I cannot work miracles - even you know that, Marshall." there had been people Skylar had been unable to save in the past and it hurt more when it had been someone he'd cared for... Recognising the name of Fire, even though they had very great differences in opinion, he still held something of a care for her - she had been under his supervision after all...

~*~*~

"Well, I was thinking I draw their attention, get them close enough to steal their key, then when I get out, I set you free and you do your thing," he wasn't sure how long Fire could use her abilities for, so he wanted to try and conserve her magic for as long as he could, "But you're right...we need to be stealthy especially if you want to get your weapons. They usually leave things like that in the armoury, so that would be the first place I'd go," he was unaware that Tigress had actually decided to put the weapons under heavy guard, yet on show for all to see, so if they chose the stealth approach, they might just be a little disappointed when they reached the armoury... "So doing this at night might also be the best idea." If he did indeed manage to steal a key, it wouldn't take the guards long to notice or come searching for them...so they would need to be quick if they chose that option... "Any suggestions?" It was all fine for him to plan things out for himself, but without thinking of the other person involved and working the plan to keep them happy too could cause it to collapse...

~*~*~

Lobo would choose to lead his pack away for the time being. There was clearly no point reasoning with the female, or Lord Wolf. Sure, they'd done wrong, but the boy had brought the chase upon himself. Nobody throws rocks at the Pack and gets away without a beating. It was Tala's fault that everything had been thrown out of order in the first place.

If their paths did cross with Trumpet's, it would be at a bar on the outskirts of the perimeter separating the citadel from the Wilds... This point was like the last stop before they were alone in the Outlands and the pack would frequent this location often before and after they had been out for a hunt.

Ordering the usual rounds, Lobo would take his seat with the pack in their favourite spot to drink and mull over their future. Sure, they were still a pack and hunting was good, but with no home base, it was clear they would have to move on... Unless they took over Omega for themselves.

"You're already the alpha of our group, Boss." The red-haired male raised his flagon to his leader, "What's one more step to take the throne?" the rest of the group muttered amongst themselves, but seemed to agree.

"Don't let the barkeep hear you say that." Lobo cast a glance towards the man polishing the glasses on the bar, "Just cuz we're out here don't mean word won't pass." he knew cheap drinks did little to loosen tongues, but if someone paid the right price, the staff would sing like canaries... "But it ain't a bad idea. The Alpha is getting past his prime and if I have any idea, I'm certain he's trying to pass his rule onto that Outsider...and I ain't happy about that."

"We could always rush the place, nobody got in our way last time." a younger member spoke up, but received a slap across the back of the head for his audacity.

"Idiot, you heard Gloria." the one who had struck him snarled, "If we so much as sneeze at someone, we're out on our asses."

"Maybe we go back, but lie low for a while, let them get used to us, then strike down anyone who refuses to take our side." another chimed in, but it was clear they were only grasping at ideas...

Lobo breathed a disgruntled sigh, turning his gaze towards the regulars as they came and went - His favourite seat allowed him to see all who entered and scrutinise them whilst remaining unseen.

Silver's face fell and lost color when he heard about Fire and where she was. He moved back and sat down as he put his head into his hands. "No, no, no. This can't be happening. This just can't." He groaned quietly with deep worry while trying to keep his breathing even and level so not to hyperventilate or anything.

He couldn't believe this. This was bad and he knew it and he wasn't sure how long Fire could last in that place with Lady Tigress. He was trembling some and trying to think of a way to get Fire out of there. He looked slowly to Creed after a few silent moments that felt more like minutes. "What do we do? Do you really think you can get her out?" he asked quietly, a clear sounding of his fear for her ability to last long in Dangu.

~*~*~*~*~

Fire listened closely to his plan and nodded gently. "I think that sounds like a plan. If you can get a key and get out quickly then get me out as quickly then I could freeze my chains and we run. We would need to find a way out that isn't the front, unless that's the only way, then we'd need to see if I can freeze the main locks on the doors." She said softly while thinking.

"I could do that then try and refrain from using my magic further unless needed. I do have limits, more so when I don't have my guns to channel into. It takes more than one would think to breath them. So I'd prefer stealth to save on my magic use for if we really need it." She went quiet then continued. "Especially if Lady Tigress gets involved. Lord Dragon's magic was strong so I can only imagine how strong hers is, especially since she wouldn't be off guard but on guard...unlike him who I got off guard."

She went quiet as she thought further. "If we can limit my magic use to only as needed until I'm out with my stuff, I think I'll be able to get you what you want, maybe. If Tigress is protective of the one you call a witch then I don't see how it'll be easy for me to freeze her or anything like that but I'll try." She had her own thoughts about keeping herself safe, possibly even using him if she had to in order to keep herself from being imprisoned again.

"We can try tonight, just give me the signal and let me know if you want me to use my ice on the main locks after on my own. If we can do that and knock out the guards at the door, we should be able to exit the dungeon area. Then I'll follow you to the armory to retrieve my weapons. I'll try to help you with your goal after that if I can but...I might run if things get hairy to keep my freedom. If I end up doing that, I'm sorry. I doubt they'd allow me another chance to escape if I got recaptured and I doubt you'd be able to help me a second time without risking yourself to be put under the microscope."

~*~*~*~*~

On Omega's side, Trumpet rode and decided to park and get a drink, feeling annoyed and not able to come up with a good plan of attack to get inside. He entered, went to the bar and signaled for the barkeep. "One drink, light on the booze." He said, ordering one of the drinks listed and nodded his thanks once it was brought and poured. He took a sip and sighed, lowering his head. "I can't get in the front and the back looked too well guarded as well."

He took a frustrated breath then another drink. "I can't believe I'm not even going to be able to get to even see her after all I went thought. It's no fair." He growled with a light punch into the bar counter. The barkeep looked over to him and frowned. "Um...sorry." The keep rolled his eyes and went back to work, focusing on what few customers were there and keeping things clean and ready for use.

Trumpet looked at his drink, turning it to the left and right before sipping on it again as he thought. His ears twitched at the sound of talk from a group he'd noticed when he came in and blinked. Throne? Trumpet thought curiously and carefully scooted a seat closer to hear better. He took another sip of his drink as he listened, trying to look as if he wasn't listening into their conversation.

