((Stage 1: Siobhan teamed up with Akubi...again!))
Siobhan paced outside the trail, worriedly wringing her hands together. Oh she had failed quite badly the first round, but the second round, with Akubi's help, she had gone so far!
She was also certain the failure was all on her.
So when Akubi insisted they try again together, she panicked as he dragged her back. "B-but you don't want me! I am no good! I will only drag you down! I...I..."
...
"...okay." She smiled, proceeding through the first obstacle with Akubi's aid.

He nodded firmly, "Of course friends!" He replied without hesitation. Why wouldn't he want to be her friend? Such a silly question. With her hand in his they simply hopped through the flaming hoops barely getting burnt on the way.

The banshee hummed loudly, going through another trial with the demon cat.

Akubi flicked an ear a bit at the screech. Sure it hurt but if it meant she was happy it was okay by him! As a bonus neither of them got so much as blown to smithereenies when the came to avoiding the bombs. So at least it didn't wreck his concentration.

The last stage! They'd met their end here last time. Siobhan was hesitant to go further, but gnomes threatened to shoot them if they stopped. She owed it to Akubi to finish this!

Unlike the last time his bad luck didn't rear it's ugly head to do them in and they managed to get past it. Akubi, however, almost slipped and fell in the process but was saved thanks to Siobhan's help.
"My Hero," he laughed as he grinned at her. "We made it! I told you we would." Still holding her hand he lead her forth to claim their prizes.

Siobhan felt Akubi tug on her hand, about to slip into the pit again. Quick thinking had the ghoul tugging him back up, immediatly leading him to the safety of the other side.
She... saved him! Like a good friend should! "H-h-hero?!?!" Siobhan screeched, pointing at herself. "Oh no no no, not me! It was my duty to protect you, friend!" She smiled to herself. "Yes, we did it!"
Siobhan giggled happily, following her friend as he tugged her forward.

Riley was back to riding on Jericho's back, this time around. She had clearly forgotten what a bad idea this was. She was still silent, and unaware she wasn't being heard, but who cared anymore?

It indeed was a bad idea. Jericho didn't get too far before his foot ended up catching on a hurtle,causing him to trip horrendously.

Stage One: (Riley and Jericho Team up) Pass
Riley had a pounding headache, but she had taken enough of a rest before this round that she was talking again. Still, her voice sounded weary, and faded in and out.
I think.. yes. Just get me through this, Jericho. You can do it.
She climbed on his back, held on tight, and dropped her head square into his back.
Because I cannot.

"Dammit Riley..." groaned Jericho as Riley climbed onto his back. He was too tired to be carrying her through the course. Everything had just been so taxing that he wasn't sure if he could really do this.
He did.
Barely. Gritting his teeth, he just barely managed to clear those hurtles.

Riley would have been more sympathetic to the needs of her best friend, but she was running on limited function at the moment. All that mattered was that she got to rest as much as possible. So she languished against him, ignoring the grunts that he made as he carried her through the hoops as well.

Pausing before the flaming hoops, Jericho took in a deep breath while shifting Riley so he had a better hold of her. All other attempts to carry her through this obstacle had ended in disaster.
"VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" he cried out before going all out to dive through the flames. He couldn't fail. They couldn't fail.
And thus he managed to get through perfectly. Unfortunately, that was about it for him. Maybe if this had been... three weeks ago, he would be able to keep going. But after dying day after day after day after day after day?
He collasped after clearing the last one.
