[ATE: Master and Apprentice] [Louis : Shipwreck Cove : Secluded Balcony]
Louis looked back out at the ocean, his face contorting slightly into a smirk as Anthony voiced his apparent concern for lack of planning on his part, "Well, start by telling me what you think darkness is exactly," Louis glanced away from the moonlit sea cove entrance and looked at Anthony out of the corner of his eye, "I promise, there's no right or wrong answer as I don't think anyone quite knows for sure. I'd like to know what you think of it before I share my own opinions."

[ATE: Master and Apprentice] [Anthony ~.~ Shipwreck Cove ~.~ Secluded Balcony] Anthony looked away from Louis and gazed out at the ocean through the cove's entrance. He was in thought. The young man never really gave the question much thought before. He hesitated. While still looking out at the water, Anthony spoke. "Back home I had three dogs: Magnum, Shay, and Dinosaur (I'm pretty sure my brother was under the influence of some narcotic when he named the last one). Magnum was the smartest one out of all of 'em. He was also the most spoiled." He looked down at his feet as he chuckled. "Sometimes I would tease him by getting one of his treats and placing it a few feet in front of him. Immediately, he would get up and walk towards it, but I would tell him to stop and he'd just stop and stare at the treat, waiting for me to give him the command to get it.
To further tease him, I would leave the room and watch from behind a wall to see if he'd get the treat without my command. He'd hesitate at first because he'd be afraid of getting in trouble, look around to make sure I wasn't there, and then slowly make for the treat. That's when I'd come out and stop him again. Eventually, he'd get frustrated, grab the treat, and run away, regardless of how many times I'd call out to him. Then he'd get all happy and energetic because he got some food in his belly." The knight chuckled again as he lifted his gaze. "I think Darkness is kinda like Magnum and the treat. It's there and we want it, but we know we can't get it because we'd get in trouble, even though it's beneficial." The young man turned to face Louis once again. "It's power. We all posses it, and we're all tempted by it because we want it. To wield it would come at a great cost, but I believe the benefits outweigh the risk."Anthony paused. His gaze dropped to the railing. "I've thought about it a lot since we last spoke--in and out of battle. To want something as great as Darkness for the sake of my friends and companions is suicide. Who am I to help others when I still need help myself? I want this power to become stronger; to be less afraid of the consequences; to be balanced. I have Darkness in my heart, but why do I live in fear of it when I could make it a part of who I am?"The knight glanced up at Louis, confidence in his eyes. "I want this power for me."

[ATE: Master and Apprentice] [Louis : Shipwreck Cove : Secluded Balcony]
There was a silence like no other from Louis, the words of the other boy sinking deep as he understood everything he meant, "It's power. We all posses it, and we're all tempted by it because we want it. To wield it would come at a great cost, but I believe the benefits outweigh the risk.""To want something as great as Darkness for the sake of my friends and companions is suicide," Anthony said, striking a note deep inside Louis. He used darkness to help others. Was that why his actions always ended in self destruction? Was that why the replicas could exist as they are, because their powers are for themselves alone? "I have Darkness in my heart, but why do I live in fear of it when I could make it a part of who I am?" Louis came back to the conversation, still not saying a word and allowing the other boy to finish, "I want this power for me."Louis finally spoke after a moment of silence, "Good answer. as long as you are resolute in your beliefs, you will succeed," Louis stood up and brushed off the back of his pants, "That said, first lesson, darkness is not just a power, it's much like a living part of you." Louis held out his hand and allowed the darkness to surface over his palm, swirling it between his fingers and he waved his hand slowing through the air, "Like any living thing, it sometimes has a mind of its own, yet, it's a part of you and ultimately under your sole control. Losing control of yourself, means losing control of it. Darkness is a savage beast unbridled, as is light. Darkness will swallow you up, while light can scorch oneself to dust." "To give my own theory, darkness is less a power dependent on one's strength, but rather ones negative experiences throughout their life, combined as a collective force. Negative experiences all have the capability of breaking any one of us... ruining our will to do good. To put it simply, I belive the darkness one has at their disposal is equal to their potential to do evil. This is why one's resolve is so important. People weak of heart are consumed by that possibility, ultimately devoured by their own darkness." Louis walked about the balcony, darkness jumping from hand to hand now, spiraling around itself in streams from finger to finger, "Which brings me to another factor, as darkness exists in you and as one can enlist the help of others, one can draw in darkness from their surroundings... even other people. However..." Louis waved his hands around him, drawing them up and with it darkness seeped through the cracks in the balcony and coated his arms, "While your own darkness is a heavy burden, to try and take on the burdens of those around you can be too much to bear. I experienced this myself..." "But, even so, the combined potential..." at last, the arcanist gathered all the darkness into an orb the size of a beach ball. The darkness reverberated with a low hum. Then all at once, it blasted forth from the floating orb-like puddle and shot out into the sky harmlessly but with enough force to shake the balcony and many of the surrounding sections, "can be very beneficial. But the risks can very much outweigh the reward if you lose site of yourself in a sea of darkness you draw into yourself."

