The convulsions were violent. It was shocking that Sebastian didn't break his neck by the odd ways he was being forced to move it. Then a white and yellow foam escaped Sebastian's mouth. "Jesus." Boothe breathed out. He was weakening; his muscles exceedingly sore from restraining him. Boothe suddenly looked up. "Selia, no!" he warned. He raised an arm to stop her, practically forgetting about Sebastian. Painful groans screeched from Sebastian's throat. "No, no!" Boothe yelled at himself. He restrained him once more. "We woke him up," he frowned "now he can feel the pain. From every crack in his bones to every tear of the muscles and tendons." he pushed his forehead on his shoulder to wipe off the grime. "I don't know if he'll be able to live now." he choked out.

Boothe' comment silenced Selia, her arms extinguishing. The rain picked up, sizzling on her scorched and blistered skin and memories burned in her mind, coming into focus then melting into ashes. A flash of her vision passed into her mind, showing the five races together. "Sebastian... you will make it." She barely whispered, sinking into unconsciousness from the pain of her arms. A slight blur above her appeared, looking almost like Selia, but with red hair. Selia's mother cradled her daughter and smiled at Boothe. "You can do this Boothe. I know you can." The apparition of the lost queen and love melted into the rain, leaving only a slight echo of her voice behind.
Ryan released Selia and took hold of Sebastian's shoulders and neck and held, hoping to keep his neck from snapping. "Boothe.. What are.. we... supposed to... do to help..?" Ryan said, his jaw clenched from the force he was exerting on Sebastian's convulsing body. "Damn now would be a good time to Valik to wake up.." Ryan gritted his teeth as Sebastian's violent convulsions rocked through his arms and into his back. He whipped his head around as he heard Selia's mother, but only saw her dissipate into the air.

Boothe froze. He reached out to her, only for her to disappear. He sat in awe for a few moments, then regained focus. He turned to wake Valik, but Valik had disappeared. "Dammit!" he screamed. Boothe pulled up a patch of moss and wiped the saliva and foam from Sebastian's mouth. Boothe began sobbing, shaking his head slowly. "I don't know what to do," he cried. Just then, Valik came bursting from the bushes again, with bottles in his hand. Without a word, Boothe backed up from Sebastian. Valik opened the bottles and poured one into Sebastian's wound. The next, a black liquid, into his mouth. Valik shuttered for a moment. "Oh, bloody hell." he breathed out. He had poured the wrong medicine into his mouth. He frantically grabbed another bottle, the right one, and poured it into his mouth. He threw the bottles down and lifted Sebastian's head to help him swallow. After a few minutes, Sebastian slowly stopped convulsing. Though he twitched slightly. Valik released him and stared. "Open your eyes, dammit." he mumbled. Boothe now sat next to his brother, waiting for Sebastian. Finally, Sebastian opened his eyes and coughed violently. Valik turned him onto his side and patted his back. Once calming down, Sebastian lay on his back again. He looked at Valik with glossy eyes. "Thank you." he said weakly. Valik forced a smile. He had no idea what the consequences would be for Sebastian, since Valik had given him the wrong medicine at first. Boothe pulled Sebastian into a hug and held him for a few minutes. "I thought I had lost you." he whispered. Then he released Sebastian.

Selia woke as her mother cradled her, and watched as Valik, Boothe, and Ryan helped Sebastian. Standing up, Selia came to the four boys and kissed Sebastian on the cheek as she embraced him. "We all did." She whispered, shaking slightly from the pain that flamed up in her arms and seeing her mother. She smelled the medicine Valik used, and crinkled her nose. It smelled acrid and pungent, like strong alcohol and licorice. Releasing Sebastian, Selia looked at Valik, then at Boothe. "Who's this?" She asked timidly, slightly intimidated by his neko appearance.
Ryan let out a shaky laugh as Sebastian came back to life and began speaking, only to stop abruptly as Selia kissed him. "Urm.." Ryan sighed as he stood, wishing the two would just get everything over with. He walked over to Valik and patted his shoulder. "You saved him." Ryan whispered incredulously, shocked by the ability Valik, Boothe, and Sebastian had to stay alive. "How did you know though?"

