She was still making the motions of tapping with her fingers until she realized that Erik had taken it and her gaze flew to him, even as her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "Sorry..." She nodded and studied her nails for a moment then glanced back up, "I know, I'm worried and I shouldn't be. After all Dr. Camp won't let anything happen to her but...what if something does go wrong?" Lillia shook her head.
She stepped across the room and picked up a clipboard detailing the vital signs and began to study the screen, checking things off, monitoring others and writing changes that had caught her attention for detailed research and study later. "I can't lose Jelly Erik...she's a lot more to me than just my boss and I know you feel the same way and I know she's everything to you and all that but it's just not enough. I know I'm being silly, just never mind. I'll get back to work...." she gave Erik a watery smile, her hands clenched so her knuckles were white on the clipboard.

He clapped her on the back, that turned into a soothing rubbing motion. "Hey now, if you think bad things are going to happen, bda things will happen. I've gone through this with her once before. She'll turn into a she-demon the moment she comes too seeing as she always comes up from anestesia fighting, and then she's just cranky from bed rest, but I think that's the worst thing that will happen."
Taking her chilp board from her, with some difficulty, he turned her around and pushed her out of the room and down to another, taking out two cases from the little echo med bay. "We have things to do that you need to focus on." And a dart gun taken down from it's cabinet. "It's shot time again."

She wanted to tell him that her father had only gone in for a brief checkup and almost died and he had been in very capable hands as well. But she didn't, she merely nodded and turned back to work.
But Erik had other ideas as he pulled her clipboard away much to her dismay and pushed her out of the room. "Where are we-" She cut off as soon as he started pulling out the dart gun and the cases. "But Erik..." She shook her head, she hated shot time. Her lips pursed and she crossed her arms. "It can't be that time already, we just did it like...a month ago."

"Regiment. They started into a three month long session last month, remember? After these three we leave them alone for six and then do another three. And yes you can do this...you need to get used to doing it. Not like you're hurting them. The darts themselves have a pain killer nano in them." A case was shoved to her and rifle slung over his shoulder.
And he left the room, other case in his hand. "You'll eventually not think about it anymore and just do it. Besides, might as well get them, for chip scans while they're done, check things out. Besides, it will keep your mind off of Trevy."

Not at all looking forward to the task ahead she took the case shoved at her and followed him, glaring at the gun slung over his shoulder. Nope, not thrilled at all. Shuffling along after him, she wandered into the Echo area and glanced at the enclosures.
Shooting the Echoes. Oh yes, her idea of a great time alright. But taking her mind off Jelena it would indeed do. She glanced at Erik with that six year old pouty look on her face and sighed, "Just do it already. Hurting them or not, she still didn't like it and yes, she had to get used to it but she could probably get Erik to do it for her this time....

"Oh come now, it's not that bad. And you know we only dart the more agressive ones. We can walk into most and give shots without problems. Shall we start with small and furry and move up from there?" Sounded like a good idea to him after all and he started to lead her to enclosures, administring vaccinations easily on smaller or more docile echoes.
OF course when they got to the bigger things, the rifle had to be used then. First off, dragons. "Okay, if you really don't want to do it then I'll do it...though you're doing at least two." Thus he aimed. Taking down the four six foot dragons. "Hurry up then."

Jessica took care of her team, and making sure james was well and sedated, before walking over to Camp.
"How's Jelena? anything we might be able to help with, while the sleeping giant recovers from his usual new memory upgrade trauma?"

He looked up to Jessica with a smile. "I think I'm good. She'll be fine bodily wise, things seem to be reacting nicely. Though she's not going to be happy at all. This is a completely different make of wires and what not...signals are weak. Thus she's not going to be able to get up and go as soon as she wakes up, unfotunately."
Though he didn't look worried by it, she would just be creepy. And a look over to James. "And him?" Another check at Jelena, deciding that it was okay to let her sedatives wear off and what not now. Therefore, he gently rolled her back over, though kept monitoring equipment on her.

Yes she knew that but it didn't change things, she still didn't want to do it. Though she knew better than to smile when Erik agreed to not make her, with the exception of two and she could probably get out of those two if she tried hard enough.
So off they went injecting the various Echoes starting with the small, furry ones. Of course they all got treats afterward. Lillia was a firm believer in treating them right. A child got a lollipop after going to the doctor, why shouldn't the Echoes get a little something to make the pain bearable too. Whether it was true pain or not was entirely beside the point. But on up until they reached the dragons. "I'm coming, I'm coming." Dragons were vaccinated and then she looked at him, "What's next?"

