((Oi! Sorry for not posting!! I've been really out of it this week, school life is starting to get waayyy to hectic for my liking...And i recognized the "how rude" before you even mentioned Stephanie, Cuwen! I love Full House ^^ ))
Akira woke up with a small jolt, completely disoriented. She looked around her room, gazing at her drawings and furniture in a daze, as last nights events filled her mind. Yet, a crucial piece of the puzzle was missing; how did she end up back in her room, her bed, and it no longer being nighttime, but late morning!??
Pulling off the covers and sitting sideways, letting her feet touch the carpet, Akira noticed that she was still in the no sleeved black shirt and navy blue jeans she'd quickly thrown on last night when she'd been overwhelmed by the God like auras.
Well, at least she wasn't crazy; Last night hadn't been a ridiculous dream!
"Akira? Good morning my zombie of a master!" Kilala exclaimed mentally as she gracefully jumped onto the bed, her tails swaying.
"Huh? Oh, hey...What do you mean "Zombie of a master"? I'm not a zombie!!!" Akira replied, checking to see if her skin had turned green or if she had any cravings for Human flesh, yet was giggling softly.
The Twin Tailed Cat Demon simply meowed and walked onto her master's lap, then sat down.
"Last night, after you were shown that sketch from that American girl and after Evermore's breakdown...You kinda went into a zombie like daze. Then, after saying good night to those two girls, you were about to knock on Evermore's door, but decided against it, sat down, and curled up against the wall across from her door instead, waiting, I suppose. After a good hour or so, you fell asleep, so i transformed and brought you back here." The Demonic feline explained.
"Oh ya...I remember now...I figured Evermore would want to be alone and would probably want to sleep, so i just wanted to be around, so she'd subconsciously feel my aura and know i was there for her, ya know? But i ended up dozing off...Great..." Akira replied, frowning slightly, as she stroked Kilala's back, loving the feel of her companions ever-so-soft fur between her fingers.
She smiled after a moment, though, and pecked Kilala's forehead softly, before saying, "Thanks so much for bringing me back here though, Kilala, or else i'd be extremely stiff and sore right now!"
~~~
After a quick shower and a change of clothes (a deep pink v-neck t-shirt with multiple black designs on it. The back of her shirt had two beautiful black wings that stretched out as if ready to burst to life at any moment, a mini black and white skirt, and running shoes), Akira left her room and locked the door, before heading over to Evermore's dorm. Once there, she quickly knocked four times, their little code to know who exactly was at the door without trying.
She ran her hand though her long, thick dirt blond hair and glanced nervously at Kilala.
It was the Demonic feline who chose Akira clothes today. Smiling to herself, she'd told Akira to let her hair loose, knowing the dog girl had a habit of tying it up a lot.
Akira had reluctantly agreed, though she felt slightly awkward in these clothes, wanting more than anything to be wearing jeans right now. She was used to wearing skirts, since she wore the school's skirt a lot, but this skirt was a little bit shorter than the school's one and made her feel very self-aware. Of course Kilala had reassured her that she'd have nothing to worry about and looked fantastic, but still...
Tyler was the one to step up, he himself the best when it came to talking to girls. Yet he didn't talk to her quite like he did Vanessa whom he persisted to call by her proper name. It just felt better to him to do so. "Tell us all you can about him darling. Sam and I have a bad feeling Pops would hide things from us, but it seems like for some reason he's confided in you." He said, putting plenty of emphasis on the last word. "Why is that anyway? He didn't tell either one of our mother's anything, and never even cared to know if he had kids out there. Why you?" He asked with his arms crossed and Sam standing next to him. Usually she would say something about him being rude, but she wanted to know these answers too.
Ari took a deep breath, and held her coffee between her slim hands. "I don't know why he chose me. The first day he was here was three days ago. He was selling coffee to the girls here, you see. He owns a shop downtown. Anyways, I went with Evermore, she'd never had coffee before, so I thought to let her try some. He was there, and his accent was distinctly German. We just got to talking..." she said, a slightly whimsical smile came on her face.
Coming back to herself, she took a sip of her drink. "We went to a little party in Evermore's room that night. Nothing big... but we did manage to piss off the Lake Spirits. He didn't come back too much yesterday, and I worried something was wrong, and he felt guilty. I called him, and Luli and Bo (two other kids our age that work for him), drove me to his shop. He sounded so sad..." Ari shook her head again. "Once there, he told me things. Things about himself. I won't tell them to you, only because they're not my secrets to tell... and I can't tell you anymore. Not without asking him."