He lowered his eyes as he listened and heard the name Gloria. Hmm...I wonder who that is. Probably some kind of personal guard for Lord Wolf and Tala. He thought while taking another sip. He glanced over to the small group, debating on speaking up as he worked on his drink.

Once almost half his drink was gone, Trumpet would speak up. "Excuse me but I couldn't help but overhear. You mentioned a throne and what sounded like a woman's name. Could you fill me in if you speak of the Owl in charge of Omega and who the female is?"

One of the pack members looked to Trumpet, frowning and narrowing his eyes through strains of blond hair that looked almost green in tone. "Who's asking?"

"Just a traveler who tried to gain an...audience with his Owlship but was denied entry. I'm new to this part of Aphelia and I would like to know how one gets an audience with him and maybe his ward if he has one." Trumpet said casually as he could, looking to his drink as he turned it some then took a sip. "Plus you sound annoyed so I was curious what's going on here in this citadel. I've heard there's rumors of chaos spreading and that perked my curiosity."

"I make no promises," Creed patted the man on the shoulder, knowing how much of a strain this news was, "But I will certainly try my best."

Meanwhile in Dangu, the pair were still conversing over their plans of escape, with Filous more than confident that he had a plan to get them at least to the armoury without being seen. "Tonight is good." he nodded, "Once I have the key, we will head over there," he pointed to a cell in the corner - now although it seemed as though they were only trapping themselves more, in fact, Filous knew of a secret tunnel that led from that very cell, "I unlock the door and we descend down into the tunnels, you will have to stick close though as it is like a warren for rabbits down there," he couldn't believe how he'd forgotten such a route in so long... "You shouldn't need to use your magic down there, well...except for lighting a torch or two, but it will allow us to slip past all the guards unseen!" he was excited, "Then when we get to the armory, I will let you take the lead." Being a fashionista, Filous wasn't one for weaponry, so he was happy to let Fire take over when they reached that point in their plan.

~*~*~

"Well, if you can turn into a wolf, you can just waltz right in." One of the men laughed loudly, "Damn kid just shows up out of nowhere and the Alpha gave him a job, just like that!"

"Wouldn't believe it had I not seen it...Who does he think he is?" another man gave a growl, "Maybe you forgot to say pretty please when you asked?" he poked Trumpet in the side before joining his comrades in a laugh,

"Imbeciles..." Lobo growled, sitting up. "Lord Wolf ain't just gonna let any outsider walk in and demand an audience, not after the stunt we pulled. He's gonna be on his guard."

"So how do you suppose we do it?" another sat up from his slumped position on the floor, "We ain't gonna go whimpering back with our tails between our legs! And I sure as heck ain't begging!"

"We may have to..." Lobo didn't like the idea, but had to admit, they'd gone too far, "We were well respected and an asset when it came to hunting, and I highly doubt the Alpha would have rallied a team as good as ours to take our place so soon, so if he wants his prime meat...We have to make the first move."

"But why should we hafta beg him to take us back?" the one who had laughed first now spoke up, slightly confused as to what his alpha was saying, "Shouldn't he be begging us?"

"He should, but he won't." Lobo shook his head, "He needs us, but as we were the ones in the wrong, we'll need to work to get our position back...Which is why I propose we go for a hunt." he looked towards Trumpet as he said this, "If you're that desperate to get in, there is always the option to be smuggled in...if you're willing to do it?" His idea was to gut a large beast before offering it as an apology to the Alpha "Once Lord Wolf sees he needs us to provide, we'll have our ticket in...as will you."

If Trumpet should explain why he wanted to get to Tala, Lobo would listen, nodding, before stating that the Outsider was a thorn in his hide and needed to be removed before Lord Wolf lifted his rank any higher... "Took away one of my best trackers." he growled, "And will take away my right to become the next Alpha when the Old Dog kicks it." There was a moment of contemplation, the Lobo spoke again, "I dare say, if we get in and the plan goes to pot, we can always take hostages...or lives." he drew his lips back in a wolfish grin as he said this and the rest of the pack seemed to like the idea as well... "All agreed then?" Lobo downed the rest of his drink and rose to his feet, "Let's go bag us a beauty."

The pack would rise from their seats, following their alpha from the bar, they wouldn't say anything if Trumpet chose to follow, but he would be advised to lie low when they started the hunt.
~*~*~

Tala and Brynjolf would return to their jobs at Gunnar's Forge after a few days spent doing chores inside... It was an acceptable punishment for what had happened and they both deemed themselves lucky that they got away with that.

The citizens seemed to like having the young male back at the forge and the orders even increased for a while after they'd learnt he'd returned, but eventually things slipped back into their normal pace and soon Tala and Bryn found themselves with time to spare...

Brynjolf would spend this time maintaining their training sessions, he wanted to ensure Tala was more than prepared should they ever come into conflict... He admired that the male had a few skills of his own, but wanted to be sure he was ready for anything and so, rather than tempting the fate by heading for the gates, they would spend their sessions inside the castle, learning hunting techniques and sharing tracking skills before inevitably entertaining themselves with a few sparring sessions before retiring to bed for the night.

Silver nodded. "Thank you." He said as he looked up to his friend. "Let me know if you can get to her and get her out at all. Do anything you need to in order to get to her. Just bring her back alive if you can." He said gently not caring what Creed might need to say about Fire in order to get to her. "Will you need any information on her to make your getting to her easier?"

If Creed said yes then Silver would tell him about her real name being Viola, her parents being magic users of one being able to use fire and the other ice. He would also tell him about her having previously been with the shader leader Lysin who has been missing for some time and about her being sure he was still alive somewhere.

He would also tell Creed about her back that was injured and still scared by Lord Dragon and how at times it can get sore, depending on how much she pushed herself to do. He had heard Leaf inform him that Fire tries to ignore it and at times had complained but not often.

~*~*~*~*~

Fire would listen and nod. "Tonight we will do this and I'll stay close to you. Once I get my weapons, direct me to the throne room if you want me to still go after the girl but if things get hairy, I will run out the nearest window if I can." She figured after saying that, that might not be wise but she'd rather risk an injured body part to getting captured and rejailed again. "I wasn't exactly with it when they brought me down here so I don't know the layout of the castle like you do."

~*~*~*~*~

Trumpet finished his drink, listening and nodded. "I'm willing to do that if it gets me inside. I can handle some guts. So long as it gets me inside so I can get Tala and take him with me to get my friend back."