Sebastian lay motionless on the ground. He smiled shyly when Selia kissed him. Boothe stared at Selia's mother with glossy eyes. He wondered if he was imagining things. Valik looked at Selia with a raised eyebrow. Boothe sighed. "This is Valik. He's my brother." he replied. Then he turned to Valik and embraced him. "I'm sorry." he whispered to him. "And if it wasn't for you, Sebastian would be gone." he then kissed his brother's cheek and released him. He continued to gaze at Selia's mother with an unsure glance. Sebastian sat up and rolled his shoulders. The medicine for his wound was kicking in quickly. He looked up at the canvas covered sky, noticing the rain had stopped and the sun was coming out. "It's about 6 a.m.," he said, judging by the sun, "Let's make our way to the next town. We need supplies and food." he then slowly stood, careful not to hurt himself in the process.

Selia saw Boothe's stare. "I see her too." She whispered, coming up behind him and placing a slender hand on his shoulder. She turned and looked at Sebastian, hands behind her back. Serious and affection mixed into one emotion in her features. "Well what direction do you think we should go?" Selia asked, looking up at the sky. Dawn turned the remaining clouds rose and gold, and the sky a brilliant blue.
Ryan nodded as Selia asked Sebastian where they would be going. "I think we should head east maybe. We would be in a town in only 6 hours or so if we don't run into any trouble." He said, walking to his horse and bringing it over.

Boothe's mouth gaped open a bit. He was in such shock and awe for words. Her beauty sent chills throughout his body. He never thought he'd see her again. No, he knew. Until now; his knowledge had completely been switched around. Sebastian bit his cheek in thought. "East is our best bet. North is that bloody castle, and the villages west were probably the machines' first targets." he nodded to Ryan and whistled after his horse. He managed to get on by himself. Boothe's horse came trotting up next to Sebastian's. "Boothe!" he called after him.

Selia looked at Boothe and smiled. "Well say something to her. It's rude to stare, and we can't stay much longer." She whispered, giving his arm a quick squeeze as she brushed past him and into the woods beyond Sebastian. Looking back, she gave him another reassuring smile and then ran, letting her energy work through out her body, warmth spreading through her limbs. Stopping at the edge of the woods, Selia stopped and sat, staring at the horizon. Hills dotted the landscape, as well as smoke columns far beyond what she could see.
Ryan mounted his horse and began a slow careful trot behind Selia, quickly losing her as she began to run. He chuckled, shaking his head lightly. "Well at least it's a fresh start." He said to himself, remembering the fights that had broken out lately.

Sebastian smiled at Boothe, knowing now who she was. He cracked at the reigns, and the horse began trotting with Ryan's. Sebastian coughed harshly but quickly regained his composure. Boothe let out a breath. "I," he slowly began, "I never thought I'd see you again." hot tears formed in his large eyes. He bit his lip before speaking again. He gulped hard. "After all of these years." he took in a breath to keep in the tears. "Why didn't you come back sooner?" then, unable to keep away, he pulled her into an embrace. Boothe pet her silky hair like he used to when she was upset, or when he saw her for the first time in awhile.

Selia's mother smiled against Boothe's chest. "I'm trapped here with my body. I tried," She gasped through tears, catching her breath as her throat closed with adoration and longing. "I tried so hard to find a way to get to Selia and find you." She whispered, letting her head rest on Boothe's chest. Looking up, she rest her hand on his cheek. "And now I got to see you both." She said, tears welling up in her opaque crystalline blue eyes.
Ryan gave Sebastian a questioning look. "First, are you okay? Besides the obvious arm injury." He chuckled quietly, but regained his seriousness. "And who was that woman?" Ryan whispered, jerking his head back in the direction of Boothe and Scarilive's former queen.

