"You could always borrow this one from me when I'm not using it," Mia offered in response to the cookbook discussion. She nodded her head at his reply about getting a pet. He was right, it probably wasn't the best idea to make such a large commitment to an animal after just moving here. Both of them were rather low in funds, and pets costed a lot of money. It wouldn't be fair to the animal to bring it into a home that wasn't well-equipped for it. It was sweet that he was so interested in learning for the sake of his job though. He seemed very dedicated to being a good worker. Mia on the other hand was just rolling along with whatever came her way.

As Emil offered for them to hang out for the day again, her face lit up. It seemed like he really did enjoy spending time with her. It was a relief to know that she wasn't annoying him.
"Yeah, let's hang out again," she replied excitedly. All she had planned for the day was making dinner, and that definitely wouldn't take the whole day. She was glad to have something to do, and even happier to be doing something with Emil.

" I don't know why... All I know is that I need to be with you..."

Shinzo entered the store quietly and started to walk to the back to his office. From the look's of it there was some customers in the store but not many really which was fine seeing it was still morning and there was a lot of thing's going on today. He walked into the back and went to his office to find more paper work for him to fill out. He placed his briefcase on his chair before taking off his jacket and scarf and putting it on the back of his chair. Shinzo loved wearing scarf's even though it wasn't really cold enough for one he still liked to wear one. Shinzo opened his briefcase and pulled out the paper work he did at home and put it in a folder and placed it on the side of his desk before looking at the new pile of paper work on his desk. Most of the thing's he just glanced at to see what it was before he piled most of the paper's and put into his briefcase. There was still a few paper's left on the desk and he quickly signed them before putting them in a done pile.

Letting out a quiet sigh Shinzo stepped out from his office and back out into the shop to look threw the store to see if everything was in order. He checked to see if book's were where they were meant to be, took note if they were running low on a book and seeing if who ever was working that morning was doing there job. Everything seemed to be going fine, maybe he didn't have to stay here very long if this kept up. He could go home and finish up the paper work for new shipment's of book's and other little goods kept in the store.

Walking into Bookworm, Sunni walked in with her headphones covering her ears. She just happened to stumble onto the book store after wandering around Soliel for a bit. The freakin' city was a bit confusing to get around. Sunni was new after all, so she was trying to force herself to get used to the place faster. Anyways, the moment she walked into the store, the little fox demoness was quick to glide down between each aisle, scanning every book that interested her. While doing so, she also hummed quietly to herself as her music played from her phone. Sunni wasn't the type to willing sit down and actually read a book, but nothing was wrong with just lookin' around, right? Maybe she'd find something worth buying; who knows.

While passing through one of the aisles, a book somehow caught her interest. Mythical creatures. It was a fairly large book on multiple mythical creatures. She only had her mind on one thing: what her kind could do. Sure, she's found out a lot on her own from just plain curiosity and lots of free time as a kid. BUUUUT, a book that stated a few facts (hopefully) about fox demons and shadow demons had to be - at least- worth a little peek. She immediately plopped down onto the ground with the book opened onto her lap. It was odd to just sit in the middle of the aisle, but with very little people there, who cared? As she flipped through several pages, a thought popped into her head. "Are demons even going to be in this book...?" There were several mythical things, but were demons even considered to be... mythical? Right off the bat, she knew there were going to be facts on faeries, lycans, mermaids, and yadda yadda. It was a silly thing to over think, but it was easy for Sunni to do like usual. She needed a second opinion. With her brown eyes scanning the shop for a worker, she finally caught sight of one and quickly scurried over to the tall male. "Excuse me! Excuse me!" She called out to grab his attention. "I have a question: do you think demons are mythical? I can't seem to find that answer out for myself..."

OOC: Hope you don't mind me RPing with you ^ ^;; I don't know where else to put her...

" I don't know why... All I know is that I need to be with you..."

Everything seemed to be going quiet and fine in the store beside's the odd book in the wrong place that Shinzo put back into it's proper place. He was just thinking about turning to his office to get his thing's and go back home to finish up his paper work when someone called out to him. He slowly turned around and looked at the girl with the book in her hand. This was the one thing Shinzo did not really like working in this store, or any where really was that he had to deal with people. Shinzo just looked at the girl blankly for a moment by her question before he fixed his glasses a little. " In a way they are... Mythical creatures are creatures from a myth or folk tales. Lacking factual basis or historical validity... It really depends on the type of demon I think." Shinzo said as he glanced down at the book she had in her hands. " That book there dose have a few pages about demon's in it... But if you want to know more about demon's and many more kinds I would go with a different book."

Shinzo walked passed the girl and walked near the spot the girl just came from. Without having to even look for the book he pulled out a large black book on the top shelf. He knew ever single book in this store and where they were kept. There was no need for him to stop and look for what he wanted because he already knew where it was and if it was out or not. "This might be what you are looking for... It has all kind's of demon's from all over the world." He said with still a blank emotionless face.

