Nightkit looked up after Rainpaw licked her between the ears beofre dropping her gaze back to her mouse and nibbling a bit more.

" We can go, no one else is up yet." Greythroat said as he picked up a vole and began to eat.

i finished my thrush and then padded up to greythroat...ok but can i ask dawnfrost if she wants to come?

Greythroat finished his vole and mewed "Of course." He went to go sit patiently by the camp entrance.

"You're leaving me here alone?" Nightkit mewed quietly as she stared out towards the forest fur bristling a little.

"Okay.." Nightkit mewed softly before going back into the nursery and looking around to see if any of the other kits were up.

Greytroat waited patiently as Rainpaw talked to Nightkit. She will make a good mentor. he thought with as he licked his shoulder.

i then bounded across to the warriors den padded softly inside and located dawnfrost....i shook her awake and silenced her with my tail. do you want to go hunting? i mewed softly

Nightkit
Nightkit walked out of the den after seeing the other kits were sleeping or doing other things and sneaked past Greythroat. She silently padded out of the camp and sniffed the air for the smell of prey. 'I don't want to wait to be an apprentice. I'll be safe for a little hunting. My attempt to get to go on partol with Rainpaw and Greythroat didn't work, so i'll just try a little hunting.' she thought as she hear the rustling of a small creature in the bush beside her. She crouched down and waited till the mouse came out into the open and then pounced. She bit the mouse before it could let out a squeal of terror. The she-kit purred as she looked at her own catch. "I can't wait till i can really hunt." she mewed softly.

i followed dawnfrost outside and then stopped...nightkit wasnt in the clearing and her scent led to the ravine...i followed it quickly and caught her with prey...what are you doing i bristled! causing her to drop her prey...i quickly made my fur lie flat and looked at her for and answer

Nightkit looked up shocked to see Rainpaw right there and dropped her mouse. "I was just hunting for a bit." she mewed as she avoided Rainpaw's gaze.
Greythroat
Greythroat followed Dawnfrost and Rainpaw outside and sat down. He realized he scented Nightkit and was about to go find the she-kit when he heard Rainpaw's question and waited patiently for Rainpaw to deal with Nightkit.

my gaze softened but then hardened again
you know that kits arent supposed to stray out of the camp i mewed fiercly
i then picked her up by the scruff and headed back to camp almost running into greythroat on my way
i curtly nodded to him and carried on dropping her gently by the fresh kill pile
what do you have to say for yourself? i said not as mad as before but stern enough
this kits almost as troublesome as me! i thought to myself

When the sun had rise and the rain let up, Firefang stood and streched. The elders would be up soon to bury Sandpelt, so the ginger tom said a final goodbye and looked up to Starclan. Are you up there? he asked silently. Not getting any sign, Firefang took a deep breath. Maybe she's just waiting for the elders. Starclan wouldn't abandon Sandpelt, the have no reason, he told himself calmly.

Nightkit mewed hot-tempered "I'm bored of staying in camp while everyone else fights and hunts. I'm old enough to become an apprentice. I want to help the clan." as Rainpaw picked her up by the scruff of her neck. She managed to grab her mouse before the apprentice carried her back to the camp and put her by the fresh kill pile.

Geythroat had to stop himself from purring with amusement as Rainpaw carried Nightkit ,who had a mouse in her mouth, back into camp.Nightkit will make a great warrior after she learns to follow the rules of the warrior code a bit. he thought as he moved out of Rainpaw's way before she ran into him.

well too bad i mewed after i dropped her
and you still have at least a moon left until then and it might be longer if you dont learn to follow rules.with that said i licked her between the ears and padded off to hunt.
(greythroat are you my mentor? im not sure but it would make sense soo if not do you want to be my mentor?)

Greythroat sat just outside the camp entrance. He was proud of his apprentice for handling the she-kit well. She'll make a great mentor.
he thought as he got up and stretched. He wasn't as young as he once was and his muscles got a bit stiff sometimes. His tail drooped a little at the thought of having to join the elders soon, but he knew it was for the best. Rainpaw will be my last apprentice. I was hoping to be Nightkit's mentor, but I'm a moon or two past joining the elders. Hopefully Rainpaw will mentor her. Nightkit needs a wise mentor. Rainpaw is not only skilled but also wise for a young cat. he thought as he padded a few steps out into the forest and sniffed the air for the scent of prey.
