Now we're coming to the apex within the past. We've watched the program turn rowan into a trusting girl into a devoted killer. We've watched the ethical drama of the project blue treason, and the incident at North Korea that exposed an even darker truth; a truth that Hammond and Rowan already know.

And we return to the present, where the NK11 team is now teaching, forcing divisions and loyaltys their way in a program designed to have the students clawing at each other like wolves in winter. Through power or presence, the students are placed in a pyramid of status with the only leveller being the arena.

The game, however is already Rigged. Rowan's selected her people, not exclusively based on skill and power, but by her own agenda. Meghan witnessed it, but it's likely her friendship has kept it quiet. But if there is to be an Alex/Laura level battle outside of the AbFam circle, it's going to be between these two friends.

Now, is the secret behind blue going to be eliminated by NK11, or brought to bear? Either way, the sacrifices within this game are presently wondering who's going to take whom to the dance.

Actually, it looks more like Hammond and Laura are in the know and Rowan and Meghan are being kept in the dark... every time they dismantle a place based on Project Blue, it's Laura and Hammond talking.

I like how the dialogue is going; it's revealing little details. In the talk between Fred and Wyndi, I'm not sure the part about Fred protecting Wyndi was necessary, though... it's kind of obvious, from where I'm sitting, by her behavior and scolding and Wyndi's blithe acceptance of it. In there, it just confirms what's already been shown.

I like how you keep weaving things in that are mysterious. The repetition of the Project Blue style site with now the indication there's something deeper going on, the inclusion of "class wars" for some of the people, and so on are good in terms of layers of complexity to muddy the water. I have a hunch not all Betas and Alphas regard their "status," as it were, in the same way, especially since it was said near the beginning that these classifications are fluid.

I'm guessing you're going to add more pressure and we'll see where things crack.

Oh, and you have two Vanov characters on your dramatis personae. While I wouldn't mind two Evan's running around Abberrant High, he might find it a little confusing. whee