A small pout formed on Sunni's face as she glanced down at the book in her hands. So it was pretty much useless to her now. She gave out a small sigh before scurrying back to put it up. Hopefully the other book he had suggested was much more useful to her. As she walked back over, she watched as he plucked a black book from the top shelf. Good thing he grabbed it. The shelf was just a couple inches too high for her short self. "Ah, thanks!" The demoness exclaimed and quickly took the book from his hands and flipped through several pages. This book was like an encyclopedia; the demon edition, that is. It had a variety of demons from A-Z. All she really needed were two specific ones and just...well, mash up their abilities all in one. "Fox demon, fox demon, fox demon...Bingo!" She mumbled and quickly began reading. The more she read, the more she began to frown. Fox demons - or Kitsunes - had a lot more powers than she thought! She got the shape shifting down...kinda, but how was she supposed to learn how to use fox-fire or any other abilities at that?

The girl read a little bit more until she closed the book shut and sighed. "Well, it helped a lot, but now I just know for sure that I have a whole lot to learn..." Her eyes caught his blank expression which was a bit new to her. She never really talked to anyone who was a bit reserved until now. Maybe he was shy? With her head slight cocked to the side, the demoness quickly gave him a smile and held her hand out. "Sorry for being rude! I'm Sun-Hi, but I like Sunni better!"

OOC: Okay, that's fine! ^ ^

Shinzo watched the girl as she flipped threw the page's of the book he handed to her. He wondered now if he she was done needing his help and he could leave. He wanted to get some paper work done so he wouldn't fall behind in more paper work that would be coming in the next few days.Seeing he was at work he couldn't be his normal self and just walk off, he had to make sure that his customer was happy with what she had found and no longer needed his help. What a pain... When the girl started to say fox demon it caught Shinzo's attention more but he didn't show it. What did she want to know about fox demon's? Also known as Kitsune's or Yoko's. If Shinzo was like any other normal person he might of said something like 'Oh you want to know about fox demons? Well if you want I can tell you about them as I am one' but Shinzo was not like most people so he just kept quiet.

Shinzo blinked a little confused why the customer was telling him her name and such. It wasn't like they were working together or She was living next door to him. Either way Shinzo still had a emotionless face on him as he nodded his head a little and bowed. "Shinzo..."He was still use to the way's of japan so hand shaking wasn't really his thing.

Boy, things were sure getting awkward now. With his emotionless expressions, Sunni couldn't tell if she was bothering him or not. As much as she wanted to ask him if she was being annoying, she felt that it would just make the situation worse. Oh, what to do... "Shinzo, huh? Well it's nice to meet ya!" She added on as she brought her hand back. The way he bowed instead of shaking her hand proved that he was more on the traditional side. Her father was always the traditional kind of man. It even got to the point where it was starting to rub off on her brother, too. Anyways, she bowed her head slightly in order to return the gesture. She didn't want to be rude anyways. As silence rolled in, the more intense the awkwardness became. What should she do now? With her lips pursed, the girl thought of her next move. "Ah! Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I can help if you want! I don't know what kind of work you do around here, but it's the least I can do, Shinzo-san." Sunni was always the kind of person to do whatever it took to make up for certain things. She felt bad that she was pestering him...

OOC: I thought so lol Sorry if it's short! I have to unpack some of my things since I just recently moved into a new apartment.

Shinzo nodded his head slightly as Sunni said it was nice to meet him though he didn't really understand why it was nice to meet him but he didn't say that out loud. The tall man stood still, looking down at the girl with still an emotionless face as he waited to see if she needed anymore help. If she did he would help her as it was his job but he would still be lifeless like now. He never was use to being around people and talking to them as he lied in a Shrine with his mother and Blaze for 100 year's and half the time His mother wasn't there and Blaze had only been in his life for twenty one year's so Shinzo was mostly alone in the shrine. Sure people came up to the shrine and prayed to his mother and the gods but he was always behind the wall's of the shrine when they came up and he didn't speak back as they were not praying to him so he had no right to talk back to them. He only took care of the Shrine.

"Help?... That's fine you don't need to help. It's my job to help you... It's fine." He didn't understand why she was now saying sorry. She didn't do anything wrong did she? Did he? He didn't think so as far as he could tell.

"Can I peer into your mind..."

Emil was, admittingly, rather surprised by Mia's reaction to his suggestion of hanging out again. Not because she said yes as such, but because of the way her expression somehow brightened more than it already was...was his company really that enjoyable? The male didn't know, but honestly it wouldn't matter, the bottom line was that Mia seemed to genuinely want to hang out with him again. Responding with a small smile of his own, Emil wondered what they should do to pass the time. Despite being the one to suggest they kill time together, he still wasn't entirely sure of the ins and outs of Soleil. He chalked it up to being too busy with work yesterday, but it still left the question of where to go. The answer, however, came to him shortly as he realised a bit of an emptiness in his stomach. He had eaten a rather light breakfast, but he had thought it'd at least keep him until lunch. "Once we have our books sorted, how about we grab something to eat?" He asked, figuring he'd hopefully be able to hang on for just a bit longer without food if need be.

