Shera wiggled wildly and squealed as loudly as the little pup could. "Auntie Auntie!" She screamed, "Please stop!" She could hardly stop her giggling.
Miluiel walked up beside Azrael. "Be good kids." She said with a wink. "I know that you will be good, make us proud and have fun. Do a nice job on Auntie Shana's tent, okay." She said walking forward to snuggle both children before she hurried back to Azrael. Her stomach growled slightly but she shook it away. She could eat soon.

Mazzia laughed and put Shera down. "Alright little one, down you go." She told her. She looked off at Azrael and Miluiel as they went off. "Have a good time you two." Sighing, Mazzia laid her head on Veral's shoulder for a moment. Soon they would be wed too.
Azrael smiled at his wife, as his own stomach began to rumble a bit. "Alright, my love. Let's get hunting!" He said to her as he started to trot off toward the deeper forest.
Veral looked down at Shinn and Shera and smiled. "Alright, you two time to get to work. Before we start on our new topic, lets go over what we were doing in our last lesson. And what was it that we were doing?" He asked.
"You told us how to call up our Spirit Fires!" Shinn barked excitedly.
Veral smiled and nodded. "Good! Now call up your fires." He said to the two pups.
Shinn held his paw-like hand out, palm up and shut his eyes to find his center. He found it and tapped into it, and when he opened his eyes found a brilliant blue green flame dancing on his paw.

"I'm fine Logain" Ain replied. The shade snorted "He needs to go feed on a human soon, your blood was a little rich and if he doesn't become dependent on it, it can probably kill him" He said. Ain glared at his shade who stuck it's tongue at him in reply

Shera flipped over onto her four paws and panted until she could get her breath back. She loved her aunt dearly, and her soon to be uncle, she loved to be with them.
Shera watched Shinn as he summoned the fires to his hands. She mimiled the actions and came out with a small puff of smoke. Too excited to be concentrating much she barked, "So when are we going to begin today's lesson?"
Miluiel nodded. She was close enough to Azrael to hear the light rumble of hunger in his belly. "Yes, let us go hunting!" She barked and ran a couple steps to catch up to her husband. Once she was shoulder to shoulder with him she began to trot along at an easy pace.

Veral chuckled. "Soon little one." He said to Shera. "Now, first you'll need to calm down a bit. You'll need to keep your head on if we're going to get to the learning the new topic." He said to her gently, and giving her a gentle tap on the head. Mazzia lay down behind Veral smiling at her niece and nephew as they went about their lessons.
Azrael nodded to his wife and smiled, before sniffing the air and turning his head on the direction he caught a sent from. "I think I have a good scent from over their. Let us check it out." He said to her as he lead Miluiel into the direction that the scent was coming from.

Shera breathed quickly for a moment then she closed her eyes and held her breath. She was trying to slow her breathing, but that only sped up her heart. She decided to breath slowly in and out. She calmed herself. Now focusing on her paw. She focused her energy there and slowly but surly a small flame of a light maroon appeared in her paw. She tried not to breath on it for fear that she will put it out.
Miluiel trotted along beside Azrael keeping pace with him. Lifting her snout into the air she too could smell something ahead of them. "Do you think this is the prey we were hoping for Azrael dear?" She asked softly making sure she kept her voice down so she would not alert the prey.

Azrael raised his head and sniffed a few more times. "I believe so. But in any hunt, it is always best to stalk the prey, before marking it. That way we can see if it is what we are hoping for." Said as continued toward the underbrush where he caught the scent from.
"Very good, Shera!" Veral said, holding his own hand out, producing a teardrop shaped flame that seemed to be both white and black but never quite either. "Now that we have reviewed what we learned last time, lets put our flames away and begin today's lesson. We're going to be learning how to create barriers to protect ourselves and others." He told them his flame disappearing, and giving the cubs a few moments to put the flames away and gather themselves for the lesson.
Shinn's flame soon disappeared and he looked toward his little sister as he prepared for the lesson.

Miluiel nodded, she had been hunting since she had asked Azrael to change her into the werewolf she was. She was still learning more about it every time Azrael came out with her. She loved that about him. He was a wonderful coach! "Then stalk we shall. Come dearest, let's see what we are following."
Shera watched in amazement. "How did you do that?" She asked, "How did you get it to that color and that shape?" She listened to him talk about the new lesson, but she still wanted to know the answer to her question. "That sounds very fun!" She exclaimed, "But how did you get your flame to be like that?" Shera asked stepping on her flame to put it out.