He would get up and follow them once they would get up and leave. He nodded and would stay back once outside and when they would begin the hunt. He felt confident about this plan. Was it low? Perhaps but if it got him inside he didn't care. He just wanted to get Fire back and felt sure if Tigress got Tala that she would let Fire go, not even considering she might refuse to let Fire go if he was successful.

~*~*~*~*~

In Sisten, Lysin prepared himself and sighed. "I'm going to go and hunt for Trumpet. My phone shows he messaged from some ways away between Dangu and Omega so I'm going to go search for him."

"What?!" Flute stood up fast as did Bass. "You can't be serious! You are well known as a shader leader! You're bound to get seen and arrested!"

"You can't just go out there and hunt for him. Let us go and look for him. We aren't known as part of any shader groups so we can easily move around the citadels if need be." Bass said quickly.

Lysin shook his head. "This is my fault. I let Trumpet continue to think Fire was alive somewhere and he's probably doing something stupid. Besides, he had been acting funny for the past several days or longer and I'm worried he found her. If he did then I bet his plan to have her rejoin us failed somehow." He sighed softly. "I'm afraid to know what he did and what deals he made on the side but I should find him, besides, I'm old so I was gonna need to hand over control sooner or later."

Bass blinked and neared Lysin. "Master, what are you saying? You aren't that old."

"I'm an old man in my rough 60's so you think I can really keep up with you all if a fight comes?" He looked to Bass and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm handing control over to you Bass. Keep everyone safe and continue our monitoring of the Owls as we try to find a weakness so we can bring Aphelia back to how it used to be before they came."

Bass looked shocked and touched Lysin's hand, nodding. "I promise, I will not let you down. Stay safe and don't get yourself captured on purpose, okay?"

Lysin nodded. "If they do capture me then it'll be my corpse because I won't give them the joy of having me alive."

Flute came up and hugged him as did Clarinet and Piccolo. "Please be safe and come back." Clarinet requested.

"I'll do my best but you all be safe too and if Trumpet comes back, give him a good lecture for me if I'm not back before he might return." Lysin instructed and they nodded. Lysin put his hood up and headed out, going on foot as he commonly did so to be easily overlooked by most.

~*~*~*~*~

Gloria kept an eye on Bryn and Tala and Crystal stayed nearby when they spared to work as a quick doctor if needed. She was impressed by how much Tala was learning and astonished to see their fighting skill in their sparing.

Lord Wolf was also glad for how well Tala was doing and was happy those loyal and working for them had better weapons. He was impress still by the skill Tala displayed when sparing with Bryn and pleased with Bryn showing and teaching the youth new moves to help add to his abilities.

When night came Gloria did a final search around before returning to Lord Wolf and reporting all was fine. He nodded and dismissed her to continue her duty. She nodded and left the room.

Crystal would walk with Tala to Lord Wolf's room, chatting about how exciting it was to watch them train and how she hadn't seen someone fight the way they do. She even admitted she had at times thought about what it might be like to be able to fight and defend herself when needed instead of relying on others to fight and defend her.

When they got to Lord Wolf's door she would smile and hold back from giving him a hug, knowing he liked his space and wasn't much for being touched. "I'll see you in the morning. Have a goodnight and sweet dreams." She said kindly, biting her lip and just went for it. She moved quickly, gave a very brief hug and let go so not to cause him too much discomfort. She blushed and gave a small bow. "Sorry, I just felt I had to give you a hug. I hope it wasn't too horrible."

She rubbed the back of her head as she stood upright and bowed once more. "See you in the morning." She would take her leave to head back to her room for the night after he'd respond if he did.

When Tala would enter Lord Wolf would be coming out of the bathroom, having washed up and was ready for bed. He would nod his head towards Tala. "Good evening, Gloria has told me you are doing well in your training and at the forge. I'm glad and I hope you don't mind but, I've been looking at you to be the next Alpha should you have enough training first to be able to handle all that would be to possibly come."

He hoped this wasn't being pushy and would listen if Tala responded. "I can see you being fair but strong in leading the pack and I think are more than worthy. I don't see it happening anytime soon but I thought I'd let you know. Gloria has the letter I made naming you as the next Alpha should anything unforeseen happen when we aren't expecting it."

Lord Wolf would yawn and stretch as he made his way to bed. If Tala wanted to talk more about it he would stay up so they could converse.

If Tala was fine and want to sleep then he too would lay down and go to bed for the night.

Creed would take all the information he could get, hearing Silver out before packing up his equipment and preparing to leave. Had the situation not been so serious, he might just have decided to leave a little surprise for the staff to find later on, but with a life at stake, he left this decision for a future opportunity should the chance arise.

Filous would wait until Fire was ready that evening before putting their plan into action. He would start by shouting, beating upon the bars and verbally criticising the guards and their duties before setting his mind to making a general nuisance of himself.
He felt he'd achieved the task when the guards walked sternly up towards the door of his cell, but the reaction was less than a positive one. The men, tired of his cruel words would rush the door, cornering the little man before beating him senseless... They would continue striking him until he ceased to struggle, then they would leave the cell, casting a glare towards Fire before locking the door...

It would seem that their plan to escape had failed devastatingly...that was until Filous exhaled a breath, letting out a groan as he rolled over from where he'd fallen, his eyes searching for Viola before a small, weakened smile spread across his lips, "T-they think I'm out..." he chuckled, holding up the set of keys which he had swiped from the second guard, "But I am too...s-sneaky." he sat up, wiping the blood from his brow before using the wall as an aid to stand.

Shakily, he would make his way across the cell towards Fire,"Get yourself out first...I think I need a minute..." He would pass the keys through the bars before slumping down against them.

Hearing that Trumpet was going to such lengths to get an old friend back was deemed to be a noble act to Lobo and so he remained more than content to allow the man along - as long as he kept out of the way. As long as he became Alpha, then he couldn't care less about Tigress's pet, although he'd certainly like to teach the Whelp a lesson.

The pack would head out into the Outlands, tracking a herd of Aurok that had been grazing close to the city walls... It wasn't all that hard to find them, but when they did, Lobo ensured that Trumpet was well out of harm's way.

Standing on the outskirts of the flat-land, Lobo ordered his pack to split up, keeping low before singling out an Aurok Calf that was a little too rambunctious, chasing its herd-mates around whilst mock-charging the elders...

