Sodain smirked a bit. "Who said I was trying to tempt Kuri? Just because trying to get his to drink my blood by telling him it was his private stock which has not existed in this tower for over 100 years. Though dragon's blood can be addictive to a vampire in normal doses, a small glass is harmless, And I am not tempting him with my body. He is making that painfully obvious by not taking a second glance towards me." Sodain said setting the glass down.

Turning away from the room and went over to the painting that looks just like Sodain did in that form sighing. "Now who messed your portrait up Mother." Sodain said fixing the painting then looked to it for a moment then hung his head walking off sighing as Sodain went to the kitchen walking past the other few expedition team swishing his dragon tail.

Niados sighed. "Hey since when did I have a saddle.... Oooh you put it on my in my sleep didn't you." He glared not budging an inch for the moment.

Sodain was cooking an assortment of food in large quantity looking over his shoulder still in his dragon form seeing the expedition team. "You hungry or just curious about me?" Sodain said in a soft and honey voice of a female swishing her tail lightly teasingly at them as he cooked food.

Niados was about to say something about not being a beast of burden. "I resent being called lazy i'm not but you think I am so I purposely act like it around you. And i'm not.... Yipes!" he jumped getting missed by lightning and took off swiftly.

Sodain smirked a bit. "Oh come now. I been beside you all the time until you went to bed, I been leading you from the start of the expedition, I am as you see me in my true form. Though I have more feminine qualities in this form. I tend to end up the opposite in a human form. I am still Sodain though I look alot like my own mother Sonja whose portrait is on the third floor." He said giggling as he watched them having a large feast on the counter much like the morning they set out from the hunting lodge when they procured Olira. "Though this is my real dragon form. I can take a form like that in books of myth about dragons when fighting. This is my non-combat dragon form." Sodain said.

Niados growled. "I did help you out though I was in my human form, You remember that little red haired girl you beat up for sniping someone you wanted to eat? Yeah that was me in my human form. Since then I just let you do everything the way you want so not to get into a fight specially when I take human form when I have less a chance to defend myself physically." He huffed then slid to a halt at a gat so quick he threw Arosa from the saddle but because of the ropes she only landed on his head.

Sodain blinked raising a brow. "What makes you think I would try hitting on you just because I look like this. I for one just see you as friends nothing else so you don't have to worry about that. Besides... I have someone in mind already and it's not any of you. Even though it seems the person I got my eye on doesn't feel the same way about me as I feel about them." Sodain said shrugging glancing downwards a bit accidentally burning three pancakes a little tossing them into a large food dish on the floor. taking one of the trays of food to the table incase they wanted to eat, having milk, juice, wine, coffee, tea to choose from for them. The stove turned off Sodain then takes the other stack with him to a balcony patio shielded from rain and sat there beginning to eat his mountain of food.

Niados blinked looking at her. "So you didn't used to have blonde hair then? I could have sworn when I met that woman I could swear she was called Rosile. Thats not your name?" Niados thought a bit looking at Arosa. "Hmm I wonder why you have similar looks to that person I met 8 thousand years ago if your not her." He said snorting before a man opened the gate. "oh my travelers in this weather? come in before you catch your death young lady. Roberta! Get this lizard in the barn your good with these things better then me. And be quick to not let it get too cold!"

The man said being the gate keeper and owner of the inn. A young girl about age 18 came running. "Yes sir! Sorry sir I wasn't aware anyone would arrive in this." she said covering herself with a rain coat holding a odd spiky fruit before Niados petting his nose. "It's okay fella you must be hungry and cold." she fed Niados the fruit and pulled the reins lightly holding another which was dragon fruit. A treat to all reptiles and he easily followed the girl into the barn.

The inn master laughed a little. "Oh no here they are mostly used for racing, you see this is one of the larger towns, of course there are some places that other more darker forms of entertainment are found and not exactly any of them really legal, but they really are not hidden either. But here its more of you see what is most adaptable to the tasks people have, Some you elephants for heavy lifting and pulling. Others use horses just to look richer then they are. But I think you will see more lizard mounts around this town then in others." He said softly getting her some towels and blankets to wrap up in and setting Arosa by the fire "Here at least you can warm yourself by the fire while a room is readied for you. So you can change into dry clothing if you have any. If not my wife will take your sizes and find you something until your clothing is dry at least." He said smiling softly.

