[ ??? : Caribbean : Shipwreck Cove ]

In the lingering moonlight, a small, black portal opened up inside the cove. It was insignificant, hidden by the shadows, and was closed moments later. Only a single Dusk Nobody slipped through, standing around on its feeble little legs and cocking its head from side to side, as if looking for something. After a moment, it was airborne, hovering a few feet of the ground and slither-gliding through the air in its quirk little way. It slowly flew up the ramps, stopping every so often and looking around once again before moving forward...

[[For the record, in case you jumped to the most recent page to see the latest post, there was another, far more important one at the bottom of the previous page.]]

[Joe; Triton: Atlantica: Throne Room]

Triton might have been king, but he knew when to not argue when someone ordered him around. There was worry, and...he needed to save his people.

"Begin evactuating! Women and children take priority, and make sure my daughters ar-"

"Father."

As if on cue, the six princesses came into view, Attina in front, her face serious. "Father, we would like to stay and help."

"No! Absolutely not! I forbid it-"

"Father! We do not intend to be at the front line, but we have a magic of our own. That you taught us. Exactly in cases like this. Did you not?"

"That still-"

"Father, please. Let us help defend our kingdom."

Triton glared at his daughters, who all glared back at him. With a sigh of worry, he said "If only Ariel were here...no, no, she'd be leading the charge on me, wouldn't she? You must promise me that you will stay out of harm's way. I will not lose you. Any of you."

"Of course, Father. Just like we won't lose you."

Joe was pale. No, not those damned geists. He couldn't even tear himself away from what Kyle was showing him, even though he was trying. But he needed to see it all. Kyle probably felt the fighter's conflict, trying to tear himself away as hard as he could, while trying to make himself stay. And at Ajora's words, the vision started tearing for him.

No no no no no no no...

The guards were working, swimming back and forth around him as he sat on the ground. He wasn't shaking, that was a plus, but he was definitely off. He could already tell Kyle was probably hovering. Maybe. Just a small inkling that was there. So he waved him off with a grunt. He'd be fine. He'd fight when he needed.

Lexaeus turned his head, as if to look for a speaker, even though he was pretty sure he wasn't going to find anyone there.

...There was a dusk appearing there, though. Huh. That wasn't good.

Lexaeus followed it for a bit. It seemed non-threatening, but...he couldn't take a chance. With a quick(for the giant) movement, Lexaeus had the dusk in his grasp. His large hand had it by the neck, hard enough to keep it from squirming away, but light enough to not strangle it.

"Who are you working for?"

Sayrike::Red Rose::SLEEP TIEM.

It was the first time Sayrike had taken a shower in days. It was the first time she had proper sleep clothes (fuzzy pajama pants and a large t-shirt) in just as long and it was the first time she had been on anything resembling a bed. She was still a bit sore after sparring with that guy--Matthew--but they had both profited from it, Sayrike gaining a shiny new ability--Confuser. Plus, she had gotten to watch everyone else take a stab at Matthew, Sayrike being the last one to have a go. Still, once that was over, she promptly left. It was time for sleep.

Quickly finding the sleeping quarters, Sayrike picked out an empty room and slowly lowered herself onto the bed, savoring the soft sheets, the mattress that actually gave beneath her weight (unlike dirt floors or trees), the warm, fluffy duvet that seemed to wrap her in a cocoon of feathers. She needed this. Oh Lord, did she need this. There was no way to describe how wonderful this bed was. She didn't need to get up ever again. This was it, she was going to live out the rest of her life here. No pirates, no starving, no endless ocean, no sleeping in forests, no stealing, no hiding, no enemies. Just her and this bed.

There were very few nerves functioning in Sayrike's brain at that moment, but before her head hit the pillow and she passed out for the rest of the night, a final thought managed to fire across.

OH MY GOD THIS IS WHAT HEAVEN MUST FEEL LIKE.