With subtle commands, the pack took their places, the first - a young male intended to set the herd running, would begin to transform, letting out a roar which would lift the heads of the Aurok and set them off at a steady...
Well spaced, the pack would watch from their hiding places as the beasts thundered by, transforming as they came close before turning the animals around in a wide circle.

With the herd on the run, it was easy to pick out the weaker members, but Lobo still had his sights on the calf... It ran alongside it's mother and as the pack gave chase, the young Aurok was corralled closer to the centre of the herd - protecting it and the other young that were struggling to keep pace with their elders.

Following several more scares for the mighty beasts, eventually, a straggler wound loose from the group, trying hard to keep pace with the rest, but falling behind.

A young pack member saw this as a chance and made a swipe at the cow, but was quickly scolded with a snarl as Lobo returned its gaze to the main target. "Stick to the plan!"
Nodding, the younger male dropped behind, allowing his alpha to charge on ahead as the rest flanked the herd closely.

With the beasts now tiring, the pack would begin to gain ground before eventually, with another well placed ally, the herd would thunder to a stop. The Werewolves circled the group which now stood with their backs to one another, the calves in the centre behind their thick, protective hides.

Built like Bison, it was well known that the Aurok would pack a punch if they were able to land a strike to the unwary assailant. The pack would circle the group, lunging and retreating as though testing the waters, before one of the larger members gripped hold of a hock, dragging one of the younger beasts backwards from the safety of the herd... This of course angered the creatures who seemed to amass in bulk towards the Werewolf until he let go, allowing the calf to return inside the protective circle...

"Enough messing around!" Lobo rose up, spreading his arms and letting out a snarl that would rattle the bones of anyone within close range... He led the charge, his intention to split the herd and head straight for the kill. The Aurok, although protective of their young, were also self preservative and with widening eyes, those closest would separate away from the block as the alpha charged in, grasping hold of the male calf he'd seen earlier and driving in with his fangs...

Knowing such a rash move would bring the herd round to defend, the rest of the pack moved in, scattering the remainder of the group before standing guard as Lobo delivered a swift kill.

It was like a bloodbath... The alpha would slit the beast, claiming its liver as his prize before granting the others a chance at the prey... The pack would gather round, taking what they would, yet leaving the main bulk of the carcass intact - it was important that they had an almost complete beast to bring back to Lord Wolf...

Only once they were content, did Lobo pick up the dead calf, carrying it upon his shoulder before leading the pack towards where they hoped to find Trumpet.

"Get in." They had made sure to leave the folds of skin so the male could be hidden well, there were few others that would know the true weight of the carcass and so wouldn't question if they had to carry the extra bulk... "We will carry you back, but you must remain silent to maintain the illusion that you are not there." he would dump the carcass on the ground and wait for the man to climb in, leaving it in the capable hands of the pack before leading the way back towards the citadel,

~*~*~

Having spent the day quite busy, Tala would listen more than talk during their walk towards Lord Wolf's chambers, in the moments that he did speak however, he would suggest to Crystal, "Why not just ask?" he was almost certain there would be someone else with the knowledge that wouldn't mind helping her learn, unfortunately, Bryn had already been allocated as Tala's guardian and sparring partner, but there had to be others somewhere willing to take on a charge?

Tala was shocked with the hug, but didn't fight it, shrugging and stating that although unprepared, he hadn't minded too much, with her being an ally, it didn't feel as invading as it might have been had they met on the street, surrounded by others...but it was still a little strange and he would wait until she had gone before brushing away the sensation so he wouldn't upset her.

He would acknowledge Lord Wolf when he entered the room, yet avert his eyes respectfully before transforming - he hadn't been overly concerned for walking back with Crystal in his human form this night, that or he'd been too tired to remember he perhaps needed to be subtle still?

Tala didn't want to seem ungrateful for offer to become Alpha, but as an Outsider, he didn't feel like it was exactly his right to do so... He would question whether or not Lord Wolf had any immediate family that could take on the role, or perhaps an heir that deserved the throne more than he, but at the same time, he was flattered that the Owl would consider him for such a title.

"I still have a lot to learn," Tala replied modestly, "And at least another rank to climb, but I am honoured by your offer and depending on the circumstances and if I have earnt the title, then I might just accept..." he nodded, grateful for the opportunity, yet still more than a little reserved at the thought...

Still free spirit, held a yearning for the freedom of the Outlands - he was still quite young too, but if he was ever left with the decision to stay as Omega's Alpha, or leave and seek his life's great adventure, what would happen to the the others? Bryn, Gloria, Crystal?

He had a feeling that Brynjolf would choose to leave - if the chance was given - sticking by Tala's side as a guide and an ally, Gloria would no doubt remain in the city, with her sense of duty and control over the guards and lower ranks...was she Alpha Material? She was definitely Beta... He would curl up on the cushions as he thought about Crystal, she was fun, yet quiet, she was getting better and stronger though, he enjoyed listening to her stories as to how she and the the other Omega Ranked workers were starting to become more confident around the Deltas, standing up for themselves... Had that all been because of him?

Thoroughly exhausted from his day, it wouldn't take Tala long to drift off to sleep, he would remain conscious to listen to anything else Lord Wolf might have to say, but on the cushions which gradually warmed with the heat of his furry body, he would soon find himself falling into a deep sleep.

Fire stayed still as he put his plan into action. She acted as if she was sleeping while she listened to the guards come and beat him up. Once they had left and she heard Filous speak, she opened her eyes and looked to him, wincing at the sight. They had really done a number on him.

When he handed her the keys and gave the instructions, she took them and nodded. "I'll help you walk and you are more durable than you look to be moving still after that." She whispered as she got her restraints unlocked, the muzzle fully off and got her cell unlocked. She moved over to his door and unlocked it as well.

She went inside and got his shackles off as she'd seen him do before then helped him up as she moved to the cell he had pointed out earlier on during their planning. "Do you think you can stay conscious enough for us to get through the tunnels?" she whispered as she kept hold of him if needed to help him stay up and moving.

Fire would have let him stay there to rest if they had a minute to spare but didn't think it'd take long for them to not notice a set of keys were missing. She got to the cell and looked around it before addressing him to ask where the switch was. If told how to open the hidden door she would do as told and head down with him, looking back as the door closed, ending the sound of coming guards just in time.