Ari was adamant at this. She didn't want to betray Musica's trust. If he wanted his kids to know, then they could and she'd gladly tell them the whole deal that went on last night. Until she got his 'ok', they wouldn't get anything else out of her. "I can take you to his shop, if you like," she offered.
"Great, great, I'm late... late," Caroline amended, as soon as she realized she was beginning to rhyme. She was wearing a denim skirt and an icy orange 3/4 sleeve length shirt. It wasn't that the outfit was immodest or anything, but Caroline definitely wouldn't have worn it in front of her family. They were super-protective of her, and her brothers especially acted like the mere presence of non-related male flesh within fifty feet was an invitation for scandal. Well, considering her parents were rich and famous, it probably was.
Now, where the heck were Ari and Akira?
Tyler scoffed at her, not really thinking her information was of any importance. Truely it only wasted their precious time. "Look girly, nice sob story and all, but it doesn't tell us anything. If the least you can do is take us to where he's hiding out, then so be it." His face was stern and fierce, nothing like the expression he held before.
Sam frowned, also seeing this was getting them no where. They didn't want to get involved in his life, just learn what he owed to teach them then go back home finally. This, was too much. There was one thought in mind though she wished to ask. "Lead the way then Miss Ari, but tell me. Do you know why our dad looks not much older than any of us?"
Ever looked toward her door when she heard knocking again. She smiled when she instantly sensed her best friend's aura behind the door. Finally, a friendly face.
"Come on in, Akira!"
"I know why he does," she said with a nod, ignoring Tyler. "... but that's something you need to ask him yourself." Looking to Nessa, she handed her a piece of paper. "There's the directions. I need to wait for Caroline... I promised her I'd give her an explanation. I also ought to find Evermore..." she muttered. "Tell Musica I'll be there as soon as I can, 'kay?"
Upon Ty's response to Ari, Vanessa's eyes sparked dangerously. No one talked to her best friend like that. Ever. Before she could say something, Ari put directions in her hand. She nodded. "I'll tell him. Don't worry," she said. "So..." she said, glaring at Ty, "Ya'll still want to go?"
Tyler sauntered off to the door, not wanting to wait any longer and listen to this girl tell him what he deserved to know about his own damn father. When she was probably nothing more than someone heart struck girl like his mother who hung on his father every word it seemed. As he walked out the door a thought occured to him. Were all girls really that pathetic?
Sam watched him walk off and got up herself. If anyone else didn't she understood his pain. None of this anger was directed at the two girls, but their father and his mother. Still it wasn't his fault their father was apparently a no good and his mother so desperately loved Musica that she waited until her death for him to come back to her. "We should be going then I suppose. Please forgive Tyler, he's had a rough life more so than my own. His anger is in no way directed at you two."
Akira sighed in relief and opened the door. Smiling, she said, "Morning!" and walked over to where Evermore was, before sitting next to the Fury on the window still seat.
Kilala jumped onto Evermore's lap and smiled, meowing. The girl looked a lot better in the Demonic Feline's eyes, which was a nice relief. Though she vaguely wondered where Raven was; shouldn't she being doing her job as a familiar and cheering her master up? Hmm....
"So...How you feeling? Last night was pretty hectic huh..." Akira asked, concern and awe shinning in her demonic blue eyes.
"Oh, ya! For breakfast, we gotta met up with Ari. She'll explain exactly what happened...But from what i saw, it was honestly insane!!! I wanted to contact you, but your aura was gone and i had nooo idea where you were...Where were you anyways?"
Ever smiled when her friend came in and Kilala jumped on her lap. She started slowly petting her. She blushed, though, and looked down at her lap when Akira asked where she had been last night. It was a blush of slight embarrassment and a little anger.
"I, uh, believe it or not, was actually at Mt. Olympus!"
"It's alright. I know rough," Vanessa said with a shrug. "Cathcha on the flip side, Ari-bear," Vanessa said. "Oh!" she said with a flurry, rifling through her sketchbook, "... if you see Ev, would you give this to her?" Ness handed the folded paper to Ari, who nodded sadly. "Ready Sam?" she asked.
Finally, Caroline skidded into the cafeteria, searching for Ari. To be a dragon was blessing - it made it that much easier for her to find Ari.
"Ari! HA! I made it!"
Ari smiled sadly at Caroline. "Yep! You suuuure did," she said. Now they were waiting on Akira, and hopefully, Evermore. Whatever Ness had given her to give to Evermore seemed important...