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 1 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } The Dusk writhed for a moment in shock, trying desperately to escape, before it realized that it wasn't about to be killed. When it realized the hulking man was speaking to it, it calmed, hanging limply in his grasp. Slowly, the zipper that made up the Dusk's mouth began to move, opening up. "You are... Nobody," it spoke, though it seemed to have no voice, no sound... its words seemed to appear in Lexaeus' head like distorted white text. "Do you aid the Earthlings?""What've you got there, Lex?" Riku asked, strolling down the balcony with a raised brow; he'd 'heard' the odd Nobody's speech, and though his Keyblade was drawn and at his side, he didn't seem too tense. Lexaeus seemed to have it covered.

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 2 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } Lex sneered at the dusk. Well, that wasn't an answer, now was it? But before he could even answer, Riku responded. Apparently he was near enough to hear the nobody 'speak'.
"Something that was wandering around. It has not said what it wants or who it is working for, though." It could be alone...well, before it spoke. No, it was obviously working for someone. They wouldn't say things like this if they were on their own.

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 3 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } "You... have the Keyblade," it spoke, twisting its head a sickening ninety degrees to look at Riku. "Then Nobody..." it turned to face Lexaeus once more. "... is with Earthlings.""What's it matter?" Riku asked, drawing closer to the two with narrowed eyes."I have... message," it said, not yet moving. "Warning... from the illusionist..."As Riku predictably tensed, the Dusk suddenly craned its head back, mouth gaping toward the sky; without warning, a blue sphere appeared from the depths, fitting nicely into the creature's mouth. The inside of the sphere seemed to emit a small amount of light, with odd, swirling clouds within.

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 4 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } Lexaeus's hand tensed for a split second at the Nobody's words, staring at the Sphere. What? What did it say? Illusionist? Did that mean...
"Talk. Now. Where is he? Where is Zexion?" Was it really something from Zexion? Could he finally found a link to him?

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 5 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } "I am not allowed to say," the odd mental projection responded. "Too... dangerous. He knows the Earthlings will come. It is..."It paused, as if searching for the right word. "Suicide."Riku cautiously reached forward with his free hand, grabbing the sphere from the Dusk's mouth. It was light, but it obviously had some form of magic stored into it. "I left when they... were coming for him," it continued. "I am not to return. He... will not remember."

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 6 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } No. He was close with this dusk. He could feel it...somewhere in his mind. This was a link to Zexion. "Tell me. Now. Tell me!" He even shook the dusk, trying to make it spill it's 'secrets'.

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 7 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } "No. He was... explicit," the Dusk continued, looking back to Lexaeus. "None... were to take that risk. The Earthlings must... be kept safe.""A likely excuse," Riku muttered, turning away from the sphere and glaring at the Dusk. "Tell us or we'll end you.""I was told... to expect that..." it began, its lips slowly starting to zip up. "My death... for their future. Such was... his command."

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 8 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } "No!" He couldn't have it zip it's lips(literally). He needed to know where Zexion was. He couldn't end it like this, not when he felt this close.
The Silent Hero grabbed the zipper, forcing it back open and holding it, his hand around the creature's neck squeezing it more. "Tell me! Where is he? Where is he?!"

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 9 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } "Lexaeus," Riku said carefully, eyes looking toward the giant. Weren't Nobodies supposed to... lack emotion? Why was this so important? At first, the Dusk did nothing; it merely stared with its eyeless face at the Silent Hero. After a moment, though... "... the epicenter of Darkness," it explained. The mental explanation even capitalized the word 'Darkness'. He began to squirm again, as if speaking was hurting him. "Where the warmth of Light... cannot reach."

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 10 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } That wasn't a good enough answer for the nobody, his hand starting to bend the zipper's handle. "Where, exactly? Tell me now!" The Realm of Darkness? But where? That was too expansive to just start searching. He needed more.

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 11 } { Riku ; ??? : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies } "Ri... Rido..."Finally, the squirming turned into writhing, and as it continued to try and satisfy Lexaeus' curiosity, it began to dissipate... before evaporating entirely. Riku said nothing for the moment, looking between Lexaeus' now empty hand and the giant's face. "Come on, Lex," he said, pocketing the sphere. "Let's go up to the ship. We'll watch it there."

{ ATE : Confused Illusions : 12 } { Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies } Lexaeus clenched his empty fists. He lost it. All he had was 'rido'. What did that even mean? What the hell was Zexion thinking?
He had one lead...but it was a crappy one. He turned to Riku, face as neutral as ever. "Let us go, then." And then headed up to the ship. There was no point clinging to lost leads. No point at all....