She sighed softly while moving and when needed, using her fire to light torches. "Let's hope we can get to the armory easier than possibly it might be. I'd like to know I won't get caught before I get my weapons to fight better with." She muttered quietly while staying with him so not to get lost and offer support as needed. She then got to thinking. "Hey, how long would we be safe for now here?" she was wondering to know if they'd have time for him to rest and recover from the beating.

~*~*~*~*~

Trumpet stayed with them and right where Lobo had told him to stay. He watched from a distance and his eyes widened in seeing their changes and the skill and power they had. He hadn't seen anything like them before and it astounded him.

When finally they would finish and return, he would come out of hiding and nod. He didn't like the thought but he knew no better way to get inside the castle to get Tala to get Viola from Lady Tigress. He took a breath and nodded, crawling inside and got into position, nodding. "I'll stay quiet, just get me inside so I can get Tala to get my friend."

He would then go quiet and still so they could do their part to get him inside. Just hold on Viola, I'm coming and then we can be together again just like before.

~*~*~*~*~

Crystal would explain she wasn't sure how to ask but if he thought she could then she might ask Gloria to help train her.

Lord Wolf listened and nodded. "You do have a lot to learn and it's true that Gloria would be skilled enough, she likes to survay and have freedom of movement far too much. I also do not have any family that can take over. Lobo was to become the Alpha after me but he has shown his true colors and I don't like the traits he demonstrated against you and Bryn. Those are not traits of a true Alpha for this pack."

He would watch and lay down himself but continue to speak. "I know you have much to learn still and that you too, like Gloria, enjoy your freedom of movement but what am I to do? I don't think the pack could survive under Lobo nor do I think Bryn would be able to handle being Alpha long. I'm at a loss for who I can trust to be Alpha after me. I know it's unorthodox to pick an outsider but sometimes an outsider is needed for a pack to flourish and grow."

Lord Wolf smiled tiredly. "You've already proven you can inspire change and I like that. I enjoy that you give the members of Omega's pack hope and courage. That's a good thing to be able to do. Lobo I don't think can inspire people to be better and to improve without invoking some fear. Bryn probably could but he's got a free spirit, much like you and Gloria. Gloria could but she can tend to be more serious and targeted on business."

Lord Wolf gave a wide yawn. "If you truly do not wish to be the Alpha after me then you can tell me. I'll try to scout someone else out but I think you might be the best bet to inspire the best in those in and outside the castle." He yawned once more and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.

Outside the door, Gloria listened and folded her feline ears down. The other reason is because wolves normally don't listen to a cat as easily as they do another wolf or canine. She thought before taking off to do another survey of the area to ensure all was secured and safe.

Tala would listen to Crystal when she mentioned about training with Gloria and nodded. He had to agree that Gloria would be a great choice and it would be wise to ask her first if she has the time to set aside and train.

He would also tell Lord Wolf that he understood the man's concern and was happy to assume the role of Alpha should anything happen to him, but only until a better suitor was found to replace him...
~*~*~

Filous had suffered far worse in the past, but the guards had certainly done him some damage, his right eye was darkened and puffy from where one of the men had scored a decent blow, he had several cuts and scrapes, some of which were still bleeding... Because of this, he accepted Fire's help, but tried his best to walk by himself. He would make sure he was with her when she opened the hidden door, casting a glance up the walkway before slipping ahead of Fire so he could lead, but also ensure he wasn't left behind,

Filous would listen to Fire's concerns, nodding before lifting his gaze as he recalled moments from the past, "Only Tigress and a select few advisers know of the hidden passages - I heard she would play there as a child, most of the advisers are too old or gone now, so not too many know, except me of course...very handy for slipping ahead of people..." Filous would press on, even though exhausted, eventually pausing to eat a root to replenish some health and energy when he remembered. "A bitter taste...but it helps..." He would have offered her a piece, but stock was limited and he didn't want to waste it if she didn't like the taste... If she convinced him however, he would share her a small sample, but only enough to heal some energy a handful of light scratches...
~*~*~

Lobo and the pack would carry the carcass through the gates, immediately drawing the attention of the guards who would stalk towards them with their weapons at their hands... In order to avoid conflict or suspicion, the Werewolf Leader would claim it was a gift for Lord Wolf as an apology for their actions the other day. There would be an understandable reluctance as the guards considered what would happen if it turned out Lobo was lying just to get back in...but eventually, after contacting someone higher up the chain, the pack was finally granted entry.

The sun would have risen by the time they were finally allowed as near as the castle gates and by then, word should have passed around that Lobo had returned and was seeking an audience with the Alpha... There was no telling how Lord Wolf would take the offer of the gift and at the same time, the Pack had given little thought for how Trumpet was faring on the inside, but if they were successful, it would be only a matter of time before their plan could be set into action...

If granted an audience, Lobo would lead his group into the throne room, standing before Lord Wolf and ordering his pack to set the carcass on the floor then bowing at the knee and requesting his Alpha's forgiveness, "My Liege, We have come before you with an offering... We humbly request your forgiveness for our actions, we had no real intention to cause such hassle and only really wanted to spar with the boy to see how well he was faring under our Pack Member's tutelage..."

He would explain further that their out of character reactions had been spurred by issues within the hunting pack, dysfunction caused by a great misunderstanding when Brynjolf left to train Tala, there had been much upset, but after a few hunts and spending more time with the pack training their other skills, they had learnt to work without Brynjolf being present...

He would continue with the apologies and his trying to convince Lord Wolf to accept them back and if they were successful, then they would bow and offer to take the carcass to the kitchens to be prepared - Lobo's backup plan was to lie low for the time being before launching an attack, if their attempts had been unsuccessful and Lord Wolf had instead remained unconvinced and untrusting, Lobo would gracefully leave the carcass as his gift, but then rise, pointing angrily in provocation towards his Alpha.

The pack would then spread out, their intention to hold back the guards as Lobo challenged the Owl for his Alpha status. He would bring up rules from the Wild Packs that would stipulate that if a successor challenged the Alpha for his rank and won, then he would take the throne and in turn, the citadel...and if the challenger lost, he would agree to be exiled never to return.

In the meantime, the carcass would be dragged to the side to allow room for a fight, Trumpet would then be given the opportunity to use the distraction to slip away unnoticed...

