"Yeah, that's pretty high... Oh well." I say, approaching the operator of the teleport.

3:42 PM Layla:The operator looks up at you. He is smoking an old-fashioned pipe. The tobacco has a sweet smell to it. He smiles as he sees the guild and the wolf pack behind you. "Afternoon, ma'am," he says. "How many'll that be? Ten...twenty...twenty-six? No, looks like...how many of you are there?!" There are eleven of you—wait a minute. There's only ten of the main group now! Leina has up and vanished! Maybe she snuck back to the guild hall for something...either way, there are ten of you now (including Xiao and Lyriana's team), plus Tasson and his pack. There were about fifteen males, including Tasson, but the females only numbered about five. The rough count is thirty-one.

"Well... thirty-one is more like it." I reply, bracing for the ungodly cost.

I can't help but worry about Leina, but I know that to get out of this game, I need to focus on moving forward. I facepalm at the huge group we've acquired.

3:44 PM Layla:"Hmm..." the operator says. "Well, you're going to have to send a bunch of them to your guild hall. You're allowed ten fighters in the Challenge. But you can do that when on the island. The cost is..." He pauses, semi-dramatically, as he puffs his pipe in thought. You have a feeling that you're going to need to pay for an expansion to the guild hall's living quarters. Or at least to the landmass that it's on... "A pint of blood each," he says finally.

My left eye twitches and a weird grin plasters itself on my face. A pint... of blood...? Are they... FREAKING VAMPIRES?! "WHAT?!" I shriek in a very cat-like fashion. ((So, Nyx's eye twitch face looked like this: Eye Twitch))

"Okay." I say, almost plesantly. Blood was a cheap cost for a healer. I approach the man, getting within arms reach of him. "How do you want to take it? Also, could I pay for multiple people? I'll need to take break in between each, but it'll be easier than healing everone in my party." I look him over for the stereotypical signs of a vampire; his price roused my curiousity, but if he can stand out here, being turned probably wouldn't be aweful if he was...

"Hmm, this may be an issue, I have no blood" she approached the Opperator as she said this, brushing the ever persistant hair back behind her ear.

I approach Layla and whisper to her. "There's no need for you to be so selfless. Most of us are perfectly capable of donating a pint of blood, but more importantly, I suspect some magic is involved which would require different blood from each individual person in order to make the teleportation possible."

3:45 PM Nyx:"Rules are rules," the operator says. Layla:The operator smiles as you approach him. You notice his fangs. He also has very pale skin. Though he may be surviving here because of the giant island's shadow, which disallows the sun from touching him. "Sure, if that is your desire," he says. "You've got two options: I take it myself, or you use those." He snaps his fingers. A few feet away, a strange device rises out of the grass. It has a place where you stick your arm, where you assume either magic removes the blood, or a blade cuts into you and lets you bleed into a container. Willow:The operator shrugs. "Your winged friend here seems to want to pay for everyone," he says. "So no big deal." Sand-Claw:"Sorry," the operator says. "You won't be able to reach it. Magic, you understand." Apollo:"Ahem," the operator says. "I CAN hear you, you know. But yes, normally it requires blood from everyone. But I can make an exception, if she's so adamant about it. Besides, your friend here did say she has no blood."

"Fine, I'll pay the toll." I say, and grudgingly walk over to one of the blood letting stations, and stick my arm in.
