ChaosKnights puppylove713 Well, I wasn't always like that though. I used to try and blame anything but myself for bad grades. That changed over time though. I eventually learned that nobody was to blame but myself in most cases. However, there were the few cases that there was other things to blame and I wouldn't have been in the wrong. Yeah I had that experience. I got screwed by one of my classmates incompetence. The really messed up part was that I lossed points while my classmate got full marks. .

puppylove713 Wait how does that even work? Why did you lose points but they didn't? Isn't the point of a group assignment to work as a group and get the same score as everybody else regardless? Basically pass as a group or fail as a group. We were graded as a group and as individuals. To this day I still don't understand why I lost points for my classmate messing up their part.

Isn't the point of a group assignment to work as a group and get the same score as everybody else regardless? Basically pass as a group or fail as a group. We were graded as a group and as individuals. To this day I still don't understand why I lost points for my classmate messing up their part.

puppylove713 I'm not sure I understand it either. I have never had a teacher grade us individually for a group assignment either. It has always been as a group. Lucky for me, I have never failed a group assignment either. But that is only because I have been known to pick up the slack where other partners don't do their part. I don't want to lose points for them not doing their work. Luckily, I haven't ran into lazy teammates since I started college. IF anything, I was the lazy one in the group, but that doesn't mean I didn't do my work. I just didn't put as much effort into perfecting everything like the rest of my group mates. They didn't seem to care though because the work was done and was efficient enough to get us a good score. Then I pray you never have to go through that. Slackers in the group always makes things unbearably hard.

Yeah, I hate when they get that free ride after the hard work of everyone else. It kind of sucks you can't tell them off.