Only once he was away, would the pack ensure that nobody would be allowed to enter or leave during the fight as Lobo's pack guards the door.

If Lord Wolf had accepted the apology, then Lobo would fall onto his backup plan, with the pack resuming their original roles whilst planning for Lobo's challenge towards the Alpha much later on...

In the meantime, Tala would be down at Gunnar's Forge, working with Bryn on Gunnar's new request for weapons, the pair would be oblivious to what had happened in the city and even more unaware that Lobo had approached Lord Wolf with his apologies...

Fire stayed close and listened as he told of who all knew about the tunnels. She sighed displeased but was glad to know that about Lady Tigress. "So we might have a chance of Tigress meeting us should the guards alert her to us missing from our cells." She muttered quietly, sighing. "Hopefully we can get my weapons before that."

She watched him take out and eat some of the root. When offered she'd shake her head. "Only if I get hurt will I try any. For now, keep it to keep your strength up." She would stop so he could recover some and catch his breath. Last thing she wanted was her guide falling over on her.

When he would resume walking then so would she. She would keep close while working out what to do should Tigress be there waiting at the exit for them to surface. She didn't think the Owl would come into the tunnel and risk hurting herself with her magic.

~*~*~*~*~

Lord Wolf was up and about and Gloria was tense, not trusting the pack that had returned with the offering. She stayed nearby as she watched from the shadows at this offering. She frowned, not trusting it in the slightest and had her ears folded back but kept silent.

Lord Wolf also had the same feeling as her. This was strange behavior. He never took Lobo for the type to admit he did wrong, let alone say he was wrong when he had been so determined to take down the outsider. He did hear Lobo out and stayed quiet as he considered all this.

He would lift his hand and shake his head. "I do not accept your apology nor do I trust you or your pack to abide by the rules once more as you previously had. I don't trust you all to keep your word and behave. I don't want bad influences for the pack." When denying this and hearing Lobo challenge him to a fight under the wanting to be Alpha, Lord Wolf would frown and slowly stand.

"Very well, let us fight and once we do fight, we will see who will lead the pack." He stretched his arms and Gloria tensed more.

The corpse was removed and as it was and the ring was formed, she would watch the fight, not paying mind to the corpse or not fully.

When given the chance, Trumpet would slip off out of the corpse and away to hide and lay low for a while until he could find Tala. He also figured to wait, if he could, until nightfall and catch Tala when he was resting to make his job easier in capturing him.

He disliked being bloody and ended up finding the laundry room. He switched clothing in there so to clean himself up real quick. He then took off carefully, posting as staff before finding a place to hide. He found a spot in a spare room just down from Lord Wolf's chambers since he didn't know the layout of the castle.

Trumpet sighed and got himself comfy. Just hold on Fire, I'll be back soon for you, I promise. He thought silently and would wait for the time to move and find Tala once night came.

In the throne room, Lord Wolf would begin by summoning his plants and use defensive moves, keeping light on his feet to avoid what damage he could from Lobo while also trying to take him down by use of his plants. He was also using his plants to block strikes from Lobo while keeping on the move if he could to avoid major damage and trying to find an opening to actually strike.

"I shouldn't worry yourself too much about Tigress coming down here..." Filous replied reassuringly, feeling his strength slowly returning, "Lady Tigress seems to dislike anything filthy nowadays...and the amount of dust and spiderwebs down here...I would think it well below her...although she could always send the guards..." he hadn't meant to add that last part, but it was something they needed to consider...

The pair would weave through the tunnel system, pausing occasionally as Filous took a breather and also a moment to work out exactly where they were, "These markings show what's up ahead," he crouched down, pointing out small etchings carved crudely into the stone as if by a child's hands, "They're still quite easy to make out after all these years..." he stood, taking the route to the right of the T-junction, "The War Room isn't too far, so the Armoury shouldn't be much further." he pushed for a smile, but was still feeling rather beaten.
~*~*~

Bryn had collected Tala bright and early for their morning activities - it had become habit now that they would head down into the city, grab something to eat, spar a little - getting used to the layout of the streets before heading over to Gunnar's Forge to start their daily tasks.

Today was no different than the rest, the pair hit Brennan's Bakery, helping out with the daily preparations and partaking in a freshly cooked bread roll and butter before heading into the marketplace. It was here they took a moment for a play-fight, entertaining the early morning marketgoers before taking their brief chase up towards the Smithy where Gunnar would have a list of tasks for them to get on with.
~*~*~

"You don't know what you've done, Wolf." Lobo was understandably angered by the Owl's dismissal of his apology, but he had been itching to lay into the Alpha for some time now and wasted little time in preparing for the fight. "I will make you rue the day you allowed that Whelp into Our Pack." - There was no reason to hide his hatred for the young male any longer...

Lobo would remain human only briefly after the fight began, then, when Lord Wolf started to use his magic, summoning his vines, he wasted no time in transforming, using his sharpened claws to slash at the growing foliage before lunging in for the first attack... It would quickly become apparent that in the time that he had been away from the castle, Lobo had been training, building up his skills and working on methods which would assist him in his fight to obtain the title of Alpha. He knew Lord Wolf's Tricks and had worked hard to find ways of defending himself against such acts...

If entangled, Lobo would tug wildly against the restraining vines, using his fangs if his muzzle was free - and if not, his claws - to rip them away before pushing forward with his attacks. His Pack would cheer him on with hoots and howls as he slashed with vicious intent utilising every strength to damage the Alpha and claim his crown...

The fight would rage on for what seemed like forever, with each party exchanging blows and dealing equally as much damage to one another as would be expected in such an Epic Battle - Lobo was definitely strong and it would show, but eventually Lord Wolf, even though several years Lobo's Elder, would somehow find the strength to bring the Pack Leader and hold onto his title...

Depending on how things turned out, Lobo wouldn't go down without a fight. If overpowered by Lord Wolf's vines, he would continue to fight against his bindings, beaten, bloody and exhausted, yet ever defiant, even as he fell to his knees and flopped forward onto his chest with his arms bound tightly behind him. The rest of the Pack would fall silent in their chanting when their leader fell and would immediately move to step in, but with an authoritative bark, Lobo would stop them in their tracks.