And with that, she slept, blissfully unaware of their arrival at Shipwreck Cove nor of the new dangers facing her tomorrow.

[ ??? : Caribbean : Shipwreck Cove ]

The Dusk writhed for a moment in shock, trying desperately to escape, before it realized that it wasn't about to be killed. When it realized the hulking man was speaking to it, it calmed, hanging limply in his grasp. Slowly, the zipper that made up the Dusk's mouth began to move, opening up.

"You are... Nobody," it spoke, though it seemed to have no voice, no sound... its words seemed to appear in Lexaeus' head like distorted white text. "Do you aid the Earthlings?"

[[ We'll probably move this to ATE, but I should note that what follows might be considered a relatively important side-plot. Also, to imagine how it's talking, imagine the KH2 tutorial as the Dusks talk to Roxas. ]]

[ Kyle ; Sora : Under the Sea : Palace Halls ]

Kyle watched as Triton took action, and as his daughters rebelled. He couldn't help but feel a bittersweet tug at his heart. They would fight... and there was no denying aid would be needed... but they would need protection.

If the daughters would stand and fight, how many others? How many would evacuate, and how many would take up arms?

They are a proud, happy people... Would they defend their homes?

Without really musing over the idea, he turned and began to swim over to Joe; he'd felt the tugs, the strain of his heart. The seal brought them closer than most... the magical connection seemed to even reach Joe's Heart, though not in an oppressive way.

... maybe...

"I'm forwarding all of that to Riku. He'll know what to do with the others," Sora said, frowning as the gears turned in his head. "King Triton, we'll be going back to the surface to regroup and plan-- but you know me. We'll be here before anything happens, you have my word."

"I won't be leaving," Kyle said, making Sora's brows raise. Before the Keyblader could even mention 'sleep', Kyle shook his head. "I'll act as insurance of your return. Besides, with Ajora behind this, I couldn't sleep even if I wanted to. He's obviously not."

Sora hesitated for a moment before nodding, figuring changing the dragoon's mind would be a waste of everyone's time. Kyle then turned back to Joe, ignoring his grunt (because he knew that, overall, Joe would shoulder his burden, just as Kyle would his own), and looked to him with narrowed, contemplative eyes. There were ideas churning behind his brown irises-- ideas he wasn't even sure were plausible or safe, from the expression on his face.

But ideas that might be necessary.

"Joe," he finally said, keeping his voice low enough so that only the bo-wielder would hear him. "I... I have a plan. But it requires some small sacrifices... can I trust you to see it through with me?"

[[ This will probably have a bit of ATE, as well, but everything RP-essential has been addressed, so it's safe to assume that we're about to time-skip to morning. Just making sure everything's fitting in right... ]]

Brilliant sea green eyes widened in surprise as the message resounded through her head. It was faint but at the same time so clear having interrupting all her thoughts. Her eyes narrowed a second later as she pondered the cryptic message. Then, she heard Luxord's question; asked to no one and Larxene paused.

Could he have...?

[Jenny :: Shipwreck Cove :: Rose Ramp]

Jenny tilted her head ever so slightly as Matthew looked increasingly more nervous from glancing over the edge. Afraid of heights...? It was a possibility but the mage wasn't going to prod at it. Her own brown eyes flickered over the murky waters again as she contemplated his words. Had she been more confident in her swimming abilities... or lack there of, she was sure falling in water would probably hurt less; given one fell the right way.

"I can't say... I don't like the prospect of falling at all, the whole lurching of the stomach. Same reason I don't like roller coasters. But, in the end, if you know how to tuck all your limbs in properly, I'm sure falling in water would hurt less? I fell once from the monkey bars onto sand and it hurt." She responded, of course she was a child then and she could have been a drama queen. But she did a lot of dumb things as a child, most of which would make her cringe now.

Jenny smiled, if only their lives weren't perpetually in danger. They could take the time to really explore and appreciate each of the worlds they had been too. But they weren't here for sightseeing and tourism, they had to fix Earth and all these other worlds touched upon by Chaos. The mage stayed silent for a second before replying, her voice getting softer as she spoke, "well, hopefully we'll all see many more worlds together..."