Veral chuckled softly and let the flame float upward out of his hand, before laying his other hand on Shera's shoulder. "That is the natural shape and color of my spirit flame. That color is the color of my soul. If you let yourself go and allow the flame to take its own shape and color, then it will take on its true appearance." He explained to her, but giving Shinn a quick look that he too should listen to what was being said. "As you bring out your flame, just let it go in its own, let your spirit move into it and it shall come into its own being." He said to them.
Smiling, Azrael led Miluiel toward the scent in a quick but quiet manner. He did not want to scare off the prey before reaching it. Eventually he found a bush that was close to the where the source of the scent was. Being careful not to make too much noise, Azrael stuck his snout through the foliage and saw that a deer was indeed there, alone and nosing through some of the leaves that had fallen that fall and pre-spring and winter plants.

"Is that why my flame was purple?" She asked. "Is that my color, but I was not free enough with it that it only took a fire shape?" She looked at her paw, wishing to try again. If she really had half of it down then perhaps it would not be hard to get the rest.
Miluiel followed Azrael up till the point where he stopped. She then stopped also before she got too close to the bushes. This was where Azrael shown, he was very quiet, and Miluiel, doing this, had scared away many of their prey. Sh waited for a signal before she made any other moves.

"Don't worry about it right now, little Shera." Veral told her giving her a pat on the head. "Your flame changes as you get older, and besides, it is nothing to worry about."
Shinn nodded and looked up at Veral. "How much does it change?" He asked his teacher and Uncle-to-be.
Veral chuckled. "It is different for every person, Shinn. No one can truly know." He shared with his two pupils.
Azrael backed out of the bushes a bit and looked at Miluiel. He nodded to signal her that he was going to make the first mover, and that Miluiel would be preventing the dear's escape. After that, he bared his teeth and then leaped over the bushes to the front of the deer. The deer reered in surprise but seemed immobilized in fear, giving Miluiel plenty of time to get into position.

Shera nodded though she felt slightly saddened. She wanted to know if she was getting anywhere close to what he was talking about. "So it might just look like a flame forever?" Shera asked sadly. She wanted hers to be unique, not just some silly flame.
Miluiel raced, leaping over the bush to cover the other side of the deer. She growled knowing her job was important. She would keep the deer from running out on her and her husband. But she would leave the attack to Azrael.

The deer turned to run away but made a sound of fright when it saw Miluiel blocking its escape. Taking advantage of the creature's distraction, Azrael lunged at the animal's opening and nipped at the hamstrings of it's back legs. The deer fell, and Azrael quickly pounced at the throat, so as to end the beasts suffering quickly. After felling the deer, Azrael got off of his fallen prey and whispered into its ear. "Thank, for letting me take for my sustenance and that of my mate." He said, sounding solemn and thankful, and then raised his head into a howl. The howl was a prayer of thanks to the Great Mother, for letting him take one of her creatures and wishing that the creature's spirit be reborn again as something greater, for its sacrifice.
Veral moved next to Shera and sat down. "There is no reason to be sad, little Shera. You flame will be unique, and no one else will have a flame like yours. You flame will be beautiful and stand out from all others, I promise you that." He told her reassuringly. "Here I'll even show you that yours is already different, even now. Call out your flame and show you it doesn't just look like a regular old flame."

Miluiel stepped forward closer to the prey. She rose her long, sleek snout into the air and howled right along with Azrael. This was a gift for the both of them from the Great Mother. Watching the kill she felt the pain of death, but that was part of the experience. It was a gift from above, she would never dishonor that.
"Okay Uncle Veral." Shera said softly. She concentrated again on the power within her and finding it she pulled it into her hands. The flame had taken on a purplish tone. The flames curved like they had every other time, but they seemed to be rounder, as if they could possibly take on a shape one day.

Veral smiled and gestured to the fire in the center of the room. "You see? Even now, when you are so young, your flame is much different from that of any other, it has already begun to take shape. That is quite special." He told the little cub, smiling at her.
Azrael looked at the prey beneath him and then turned to his wife and smiled. "Would like to begin?" He asked Miluiel, his stomach growling, but knowing that she was just as hungry as he was and that in Garoh tribe custom he had been raised to defer to the female.
