Alwine felt like she was being looked at as she laced up the tattered remains of her dress. She tied the sash closely around her and quickly looked around. Maybe someone was looking for her? Yes, that must've been it.
By that time, Christof was looking elsewhere, so his viewing went unnoticed.
And then there was a splash! Luckily Alwine was out of the way, but she turned around to see Barth in the water.
"Not so sleepy now, Barth?"
Alwine leaned against one of the peppermint trees and watched her friends, as she often enjoyed doing.

"Not so sleepy?" He bubbled. His boots, socks, and gloves gradually joined the pile. He folded a long set of claws over his stomach, eyes already closing in all the naturally hot water and steam.
"Perish the thought."

exclaim There was no Jingleberry
In fact, the once-cheerful Candycane Lane, was looking very ominously dark. Where in Jack's name did that hovering cloud appear from, out of nowhere, and was it getting closer?!
Action post:
- ROLL A 100-SIDED DICE IF you choose to stay and fight where the strange cloud is hovering - If you choose to run away simply rp leaving Candycane lane.

Jamais watched the dark cloud curiously her ears flickered, "Um.... guys." She called back looking at them. "Does anyone else feel we might have a problem?"

Nodding to Malodore while carefully taking the things, Jericho hoped he could work the lighter with his claws. It wouldn't be easy though. If not, he'd have to find someone else to do it, though it would be convienent if he could pull it off. He was probably the most fire-proof of the students available and all.
Turning towards Jamais, the dragon nodded once more.
"I'll be flying around to try and spot any dead trees in the area. Shouldn't be too hard. The more fuel we have, the better," he said before turning towards West, "Try to find a good spot to build the fire."
Too focused on the prospect of fire, he was completely oblivious to the insanities of what was going on behind him in the spring. Leaping into the air, he sent a small flurry of snow about as he took flight to start the hunt for wood.
Of course right as he did so, he took notice of the rather ominous cloud approaching. Strange. That didn't look very natural at all. It seemed to be headed in their direction as well.
"GUYS! HEADS UP! SOMETHING'S COMING OUR WAY!" he boomed to the students below.

Riley hadn't realized how hard it was to see under the water. She let Aksaja slip by without so much as a by your leave, the lucky dragon. She popped her head out eventually when she needed air, but an ~ominous cloud~ took her attention away from her murderous intentions. How ominous.

Alwine looked up and shrieked.
"Everyone!! I'm so sorry to interrupt, but I think we need to evacuate the springs!!"
Alwine clutched at her throat and shuddered.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry..."

Barth saw no real reason to leave the hotsprings.
He was, as established, not a very good guard.

The lightning dragon scrambled out of the water just as Jericho started yelling about something or other. Whipping around, Aksaja squinted up into the sky. What... the Jacking hell was that? It certainly didn't look like any ninja to him.
But it was certainly OMINOUS. .... And it was ruining their fun hot water time. Dammit. "What in the world..."

-Wait. Was that... Malodore tensed. "Understood," it said, in Jericho's direction. It was not going anywhere; Luce flew out of the hotsprings and - in between shivers - barked furiously at the cloud!

Christof jumped at the sudden splash, attention brought back up as Barth resurfaced and settled into the hot spring. Suddenly, Christof was having second thoughts about this school play. Childhood theater visits for an old story were one thing... aside from the occasional moments of reprieve, the real thing had been another. At least the demon seemed no worse for wear... but if their Oogie drowned, they could pass it off to an understudy, right?
Hells bells. He managed to finally undo the dragon's knots, unwinding the laces from his numb and seam-ripped ankle, at least now knowing where the numbness had come from. He was content to stay on his rock, let the prima-dona go... soak with those undressed ghouls. Whatever.

Amrita turned her head a bit to peer at Sammy when she was addressed. While she was thoroughly convinced that nobody needed fire, it seemed that in this instance someone might need it. It was an upsetting notion. Her attention was briefly turned by the Plague Doctor, who assured her that it wouldn't spread; and upon looking around, she felt he was right. The area before had been all wood...this was all snow. They should be fine, it shouldn't spread like last time.
Besides, Tahki was there, chirping in agreement. She couldn't say no to Tahki!
Rubbing her eye with a reversed hand, she nodded slowly in understanding. "W-well, okay, I guess..." She murmured timidly, her voice shaking a little bit. That event would probably traumatize her for life at this rate. Stupid fire. Stupid Christmastown. "I'm sorry." Amrita whimpered to the Doctor for her outburst, apologizing even though she still didn't completely agree with it.
"Her name is Tahki." Amrita then said to Sammy, trying to be helpful; knowing someone's name was always a good thing, right?
Then, the place started to grow dark...and Amrita clung onto Petro, who for some reason kept his ground.
