Alright. Let's do this!

The witch practically jogged to the green field in her excitement, decked out in an outfit suitable for not much else besides pretending to look busy in gym class. It consisted of a pink and black t-shirt, black bloomer shorts and striped stockings. And the whole ensemble was topped off with a pair of pink running shoes the witch had added black bat wings to the sides. Feeling rather proud of herself (and after placing the sticker on a very prominent part of her anatomy), Belladonna nearly skipped to the starting line before she stopped and looked in the direction the voices seemed to be originating from. The witch paused in her tracks and cocked a hip.
"If you're going to shout insults, at least shout good ones. I have a pair of glitterpants back in my dorm room."

But before Belladonna could say much else or even give them helpful suggestions, she noticed the wall of fire careening toward her. A small squeak sputtered from her mouth and she started off down the course.
She had promised her parents to participate and by Jack and Sally, she would! If the witch wanted to stay a part of the school and actually finish out her years in Amityville, she'd have to actually participate, and that meant in school affairs and not just the fun stuff.
And even if this was something the Trick-or-Treaters had put together didn't mean anything. It was an opportunity to get back in shape! Maybe she'd surprise the whole family by becoming a ToT'er and going on super fun missions! Or maybe-- Maybe she'd just try to jump over some flaming hurdles first...

The first hurdle was easy enough. Belladonna sailed over it like it was nothing, but the second one caught her off guard and the third one was just a disaster. She jumped too late and the edge of one of her bat wings brushed the fire so that it caught aflame and after she had cleared the hurtle (but only just barely! Her butt felt strangely warm...) she had to plop down on the ground and put the fire out.
"Oh skin and bones! I had just ordered these all the way from Hades!" The witch shouted to no one in particular, but a bullet swooshed past her head and she was up for the next obstacle course, dashing off and hoping that she could make this one.

Belladonna Round 1: Pass!

Stage 1

Hearing that Nox was back around had given Bul good reason to come back around and talk to the ToTer about what had happened, as if he would care, and perhaps seek answers to a couple of questions weighing heavy on his mind. Trial by Fire was infamous for it's difficulty among students during the year prior and no doubt it would be just as hard this year,

Like last time Bul was prompted with a waiver by Hex and told the rules of the course in general. There was something exceptionally dismal this time around. The very first real meeting he had with Nox was thanks to Riley (and Jericho) but point being that she was no longer here. Did Nox know this? Of course it was none of his concern but the half beast felt that talking to the boil that survived the island that belonged to the fog, that dreaded insanity fog, would give him some sort of support in ANY form.

It also had a lot to do with the half beasts interest in his own future. We shall see ow the dice feel about that though.

After exiting the ceremony, Faustus had somehow managed to stumble his way around onto a mysterious field somewhere off the school grounds. In short, yes, he was lost. But as he was staring to the hurdles and out towards the lake, he noticed a peculiar thing.

A scruffy-looking halloween fellow was standing nearby, motioning to him with a piece of paper in his hand. Thinking he could be of some help, Faustus hurried over.

But wait, what?? This was an obstacle course of some kind?? ... and he had to participate?? ... Reluctantly the boil leaned forward, signing his name to the paper. He was then thrust rather abruptly towards the first set of hurdles, which he noted, were now oddly flaming. Wait, everything around him seemed engulfed in flames.

The demon smiled. This should be fun.

He quickly began across the first hurdle, not worried in the least. After all, what harm could fire do to a flame demon?? ... if anything, the warmth felt familiar and inviting, warming and loosening his tense, sore muscles.

But as he neared the final hurdle, the boil took a short leap, and tripped and stumbled across the hurdle. He crashed to the ground hard, staring in shock as the hurdle teetered above him, coming down on top of him at an alarming rate-

When Faustus came to, he would find himself at the nearest FEAR clinic.

Stage 1

Back for more heated ACTION Bul cracked his neck and did a few stretches before heading straight on into the first obstacles.So far so good but he'd thought that same thing the last time and screwed up at the hurdles.

Stage 3

So far so good, he had been prepared for the hurdles that time. But then came the bombs tied to strings.

"oh... right.." Bul groaned as he whipped his tail in excitement.

There was something quite unpleasant about a set of tethered bombs. If they weren't so fiery and explosive and probably against minipet ethics, he would probably request it become a sport at the school.

That actually wasn't half that bad of an idea..

Bul just barely finished the course by the skin of his teeth, nearly taking a dive into the lava lake that he'd SOMEHOW mysteriously forgotten. Luckily he came out in good enough condition to face the ToTer like he originally intended. Essentially he earned some candy or a rotten egg with such a pitiful score, hardly leaving any impression of being advanced at the course (except maybe at punching bombs). Fortunately though he had aready written down on a slip of paper what he needed to ask since surely Nox wouldn't waste his time talking to him here.

Before he'd leave the course for the day, he did aim to continue practicing on it later, Bul left the note wherever the hell on this field wasn't coated in fire that read:

There's some spoiled milk in the freezer,
Should get it and share it sometime.

Then Bul twisted his handlebar mustache deviously at such a well-laid, intricate device he had created. Adjusting his bowler hat and tie he turned away with a silly walk.

Arynek now had the feeling that she was the animals in the circus, in front of her were a series of hoops, on fire.

The shadow ghoul was shocked a bit and didn't know what to do.
"Am I supposed to jump over them...........? But I am not the circus animal, maybe I'll just walk past that. :/"
Without waiting, a load of bullets arrived near her feet answered her question. Obviously, she was required to jump over them...........candlejack!

"Get a move on, Prom Date!" The gnomes who shot her shouted.
She stood in front of the hoops, observed the fire movement made by the winds, waiting for the suitable movement to come.

She was patient enough in waiting, waiting for the gap within the fire to open and she made a fast jump. Yep. Speed and timing were important for this. Too slow, the fire would catch you. Too fast, you might jump into the fire before the gap opened. After the first hoop, she stood and waited again, ignoring the yell from the gnomes.

She treated the remaining hoops in the similar manner and it was done! Not bad, just her cloak caught fire once.......

Stage 2: PASS

Israfel had been right; Nox had a price, and the price was this course. He wouldn't mentor nor would he willingly see her to talk till she proved her value to the hard to track ToTer. She hadn't brought more then her black workout top, and cargo jeans. No sense ruining a jacket when a course full of fire has a chance to kill her and ruin the whole thing.

For a moment she stood there, watching the burning hurdles with a heavy sigh. Fire, she should be used to this by now. She had died by it many times. She could make it this time just like the first time. No piranah's yet...

Crack!

A gnome rifle went off just as she started to run, the shot triggered something, it sounded like a hunters gun, she barely reached the first hurdle before falling into setting herself ablaze with a series of swears before bursting into purple flames as dissipation took hold.
