Sursqueek pauses and waits for any additions Senka and Nikolai might have, but not hearing any specifics from them he continues,
"Good, now we must move on as war waits for no man, though in our case I believe that the elves are either expecting or not really caring, but there ARE so many options to think of and only one set to carry out, how unfortunate...And you are certain you won't mind conveying messages to our troops, of course that won't be your only task, but I'd hate to throw too much on your plate without your permission, I've heard it said that some fear public speaking more than the reaper's scythe, funny how big an impact words can have, in spite of being only vibrations of air particles, that is to say also, are you are sure that my tests will cover everything we will need?"
he pauses thoughtfully and awaits answer.
((just checking to see if you wanted to try on a check yourself for any troops you want D.F.))

"Now let us leave and begin to assemble the testing area, first we'll be performing the literacy tests, this should determine how many we will be able to use for support positions, the rest will be used for fighting fighting as soon as we have this completed we'll need to begin working on specialized weaponry: Alchemic Fire, Sparks, Frost, of course any animals we can capture will be of great use because of the unique procedures we can use to...modify them for better ability. If you don't mind me asking what is your area of expertise?"
While continuing his conversation with Nikolai, Surqueek begins to gather and move materials to the testing area, asking the occasional soldier for help. As he moves his book and chains rattle in an eerie manner. Once this is done he tells any soldiers to attend General Senka's Announcement.
((I assume things like the materials required and location, etc, were covered in the Int check earlier. I'm assuming word is working it's way around that there will be an address of some sort from Senka regarding the examination/tests))

Thanatos continues his search for men whos skills focus in an area of questionable legality. He lets it slip to a few men who are known to be talkative that one of the generals is searching for men who can sneak, still, lie, and or do other rogue like things. He also lets it slip that the pay is considerably better.

Few soldiers venture near enough, but you gt your basic supplies, nothing fancy though.

Aleran Thanatos pulls his cowl over his head masking his face in shadows. He starts towards the tents, and the clusters of men, eyes keenly looking for anyone who looks like they have spent time on the streets, stealing and begging. Those are the best types of thieves, they do it because they need to, so they work to constantly perfect their skill, even if they aren't the most skillful, you can always count on them to be loyal to a constant source of coin or booze. As he nears the men he lets a purse of gold drop from his hands. He takes his time picking it up, ears trying to take in anything they can about the soldiers. With the purse retied he gets up and walks away, slowly, consious of the purse, waiting to see if anyone tries to make it their own. "Curious" he thinks to himself "I would have thought my men got the message and would have already arrived here." (the men being the ones he had the messanger send a note to. Furthermore I believe spot and listen checks are in order. +1 on each) Most of those type are gone before the scentence finishes.

While waiting for Senka to tell the soldiers Sursqueek adjusts his mask slightly and pulls out a small book, a piece of fiction perhaps and, pulling a brown cloth bookmark out, resumes reading whatever story or narritive is found within.

Pushing his glasses up a bit and then taking a deep breathe, exclaim "OI!! SOLDIERS!! PAY ATTENTION THIS WAY! WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT WHICH WILL BENEFIT YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE!! LISTEN WELL FOR WE WILL NOT REPEAT AGAIN!! Whew. All yours now Senka dear." exclaim
ninja "Greetings brave soldiers of our lord. You joined us for various of reasons in this battle as soldiers. Though you are just that soldiers, a common thing with no outstanding attribute. But we see more than that, we see potential, a jewel waiting to be discovered. Rather than let talent go to waste, a fellow general has devised a few tests to determine the exact type of jewel you are meant to be." ninja

Most accept and are ready to obey a simple order. Others are sliding back off to napping. A wonderful army is arrayed before you.