He would return to his human form, clearly unimpressed, yet strangely accepting of his defeat... "How have you bested me...?" he would exhale, minute blood particles splattering on the floor with his breath, "I am in my Prime...I have trained for this moment...for as long as I have sought your throne...Yet you still won..." He would listen to Lord Wolf's reasons, then rise to his knees, his head bowed as the Alpha delivered his sentence...

The Pack would start to kick off about their Leader's judgement, but Lobo knew he's been beat.

Whatever Lord Wolf's decision, Lobo would rise when released and take his leave, be that at the hands of the guards, or leading his pack from the throne room... He knew that if the decision had been exile, they would be flanked until they were safely outside the city's perimeters, then left to the wilds...

~*~*~

Tala and Brynjolf would be completely unaware as to what had happened until well after dark when they finally returned to the castle for the evening... Whether or not a meeting would be called to discuss the incident, the pair would meet with Lord Wolf after their evening meal.

Fire listened, followed and looked before nodding. "I see, well good thing she doesn't like dirt. I doubt those idiots would rush in here without knowing the layout so not to get lost. I also doubt she'd remember the way to tell how to navigate down here?" she asked, not sure if that was a good or right guess or not.

She looked closely at the crude mark, touching it and followed him to the right. "Let's just hope we can get my weapons. If not, then we might have to fight or by we, I mean me. If they guard them then I'll just have to hope we can either distract them to leave or something so I can get them."

She would stop when he would, not wanting to push him too much as she knew he had taken quite the beating just to get the keys for them to escape.

"No, Lobo, you do not understand what you are doing nor do you understand what it takes to be a proper Alpha." Lord Wolf warned strongly and moved, taking his fair share of blows, losing some blood in the process from Lobo's strikes. He tried to restrain him many times and to protect himself only to get his own wounds while wounding Lobo.

It felt like the fight wouldn't end but eventually, Lord Wolf, out of breath and bleeding from the scratches and bites he took, would manage to ensnare Lobo and pin him to the ground and bind his hands behind his back.

Lord Wolf was panting and stood tall, looking down at the man as he turned back into a human. "I bested you because, although you are strong, youthful, and fast with much training under your belt and prep...you do not have the heart of a true Alpha. You care for others only when it benefits you or those you trust. An Alpha must fight and do so it benefits everyone, not just himself."

He would lecture while trying to catch his breath. He thought over how to punish him. He admired how he kept his pack in line and took a breath, exhaling softly. "I will exile you and your pack. You are permitted to come back in one year for evaluation by either myself or whoever has become the Alpha. If another Alpha is in my seat, you will abide by what their judgment is for your punishment. Reflect on what I have said and evaluate how your heart is, Lobo."

Lord Wolf looked to the guards and nodded. He would move and sit down on the throne while the guards moved, watching Lobo stand and would let him lead his pack out of the room, following the group until they would be safely outside of the city.

Inside, Gloria moved to Lord Wolf who coughed roughly into a hankie, folding it to hide the bit of blood which mainly came from where he'd gotten hit in the face and ended up bitting into his cheek and tongue. She moved to his side and helped him up. Together they walked out of the throne room and to the medical area so he could get treated for his injuries.

Later that evening, it would only be Bryn and Tala at the evening dinner table. No Omega gave reason why Lord Wolf was absent during the meal.

Once they were done eating, Gloria came into the room and motioned to the door behind her. "Come, Lord Wolf would like to see you both and discuss the future." She wouldn't sound excited and fairly serious.

When they would stand and come, she would lead the way to Lord Wolf's chambers where he was resting up after the fight for his crown. Inside, Lord Wolf sat up in bed with bandages on his wounded arm, around his shoulder, and a patch on his cheek that could be seen. That wasn't counting the wrap around his midsection under his shirt for where he had taken a deep swipe into his side.

"I'm glad you both could come." Lord Wolf would say softly, unaware of the stalker outside in the halls, having come out to carefully follow Tala, Bryn and Gloria to the door of his chambers. If asked what happened then Lord Wolf would explain about the fight for his crown against Lobo, about how he'd won and the terms he set for Lobo and his packs exile.

"So, because of this, I have thought tonight and so forwards until I have recovered, I have asked Gloria and wish to ask Bryn if they would both stay nearby to help guard us as we sleep. I know you can fight Tala but if someone springs an attack, I don't have the strength currently to really fend off one of Tigress's assassins or minions should they have their own magic."

Gloria would speak up. "I have agreed to guard and asked my group to help watch tighter on the castle and its area's."

Lord Wolf would look to Bryn. "If I am also not here, I need to think and pick someone to be Alpha for if in one year I am not around." He looked to Tala. "I know I wasn't going to ask for an answer right away but...I'm curious what your answer is Tala."

He would be quiet and listen to anything Tala had to say and think it over. He wouldn't blame the youth if he turned it down. But did hope he'd agree to take it.

Outside the room, Trumpet listened, readied a blade he had hidden that was charged with a brief use of magic. He crept closer and carefully touched the door. He peeked in, saw Tala and after some moments of waiting to let the quiet and chat move on, he sprung into action.

Trumpet barged in quickly and leapt for Tala. When he did this Lord Wolf's eyes widened and he quickly got off the bed. He summoned his plants and attacked, throwing Trumpet back. He stood between him and Tala, panting and looking ready to fall over as his injuries were still fresh.

Trumpet flew black, twisted around and kicked off the wall, running and jumped over another web of vines sent at him before coming down, stabbing into Lord Wolf's shoulder and slicing down across his chest, making the Alpha cry out in pain. "Get out of my way, old man!" Trumpet roared. "I'm going to take him and get Viola back!"

"No!" Gloria quickly moved, as this had taken place in just meer moments, she ran and punched Trumpet back and pulled Lord Wolf away as he collapsed into her arms, breathing heavily as he bled badly.

Trumpet growled and went for another weapon on his person, readying an electric ball to cause paralyzing effects.

If Tala were to spring into action and attack, Trumpet would stand no chance against him or Bryn. He would try to defend himself with the charged ball but it wasn't designed to handle magic attacks or defenses. He would try to struggle and fight back but would ultimately fall to Tala, having a last thought of Fire and wishing he could had done more to get her back.

Gloria would let Bryn handle Tala as she tended to Lord Wolf. She carefully removed the blade to cause him as little discomfort as possible. She grabbed a sheet and tried to put pressure to stop the bleeding but he was fading. She held back tears in her eyes and pulled out a powder from her shirt, sprinkling some into his wound to help ease the pain he was in.