Sebastian forced a smile, and nodded. "Yes, yes, I'm fine," he reassured huskily. "And that," he paused to look over at the two, "is Selia's mother." he added. It was a miracle. Resurrections and visible spirits were many a rare. Especially in this world.
Boothe smiled at his love, glossy eyes sparkling. He placed his hand on hers. He took in a breath. "And now we'll always be here." he spoke with a new tone. A tone that had found what it had been longing for, missing, hoping for for quite some time. "Come with us." he said as he took her hand in his and walked towards the horses, forgetting about the pain in his leg completely.

(uhm im going to call selia's mom seriena okkie?)
Seriena's arm evaporated as Boothe pulled her. "Boothe.. I can't. My body was never truly sent away. Selia's father sent his troops to just dump it here to rot. The trees gave me life in them, letting my body go peacefully." Tears from the painful memory and the sadness that gripped her heart filled her eyes. Taking a step back, Seriena's arm regenerated. "But I'll always be here in this forest." She whispered with a sad smile, cradling Boothe's face in her graceful hands and kissing him softly. "You have to go with them. But you can always come back."
Ryan nodded with understanding and sudden realization. "No wonder she looks so much like Selia." He said, placing his head in his palm and smiling at his own blind stupidity. Coming to the edge of the forest, he saw Selia sitting calmly on the ground. Moss still wound around rib cage and blood still matted her hair. Whether it was her's was uncertain. Blood also wrapped around Ryan, from his own scrapes and Sebastian's shoulder. Ryan scratched the back of his head as he thought about what to say, and finally he just jumped down from the horse and offered his hand to Selia. "It's not right for you and Valik to walk. You are a girl after all." He said, smiling cockily.
Selia raised an eyebrow at Ryan's comment. "Girl or not, we both know who would win in a fight. I don't mind walking." She said, taking his hand and pulling herself up. Taking another piece of fabric from her tunic, or what remained of it, she tied up her hair and smiled. "Thank you for the offer though." Selia said, turning to the forest to wait for the others.

Boothe's happy expression immediately wiped from his face and he went pale. He stared into her eyes for a few moments, taking in the hurtful information. Then, he gave her a wet kiss on the lips, hands on her cheeks, and looked at her seriously. "I will come back." he promised. With that, he jogged off to the horses and hopped on. "Let's go." he said. As he began trotting off, he looked back at Seriena and gave a reassuring smile. Then he faced forward.
Sebastian's horse walked next to Selia. "Hop on with me." he said plainly. He offered his hand and leaned out to her. Valik was just behind Sebastian. He was mumbling prayers to the goddess in which the elves believed of. "Forgive me." he said as he finished the prayer.

Selia smiled shyly and took Sebastian's hand, pulling herself onto the horse with ease. Wrapping her arms carefully around his waist, Selia sighed. "So just a few hours and we'll be there?" She asked, not really addressing anyone in particular. She was more focused on the warmth her hands felt on Sebastian's torso, and the slow and steady beat she felt in her fingertips from his heartbeat. Smiling to herself, Selia laid her carefully against Sebastian's back and closed her eyes, feeling the rising sun soak into her skin.
Ryan looked back into the forest as Boothe started his way out. "Is she not coming?" He asked quietly, then noticed Valik. "You want to ride instead?" He said, offering the reigns to him.

Sebastian gritted his teeth as pain shot up through his arm. He let out a breath and looked forward, feeling himself blush from her holding him. "Yeah, just a few hours. Six tops." he replied with a slight nod. Boothe now made his way up to the group. He loosely held the reins in his rough hands. Boothe shook his head. "It's okay," he sighed. "I'll be coming back for her." he still stared forward at the pink sky.
Valik's face flushed, embarrassed because Ryan might have heard him praying. He shook his head quickly and kept walking. Boothe frowned. He still wasn't talking. Boothe leaned slightly and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. When Valik looked up at him, Boothe gave him a smile. Valik just looked away, and Boothe sat back up with a quiet sigh.
