"Understandable then how you would refuse to them. If I were in your shoes I know I would too. After all...no one likes getting turned into a living battery and then they almost short you out. That can be just plain disaterous...bioware or not."
He shrugged lightly, eyes wandering to take in all the various sights there were to see, every now and then looking up to see where Jelena was, logging away her motions in the back of his head to see if there was anything deeper and perhaps worse.

"How much bioware work do you actually do? or is Jelena one of your very few patients that have such altercations? I have a team of the best of the best for thier fields in biotechnology and it's applications, most have other doctorates. though we lack an orthopedic doctor, as most here are former Meta when the government owned it. so a lot of arms, wings, hands, head and neck type peices...we don't have much int eh way of legs. but there are a few, and if you'd prefer to join the team, it can be arranged that your normal patients be sent here or at least informed of your new position."

"Not too much really, but I've done enought to be well versed. Being Earth based, I'm required to be on a base. You know, what with teh controversy and what not down there, safety purposes. I really only see the troops when they have thier own problems and complaints. Get some flight crew action every once and a while."
Yeah it was pretty dull considering. All that knowledge of bioware and very little use of it...though he was still as good as ever about it. Though here was an opportunity, James was suggesting he get involved with Fleet. "Hm, an offer to get on Fleet...I'm sure it would be much more worthwhile than sitting on base reading a textbook all day. What would getting stationed here entail?"

"You put in a request, with the project your looking to be a part of, and any referances you can muster, as well as your typical resume. However in your case, you can bypass a lot of that I'll wager by asking for stationing here for the primary biowetware care of Jelena. you'd be under the authority of my team officially, as they are the ruling body of Meta so to speak. but unless there's a serious need of your expertise, they'll most likely let you do what you feel the need to do. our R&D is limited, you have to fill out an unseemlying large amount of paperwork to get even small things authorized, but that's mostly to verify. I mean if you're willing to send in seventy forms in triplicate with certain seals and stamps gotten done, then they know for sure your serious, and you don't have to worry about any added costs or components to your research."

"I think I can handle that. Though right now, I need to focused on Jena, no tyring to get myself transferred anywhere. After all, she's got that 'substandard earth junk' thing going on. And she's practically in denial about this all you know. THen again she's always been an odd girl, I should expect these sorts of things."

"Yes, I'll arranged my procedure to conincide with hers. it's easier that way. and she'll be able to pace and fret if I don't wake up before she get through relearning to walk if need be."
A look at one of the enclosures, like the Fenrir one but more rocky terrain.
"And this will be Cerebus' home, once she's out of stasis. given enough time and if things go well, I'll be permitted a male, and possbly breed them like Jelena did her Fenrirs."

"Indeed it will be. Though I'll have her so bogged down with drugs she probably won't have time to pace and fret and what not. Unless you're planning to be out of it for weeks. And before you say anything, yes I know she's an easy drug addict." He'd delt with it before and knew how to handle that aspect. In his opinion, Jelena had always taken way too easily to drugs.
Though is attention turned to the enclosure that he was being told about and James eventual plan. A chuckle. "I could almost say you're as enthusiastic about this as she was when she got the idea. Though more subdued."

"Ah yes I can see where you're coming from. When given the choice to give and take life, I'd like to think that most people would prefer the former over the latter. Regadrless of what the life they hold in thier hands may be. I'm sure it will be quite the enlightening experience." Though the sound of metal being thuded on caught his attention and he had looked up to see Jelena standing herself back up. "Be careful up there."
"I just slipped is all."
"Sure she did." He sighed lightly.

Yes, james did like to show off a little bit, and if it woudl help teh doctor to decide what might be wrong, he was more than willing to do so, pulling out hsi little tuning fork peice, and inserting it into the readout panel for the enclosure..bringing up the last footage form the security camera for the Doctor to see, that red eyepeice sliding down over hsi eye.

"Goodness Commander Moira, I don't mean to poke fun or insult...but you're a right old fashioned swiss army knife of sorts aren't you?" Yes he had a sense of humor, just not horribly often, or horribly expressive about it. Though he wasn't complainging, he knew how Jelena worked. That woman would lie at the drop of a hat if it covered up somethign she didn't want exposed. Yes, she had formed quite the bit of a bad habits since her family was killed.
But he merely watched what James offered. And that was no slip. That was her walking around in the slight awkward gait that indicated at a combination of pain and numbness and then her leg not taking it well, either her knee or ankle giving out of her. Slipping and falling were indeed different. "You have to admit, she's a tough woman."

the voice was the usual robotic, deatched one he got when interfacing with machines.
"Indeed. secondary system that is classified, plasma cannon, and this, my COIN system. teh main one. Communications Override and Intercept Networking. and she's tough as they come. but that was obviously something giving out on her. and it didn't look good at all, liek it's getting worse much easier just with her walking."

"Well, I don't know exactly how long she's been worse than she usually is you know? She'd very good at hiding pain but also taking something to kill it off before it starts to bother her. Have you had her busy all day? If so she probably hasn't taken anything all day and it's starting to catch up to her now. Simple enough. If she's not used to that pain, things are going to hit her harder."

James unplugged himself, and shook his head lightly.
"As far as I know, she's been in her office most of the day, not doing a whole lot of anything. but myself and Lillia, that bouncing humming labgirl, have been getting up to date on the procedures here to begin working. So I'm not entirely sure."
