Kai waved at Estrella as she brought two overloaded trays with her to the table where Layla and the other new ghouls were seated. He boggled a bit at the sheer amount of food she'd gotten. It was like seeing Roswell Gray back. Did all aliens have black holes for stomachs?
Kai had sat them next to Demona, even though he would have liked to sit with her alone. It wouldn't have been fair to abandon the new ghouls, or Layla.
"Sorry about this," He said to Demona quietly as Essi took her seat. "I kinda wanted to talk alone."
At any rate, it gave him a chance to do another grimtroduction, he figured.
"Ghouls, this is Demona. She spent a scaremester abroad and is going to be coming back to Monster High. She's, uh, she's great to ask any questions about the school, too!"
A thought struck Kai.
"Oh, I know Layla wanted to invite you ghouls to the Howliday Ball she's hosting at the Monster Embassy next week. There's going to be fancy dress, dancing...food..." Kai looked again at Essi's plate. "And a gift hexchange!"
Kai glanced at Demona. He raised his eyebrows a little bit to see how she'd react. After all, he hadn't asked anymonster to the ball yet...

Gryff fidgited slightly as he waited for his lunch creeppuccino delivery. Today it was going to have extra foam and a little cinnamoan sprinkled on top and he needed that to cut through the stench of the creepeteria's idea of "food." Certainly, the things the students were eating bared only the passing resemblance to cuisine and Gryff knew for a fact that none of the school's offerings were locally-sourced, goreganic or part of the New Nordic wave of cooking which Gryff was totally over anyway.
Gryff tried to focus, Lin was talking. Lin was always talking, usually enthusiastically, but this time the words "gears," "wires," "titanium alloy," "batteries," and "mild but totally not lethal explosion" were nowhere to be found.

Draconia stepped into the Creepateria, followed by Glen and Rory. She had wanted to ask Glen about the '13 first dates' he'd set up for her with different boos at school...but Glen's 'bowling' accident seemed to have knocked him for a loop. When she asked him about it, he'd just blinked at her confusedly. She decided to give him some time to recover before pressing him.
The thing she wanted to know, was this: Glen had grimterviewed several different boos in the school in the hopes of finding some nice, safe and fun dates for his dragon beastie following her break-up with Manny Taur. He had settled on 13 different boos. So far, Draconia had done two of the dates: one with Lin McGearloch and one with Skelletorrence Keldor. Although both had been...interesting...neither was really much of a love connection.
Draconia knew that Harry Herne was on the '13 First Dates' list. However, whenever she had tried to speak with Harry before, he always acted very strange...sort of panicky and and overly eager to get away from her. She had a sneaking suspicion he didn't like her very much. A true date with him seemed like a rather bad idea.
And then she'd gone and drawn his name for the Howliday Ball gift hexchange! She really knew so little about Harry; what did Glen know about him that made him think Harry would be a good dating match for her? That's when the idea of going on a date with him to the SKRM match came to her...it would be a low-pressure, highly public place to fang out, and if things didn't go well, they could just sit back and enjoy the game. After all, Harry DID seem like a fan of SKRM - didn't she see him running out onto the track right before the big accident? This seemed like a hexcellent opportunity to get to know him and figure out what gift to give him for Cryptmas!
Draconia scarefully walked over to the table that Harry was seated at. He was dressed hextremely nicely, in a neatly pressed suit. Goodness, he took the last day of classes seriously!
"*Ahem*" Draconia politely cleared her throat, trying to get Harry's attention. He seemed very intent in his concentration on his hummus lunch and didn't respond.
Draconia hopped up and down on the balls of her foot-claws a bit, hoping the motion would catch his eye. No such luck as Harry glumly chewed a hunk of bread.
"Erm...Harry? Hello, Harry!" Draconia tried again, speaking up a bit this time. Her hand-claws were clasped behind her back and her wings fluttered a bit to get his attention.
