It snowed today!! emotion_awesome *does the dance of happiness*

I gotta be honest; I always pictured Finland as perpetually snowy. Sorta like a little Skyrim, except without as many dragons (and bears... thrice-damned bears...).

gaia_nitemareleft

I wish... in recent years it's been rather warm and we haven't had proper winters. I would prefer Skyrim like climate.... even with the dragons and such if we could get rid of this "raining water the whole winter" kind of weather. smile

gaia_angelright
There are worse things it could rain, though I can see what you mean. Always personally preferred a cold winter rain, myself, though.

gaia_nitemareleft

Good point. I like rain in the summers but when it's winter I want really, really cold weather and lots and lots of snow. whee

Never seen a real snowfall. Had a barest hint of one once, but it consisted of sparse flakes that would instantly melt on contanct with the ground. Made for a very strange sight, to say the least.

Really?! Oh wow. It's always a puzzle for a person who is so used with snow to meet up people who aren't. smile

In here usually the first snow doesn't "stick". Meaning it melts as soon as it hits ground, like you said. It's because the ground is so warm that the little snowflake can't survive it. The last few days have been cold here, so this first snow actually stayed on the ground and there's still some of it around.

Been in hospital with bronchitis for going on four days and away from computers. That's why I've been awol. Hope to be out tomorrow. scream
You know, I really can't that screaming is helping things any.

Well I was feeling tortured with no net access or even a t.v! gonk
I usually just retreat into my mind when I'm stuck in a situation like that. Then again, I've got a lot of space to work with, not to mention the... "interesting" decor.

My mind is WAAAAY too crowded. It's always a party in MY mind. Though I don't know who the host is.

Mine is more like what's left after the party.

The strangest part was how sparse the snow was; if you weren't paying attention, you'd have never noticed. Hell, if my father hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed.

I'd much rather have snow than power-disrupting, fire-starting dry thunderstorms every 2-3 days.

k, to the untrained eye...that was just boring...but for the rest of us...that was twisted, freaky and interesting! I wasn't sure if the person was a robot or real!

Well the souls used to power it are quite real. The creature? ... let us hope we never find out.

To all my dear AGA'ers I hope you all are okay and that you will be able to weather the upcoming storm that is rolling through the U.S. My prayers are with you.

Are you getting any where you are Cam? Since we're so close to NY...we're not getting that much rain, just really strong winds...I'm afraid of powerlines coming down and the homeless that they find shelter.

Oh no - I live on the West Coast so I'm on the opposite side of the US from where Sandy is hitting. My two sisters live in the D.C area though. It's pretty stormy where they are. 3nodding I just spoke to one of them and she said they still have power for now but her neighborhood is usually one of the first to lose it if things get bad.

Sis was rushed to the hospital this morning because she woke up bleeding. They performed an emergency c-section and Ross Clifford Hedvicek IV was born at 7:34AM. He is 16 inches and 3 lbs 3 ozs; 2 months premature according to Jen. Both sis and the baby are in the NICU and are doing okay.