Roberta put Niados in a stall eyeing that cuff oddly blinking at it she touched it and the cuff popped open spooking her. But had fully dried off Niados and got him a bucket of dragon fruit and chunks of raw meat. "oh look how handsome you are. Sorry about your cuff it looks like it fell apart. I hope this will do for you until the storms over at least." She said softly running her hand along his neck removing the saddle and hanging it up inside the stall. She watched him admiring him. "I have to say your different then other lizards I seen. I swear it seems you understand everything I say." She said admiring him unaware of what he was really.

Sodain sighed staring out at the sky. "Great that looks to be one hell of a rain storm heading this way." Sodain said frowning as his breakfast was done in a few minutes. He sat there a moment longer then carried his dishes to the kitchen. Sighing a bit he pushed a wall inward and revealed a secret room slipping inside of it.

Sodain inside the secret passage had opened the tower wide communication system. "Everyone listen up, there is a massive storm heading this way. Anyone near a window or with a window in sight needs to not look out of it for the next few minutes. I am activating this towers storm protection system. and there will be a series of bright flashes outside." Sodain said and Olira hurried inside cowering in Sodain's room the front doors close and seal shut as the tower began shaking and turning.

Spinning faster and faster it would seem though it wasn't really felt by those inside the tower as bright blues, whites, reds, and orange flashes began to flash once the tower got to spinning really fast then out of the blue lava from the volcano seemed to shoot up arching over the tower harding then one solid flash occured as the tower stopped spinning and the flash faded. After the tower stopped fans started spinning and a invisible barrier covered the open parts of the balconey. It seemed fresh air was flowing in from the fans and lantern things started glowing on the walls and ceilings. "Okay everyone can continue as they was doing. Except no one will be ging outside as this place is now sealed to protect the tower and everyone inside from the class 15 storm rolling in." Sodain said coming out of the secret room closing the wall behind him and went walking around checking everything was working properly.

The Innkeeper smiled again. "Oh the races are held 3 times a day at the arena in the center of town. it's the biggest building here. Even has a dome so in storms like this the races are not stopped. Though in three days someone is going to be holding a week long contest there. The building looks like records showing of ancient coliseums but with modern touches." He said to her.

Sodain hugged Lita softly. "I know and i'm sorry about it. But it is how to get the lava barrier up to take the brunt force of this storm instead of it rocking the tower and maybe sucking us out the windows. At least the removing the stone barrier does not require the tower to spin." Sodain said softly. Sodain took a small tray of food to the lower medical room to check on the other member of the expedition team the one with the latent shadow powers. Seeing the process was finished he freed and tried awakening him.

Niados shook his leg the cuff was attached to it crumbled apart the gem stone the only thing still intact. Niados smirked turning sitting looking at the girl. no one else was around and so he spoke. "Thank you that cuff was rather bothersome. and it will be our secret but I can talk and can understand everything you say." Niados smirked watching her.

Roberta blinked tilting her head. "Some reason I'm not as shocked as I should be hearing you able to speak. I kinda expected just how easy it seemed you understood me." But then Roberta shrieked as a loud crashing sound shook the barn. the storm picking up greatly a tree fell blocking the doors. Roberta shook trembling never having liked storms. Niados pulled the girl close into the stall with his tail and cooed and seemed to sing in a way of reptilian sounds which seemed to calm Roberta. He lay down and partly covered the girl cuddling up to her like a reptilian teddy bear.

The inn keeper spoke softly. "dunno, something about the magister of the archlight holding a competition to see if a champion of some kind can be found. Or something along those lines." He shrugged a bit. "I don't really pay much attention to things like that." he said then jumped hearing the loud crash looking outside he sighed. "great looks like that ancient tree outside blew over in front of the only door to the barn. Gonna have to wait till this storm passes to get help clearing the door." The innkeeper said. "Hopefully Roberta was still inside the barn when it fell over. Or else the force of wind that could knock that huge stone tree over like that would have blown that little wench away."