{so sorry for the wait, been kinda sick these last few days ;-;}

Mia nodded at his suggestion with a smile still sticking to her face. She would have agreed to anything he suggested, but eating was definitely something she could get behind. "Sounds good to me. I haven't eaten much yet," she answered. She had made sure to at least eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast, but that wasn't enough to hold her over all day. She hadn't planned on buying real groceries until after she sat down with her new cookbook and decided what she wanted to make. If they were going out to eat though, the grocery shopping could wait.

Mia began walking towards the register with her book in hand. As she reached the line she glanced back over her shoulder at Emil, long hair falling onto her back as she turned her head.
"Any thoughts on where you'd like to eat?" She asked. Mia wasn't very picky, although she definitely preferred meats and fish over fruits and vegetables. She could probably chalk that one up to the cat traits as well. Even with that in mind, there still weren't many foods she would refuse to eat.

Geez, his face expression was starting to bug her! What was she doing wrong? Maybe she was being too obnoxious? I mean, he declined on her offer to help him out. Sunni grumbled a bit as a small pout formed her lips. "I don't know... I figured I'd help ya with somethin' since I'm bugging you. And what's up with your face? Why do you -" Huh? What was that smell? That scent...was it coming from Shinzo? With a raised brow, the onxy haired girl stepped closer, putting her nose to work. She's been around humans almost ALL of her life...and none of them smelled like that. No, it wasn't a bad scent; it was different. It was familiar yet foreign at the same time. The more she took in Shinzo's scent, the more confused and intrigued she became. "I didn't notice it before...but you smell different..." The girl muttered and continued. Before she knew it, her large fox ears and four large tails emerged on their own accord. Ugh, that was something she really needed to control more. They always came out whenever her emotions changed so abruptly, or whenever she was using more of her fox-like instincts.

"Definitely not human..." That was clearly obvious, but she still could pin-point the scent. Most fox demons and kitsunes had very similar scents, but she was completely different. She was a mixed breed, so her natural scent was different from others.

" I don't know why... All I know is that I need to be with you..."

"It's fine..." He really did not need this girl's help with anything and if he did need help he would just get someone working to help him. What was with this girl? He was about to ask her if there was anything else she needed help with when she made her comment about his smell. He showered every night and always had clean clothes on so that couldn't be it. Maybe the tea he made this morning? He made it a little strong this morning so was that what she was smelling but as soon as her tail and ear's came out he knew what she was talking about. Shinzo could smell the fox demon on her but he could tell she was not full fox demon. From what he was seeing now he knew for either she was a young fox, not able to control or now how to use her powers or she was a half bread. Maybe even both. Blaze was the same way seeing he was half kitsune and half human, he couldn't control his ear's and tail from time to time.

"No... Lot of people on this island are not human." Shinzo pointed out which was very true. Shinzo just looked at the fox girl, noticing that her fur was black which was in a way different. Sure there was some fox demons and kitsune's that had black fur but most had orangeish or red fur unless they were a nine tails. Then they where either white or gold. Shinzo just kept looking at the girl as this was the first fox he had come across on this island.

"Can I peer into your mind..."

Emil smiled back lightly, whether it was just his stomach or himself entirely, he was glad his suggestion was agreeable. He couldn't help but wonder if Mia, like him, simply didn't eat much in the mornings in general, or if she just didn't have time to spend on eating more than what would keep her stomach from protesting today. Whatever the case, the pair both agreed that getting something to eat would be a good start. Hearing her ask where to go, Emil once again had to think as they lined up, four books held carefully in his arms. For starters, somewhere close would be ideal, somewhere in the shopping district he supposed. It'd have to be reasonably priced too for Emil's sake at least, these books weren't massively expensive, but he still had to keep some sort of budget in mind whilst allowing Mia to go about her food as she pleased. "I think...I might've seen a place that could work." He said, glancing away from Mia only to indicate that the line was starting to move. "The Shark's Head if I remember right...never been, but it might be worth a look, right?" He suggested.

{Mostly fine, but a mental block seems to have taken the headache's place >.<}

Mia noticed Emil's glance at the line moving, and moved along accordingly. "I think I've heard of that," she replied. "A sushi place I think. I love sushi." She was happy with what he had decided. Not many people liked sushi, but it was one of her favorites.

As the line kept moving, she soon reached the front of the line. The cashier told her it would be twelve dollars and fifty cents and she reached into her bag for her wallet. It was a cute floral print wallet, which she quickly produced the right change from. After paying, she stepped to the side of the register to wait for Emil. She was pleasantly surprised to find that everything in this town was relatively cheap. Or at least cheaper than things where she came from. She watched Emil with gold eyes as he reached the front of the line, waiting patiently with a smile.

Emil was, honestly, a little surprised that the place he chose was going to work just fine with Mia, not that he was complaining. As the line dwindled until it was their turn, Emil wondered how many books this place normally sold. There was far more than he had skimmed through, plus whole sections he hadn't even come across before finding what he needed. Four books...they were paperback, which did mean he saved a little, but it would still cost him a reasonable chunk. Regardless, if it helped him keep his job, it wouldn't really matter. A minute and twenty one dollars later, Emil too stepped away from the register, smiling lightly at Mia before gesturing for them to head out. "Ready when you are." He said, hoping their next stop was as worthwhile as it had looked from the outside.