Wolf would wince and breath heavily. He tried to speak but couldn't get out the words. He closed his eyes and his breathing becoming labored. She would softly stroke his paling and sweating face. "Shhh, it's okay my Alpha, you can rest. We'll all ensure the pack stays together and strong." She whispered softly, trying to hold back tears.

Lord Wolf would manage to whisper "Find....a....good....alpha...." he whispered between pants.

Gloria nodded. "We will, I promise." She held pain in her voice but was trying to hide it but it was slipping out.

Lord Wolf would open his eyes as much as he could and look at Tala and Bryn with blurry vision. "I'm...sorry..." he'd whisper sadly. "....forgive me...." He would wince after some moments, take a breath and his body would eventually go limp and cold to the touch in Gloria's hold.

Gloria's cat ears folded down sadly as her head lowered and eyes closed. She finally let her tears slip free as they fell down her cheeks. She would stay quiet for a while before whispering she would handle his funeral and help them both later find an Alpha if neither one of them felt up to the task, explaining if it were questioned why she couldn't about how wolves didn't listen to cats aside from Lord Wolf himself who did and would listen to her.

She would leave her bag behind while moving and ensuring Lord Wolf's body was moved to the right place so it could be cleaned up and he be given a proper burial in the coming days. The flap was slanted, allowing a white folded paper to be seen for anyone who saw it to read it should they care to reach in and see what was written.

If either one did that then they would read it was from Lord Wolf to her addressing his desire for Tala to be the Alpha, voicing he saw Tala's strong heart and felt safest with him in control of the pack. He even would praise how Tala inspired the Omega's to be braver to stand up for themselves when they were being abused wrongly by the Delta's. He was also happy with how the city folks enjoyed Tala as well. There would be further instructions if Tala did not want to take over then he instructed her to find a Beta that she could make listen to her so she could be the Alpha through the Beta.

Filous wasn't so sure, but would nod to help reassure her, hoping she was right. "Distractions I can do," he smirked, he could fight, but not as good as he could distract, "Let's just hope she is otherwise distracted." He would lead the way up towards the War Room, pointing out the door before tracing his fingers along the little etching in the stonework, "Not far now."

They would pause again after what seemed like ages of walking, but eventually, Filous would step ahead, reaching for a torch sconce, pulling it down before listening as something within the wall gave a click and the huge stone doorway began to draw back. "The Armoury," he beamed, turning to look down the small passageway which would branch out into a room lined with weapons and projectiles. "I don't know how long we'll have, so be swift, we'll retreat back here if anyone enters." He would arm himself with a dagger and a small box which he slipped into his pocket before standing aside to keep watch.

The pair would question Lord Wolf's absence, but it was only as Gloria made her appearance, summoning the pair to the Alpha's chambers that they feared something was terribly wrong. The tone of her voice was enough to throw up an array of questions, but they walked in silence until they reached the doors. Tala couldn't stop himself from rushing forward as he saw the state of the man who now rested in bed. Brynjolf was equally as shocked by the sight, but would advance more slowly, having learnt restraint in the past.

"I should have known Lobo would try something...but I never would have thought he'd challenge you directly..." He couldn't believe the Leader of his late Pack would play submissive before launching his attack... "I won't leave your side," he said this in answer to Lord Wolf's request of his guard, glancing between Lord Wolf and Tala as he spoke,

Tala knew it was a great task to take on, but he had faith that the Alpha would pull through and so agreed to accept the man's role should anything happen to him, "I might not be the best, but I'm sure the others will help me," he nodded, "At least until we can find someone more suitable for the role..."

Everyone would jump as the door slammed open, twisting round, Tala drew a breath as the male lunged towards him, blade drawn, he was equally as surprised when Lord Wolf suddenly leapt from the bed, placing himself between Tala and the assailant, "Alpha!" his eyes widened as he saw Trumpet recoil, plunging the blade into the Owl's torso.

In Brynjolf's eye, the world seemed to slow... He saw the expression of shock upon his young protege's face as Tala dropped down to check the man before watching as his eyes narrowed as Gloria pulled the injured Alpha's body out of the line of fire... The room seemed to grow chill and Tala let out a snarl, drawing darkness close before lunging for the throat of the assassin. He met Trumpet's charged attack head on, grasping the charge ball whilst it was still in the male's hand before absorbing the power and returning it ten-fold into Trumpet's chest.

Brynjolf would watch as the male's body sailed across the room, then without thinking twice, he would rush forward, blocking Tala's way and grasping the male by the shoulders as he moved to continue the assault. He didn't see what had befallen the assassin, but it took more than a moment to bring the youth back under control as Tala fought his older comrade to avenge his Alpha... "Tala!" shaking the male harshly so Tala would snap out of it, he steadied his young companion before stepping back, turning to face the assailant who lay motionless across the other side of the room...

Shaken back to reality, Tala suddenly remembered the Alpha and twisted round, dropping to his knees at the man's side as Gloria tried to stem the bleeding...

"...I'll try." Tala found even he couldn't hold back the tears that slid from his eyes, but he blinked them away, lifting his gaze as Bryn crouched next to him, placing a hand on the young male's shoulder as he watched the Alpha slip away...

"On your feet...Alpha." Bryn helped him stand, keeping his hand on the youth's shoulder as Gloria started making preparations to move the body away...

"It doesn't feel right..." Tala wasn't used to being called such... Sure, Lord Wolf had explained his reasons for his choice before, but the male still felt unworthy of the title...

"You'll grow into it..." Brynjolf patted Tala's shoulder again, "Let's get out of here...the Omegas need to clear up..." he cast a second glance over at the body of Trumpet, once again stunned by Tala's power...all be it briefly used, it was still strong enough to kill... Both were brought up not to go snooping in other people's belongings, so Brynjolf would lead the male from the room, taking him far from the Alpha's chambers and down past the guard station to where they would sit and watch the world down below them...

It would be several hours before they returned, the pair had spent the time talking over everything they had experienced with Lord Wolf, memories mostly and time spent in the man's presence, they would also discuss Tala's new role as Alpha...how it would no doubt mean another change in their routine, with Tala becoming sealed within the castle once more until otherwise advised... He didn't like the idea of that, but would understand they had little choice until he had been recognised as Alpha and things had once again settled down...