"He'll be fine. He always has a bad reaction to memory upgrades. since he has no memory part of his brain, when we do an upgrade, he basically gets to relive his entire life in about five to thirteen seconds. He's had some very bad experiences, and he tends to lash out. and his eyepiece interface upgrade should go smoothly. no real ugrade, just a newer model."
Though a look at Jelena.
"What about some nanos designed for signal boost? we had to to that to Rennel once after a mishap. damn catalyst...he was flying to a tech area in the upper regions of radiance, being his normal self..power goes out, the force of the jets in gravity is way to much without. crashed. damaged a lot of wiring, so we used nanos while we replaced them to keep the signals strong."

"We'll just go up and up the size scale." Which was pretty much what they did, with little mishaps on Erik's part in between. Hey he was a good tech but had the habit of trying to go in before drugging took it's full effect. He was over zealous at his job sometimes some would say.
But then they got to Readon. And he handed over the rifle to her. Yes he expected the perytons to be one of her two. Why? She had bult a repore with Readon, so she knew he would forgive her easier. "Well...get on with it. It's really not as hard as you think it is."
"Sounds particularly traumatic." Though from what he knew of James, he seemed the trooper type and able to come otuon top of it despite old haunts of the past. "I must say if that's a case, you are quite esteemed in your field then, Jessica."
And his look went to Jelena. "Catalyst, that's the energy project right? All I ever hear of is thier mishaps." Though he seemed intrigued by the mention of those specific nanos. "Well if it's all bioware and wire affecting only then I may be inclined to give it a try. It may be too much for her, her systems are designed in a rather delicate way." You could do that when you designed your own biowear and what not. "Good idea though Jessica, thank you."

She took it from him slowly, "I know, I've done it before, I jsut don't like doing it." She glanced at Raedon for a moment, whispered, "I'm sorry." Then she lifted the rifle and took aim, hesitating for only the briefest second before she shot and dropped the peryton, then went into the enclosure and administered the vaccine to him.
Shoving the rifle back at Erik, she took care of Raedon, soothing herself by petting him and giving words of encouragment before finally standing up, brushing herself off and looked at Erik, "Who's next then?"

"One of the best. James handpicked this team."
A slight chuckle.
"that's because they haven't done anything else yet. they are getting close in some areas to using plasma to replace most conventinal space related fuelings. rather than electric and solar power. but they haven't worked it completely out yet."
Then back to serious.
"Yes, it's strictly boiware and wiring. see Rennel has that particular disease..damned if I can ever remember the name...that when he bleeds, he doesn't stop. his blood doesn't clot like it's supposed to. his bioware helps regulate and maintain thousands of nanos to do precisly that. so if it goes bad, and he gets cut, it can be fatal. which is why they were designed. it lets us operate on him without risking him getting killed every time. there's still a big risk, but it's gone from almost certainly fatal to extremely dangerous."

"You get to help me take down the pack." The Fenrirs of course. Problem with those guys was that they did indeed have wolf pack mentalitty. And cubs. So there were two problems. Where Jelena was accepted 'indirect pack leader' him and everyone else wasn't so welcomed. Take down one and the rest took offence.
Thus a walk to the enclosure before he grabbed another hand held dart gun that was specifically assigned to the enclosure. "Got four big ones and two little ones to put down. They need to be all put down before going in. Hit alphas first and move down the ranks." Hand gun and darts were given back to her.
"Energy never was the easiest field to go into at all. I remember hating even my schooling courses in it." He shook his head lightly, oh the horror of that class. It took a rather hard to frustrate scientist to enter into that field as a career. You couldn't pay him to do it, personally.
"Hemophilia? That's interesting, making him a bioware canidate with that condition. But I guess it makes sense as well. After all, have to have test conditions now don't we?" A little nod again, taking a moment to check vital signs. "I'll wait to see how things are going to go once she's back to conciousness, don't want to introduce anything into her system yet." Then a look to James. "How long is he expected to be out?"

"Three hours. We tried letting him up before then, but he often had fits of forgetting where he was, who was aroudn him. he almost killed the Captain once becuase is memory scrambled and thought he was some old four star general that James turned into a vegtable a long time ago for gross medical malpractice, severe misconduct and general miuse of power."
A look over at James.
"He was the lucky one. most of the orignal Metamorphosis canidates died. and not becuase of faulty work. because of that damned general. he was warned over and over again what he could, and could not do. and he did things anyway that cost lives. James took it personal, and dealt with it in a manner that I felt was fitting. But he was a good man, and with several other testimonies, the sent him here rather than prison. he can't get any promotions, and he's kinda both discharged and not. he still has all his benifits, but he's not allowed to really be involved in anything strictly military. and he can't throw around his rank to other officers."
She shrugged.
"He thought it was worth it. and I agree with him. But Rennel...his bioware was his own choice. he wanted the work done, and they accepted him both for testing of the work with his condition, and to help give Meta a much needed PR boost."