[Alice :: ???]

Alice stood alone, facing the moon with Alys hovering close by her left ear. Her twintails billowed in accordance with the wind as if dancing to a tune that couldn't be heard. In her hands was a simple orb of darkness, its tendrils weaving between her fingers. She preferred the solitary darkness over the bright halls of Castle Oblivion with all the pomp and circumstance of the other Replicas. With their cunning smiles, crude remarks and coy attitudes as each individual raced toward their own goals; using one another to achieve them faster.

The Animator laughed, a cruel laugh that danced around her with the breeze. She was just like them, all of them. Working her smiles in deceit. She knew her flaws like the back of her hand, much like she knew the flaws of her original. She chuckled again, what a life to lead when one knows that their existence is an anomaly... The familiar toll of time rung through the otherwise still night and Alice's auburn eyes glanced toward the clocktower in the distance. She knew that soon she'd have to return to the Flying Dutchman and no doubt all the other newly made replicas would have settled in by now. It went without saying that she wasn't interested in working with any of them, half of them seemed like cocky bastards while the other half seemed to be perma-raging.

Let the pieces fall where they will, and everything will drift in place...

The Dawn of the Seventh Day

Slowly, the horizon began to glimmer with light. Those in the Cove who were awake could look out through the small entrance and see the faint signs of the rising sun. The morning had come.

In the hours between their arrival and now, the heroes of Light had scattered around the region. Many went into their respective areas and slept the night away, resting their tired bodies and minds for the inevitable battles to come. Others scouted below the seas, uncovering the deeper scenario: Triton has had his Trident stolen by the Replicas, who were amassing an army some distance away from the city.

As if that wasn't enough, many knew of the coming threat of the East India Trading Company. Cutler Beckett's personal army traversed the seas, arriving shortly before dawn; they waited some distance from Shipwreck Cove, knowing negotiations would be had before the battle commenced. Their flagship, the Flying Dutchman, had remained overnight with a clear view of the Cove; it was manned by both Davy Jones and his men and the Replicas, old and new.

And still, there was no word nor sign of the Lost City of Atlantis.

Most of the scouts returned to the Cove to get some rest of their own, but not all. The city would get no rest that night, and a number of the heroes volunteered to stay behind, helping with the evacuation and defensive set-up. But, to no one's surprise but King Triton, few of the underwater citizens fled at all; many took up arms of their own, refusing the let the forces of Darkness take their homes and freedom without a fight.

Those in the Cove would likely have been awoken by the raucous sound of activity outside their rooms as the nine armies of the Pirate Lords all rushed to ready their ships. There was no more time for drinking, no more time for relaxing; the uncivilized pirates knew their very existence was threatened and took their cue. They were soldiers for their cause, and they would all go down with their ship if that's what was required.

The line had been drawn in the sea floor. The line had been drawn in the ocean waves. Battles on both fronts were mere hours from commencing.

So begins the Seventh Day.

[ Sora ; Riku ; Seymour ; Kuja : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies ]

Sora sighed, sitting on the ledge of the balcony and kicking his feet through the railing. He managed to sleep the night through, but it had been restless. He never could get a good night's rest when he was anxious about the next day... especially something as dramatic as this.

Glancing down at the back of his left hand, he look at the black, tattooed symbol that Kyle had placed there. He had a sneaking suspicion that Kyle's anxiety had been leaking through, keeping him from as deep a sleep as he'd prefer, but maybe it didn't work that way. He did remember growing particularly tired shortly before getting back to the ship as Kyle drained him of his energy, though, so maybe it helped more than it hurt?

"Hey."

Sora turned around to look up at his childhood friend and fellow Keyblade Master as he strolled down from the Red Rose's ramp. He looked every bit as disheveled as Sora did; he'd been up when Sora returned, having been shown the army, and the two had talked for a bit about the plans. Sora would be going below, and Riku would be staying above to make sure things went accordingly.

"The others are starting to get up," Riku explained, taking a seat beside Sora. He stared out at the sun climbing over the horizon. "With a bigger group, we'll still need to see who's going where."

"I know Joe and Noelle will be fighting with me in Atlantica," Sora responded, shrugging his shoulders. "A lot of the people from the various worlds can't just shift like we can, so they'll be up top. They're a bit more skilled, anyway, so you shouldn't have too much to worry about."

"We still don't know how many Replicas there are," the older boy corrected him with a frown. "If each of them have one..."

"Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about those pests," the Genome mused, his amused tone drifting down from the Rose's Balcony. He leaned against the railings with a somewhat bored look. "They might prove a bit much for you, but that's why the maestro is here to help~"

"And to insure the safety of those below, I will be coming with you, Sora," Seymour spoke as he strolled down the Rose's ramp, staff in hand. Sora noted that he, too, had the black symbol on his left hand-- Kyle must have gone to him as a last-ditch effort. "It will only take a bit of magic to transform, and I think it better to keep our forces evenly spread."

Riku nodded, but didn't bother looking toward the other two. His eyes narrowed off into the horizon at the sounds of their voice, but he said nothing about it.

"Sora, what do you think about that message?" he asked, going over what he and Lexaeus had discovered the night before-- a Dusk, sent by Zexion, with a strange recording sphere carrying a message. "I don't trust it, but I'm biased."

"I... I dunno," Sora asked, screwing his eyes together in thought. "I think... I don't really know, Riku. We'll have to tell the others after all of this is over. Show it to them. But no sooner-- let them focus. If Kyle were to hear anything about it, I don't know what he'd do."

[ Ajora : Paris : In Bed ]

Though his eyes were closed, Ajora's consciousness had begun to reawaken. It started slowly at first. The comfort of the sheets enveloping him. The warmth of her back against his chest. The smell of her hair in his face. The pressure of her head lying on one of his arms. The instinctive other arm wrapped around her abdomen, keeping her close.

The glory of morning rising to such wonderful sensations.

"Good morning, mon belle amie," he whispered, after lifting his head somewhat and before nibbling on Elleon's ear.

[ Ajora ; 'Louis' : Caribbean Sea : Dutchman ]

"Wakey wakey!" Ajora announced in the Dutchman's hold as he walked through, heading toward the upper decks. There wasn't exactly anywhere else for them to sleep. "The time you've all been waiting for is about to arrive, so everyone needs to wake up~!"

The Black Prophet strolled onto the deck, sniffing the salty air around him and watching as all of the Dutchman's crew moved about, getting the ship ready for combat. The armored monstrosity Louis remained at the helm, vigilant as always, and beside him, none other than the hulking, Blizzard-elemental Black Waltz stood, hunched over.

Ajora smiled. The preparations were almost complete.

[Saint.:Caribbean:.Dutchman]

Saint heard Ajora from his hammock and opened his eyes angrily. Still naked and clutching onto Dusk's body for warmth he detached himself from the replica in a way that would not wake her. He made his way to the deck of the ship and peered out over the ocean. The morning was beautiful, and he could appreciate that at least. His naked body gleamed in the sunlight.

He looked over to see Ajora and blankly stated, "...mornin' cap'n".

At that Saint ran to the side of the ship and hurled himself into the water for a morning swim to wake himself up. For his own sake and the sake of others so that he wouldn't murder someone from his morning anger.

[ 'Teacher' : Jadis' Castle : Castle Halls ]

The castle had been deathly silent all morning, but as the horizon slowly began to glimmer with light, Nicholas would have heard a light knock at the grand double doors that marked the entrance into the room that had been prepared for him.

"Morning comes in Port Royal," the Teacher spoke through the door, her voice penetrating with eerie ease. "It is time to wake."
