gaia_nitemareleft Hmm, some might see pretty items, I see a good time to crash the marketplace. Yes, ahem, I did try one of the rigs with the free cash I have and got and unbelievable stupid item. Again. I wonder when I learn to leave the freaking rigs alone and just concentrate on the vending. *sighs* Good thing is that my internet is working again. It has been acting up all weird for the last few days. I've been trying to enjoy my last few days of my holiday week best as I can. I've been on holiday this whole week and have been doing all sorts of fun stuff. I went to see the Hunger games yesterday and I really didn't like the movie. It missed all the emotions and the reason that was so well told in the books. gaia_angelright

To be fair, that's pretty much par for the course when they allow the movie industry to set their filthy little talons on something. If you gave them a 4-year-old's picture book, what they'd make would still fall short of the original in terms of both entertainment value and adherence to the original story.
I still haven't forgiven them for DOOM. "Mars invaded by Hell? No, no, no; 'genetic-engineering BAD' will make a much better story. What? 400 million avid fans of the series say otherwise? What do they know? Trust me, they'll like this much better."

gaia_nitemareleft Yeah. That is unfortunately usually the case with "movies from books/games" -stories. Same goes with games made from successful movies. They never seem to really do any justice in either cases. The only movie adaptation from book I actually like and think is good, is the Lord of the Rings movies. Of course there are tons of stuff in the books that are not told in the movie, but in the movie the plot was made coherent and the story line actually made sense. *sigh* It's my last day of the holiday week I've had and looks like I haven't done half of the stuff I thought I would. I was determined to really exercise this week, but instead I've got a inspiration to write again. I've been working on a story for some years now and for the last half an year haven't been able to write anything because my work just consumes majority of my brain power at the moment. I suppose this was still a good holiday. I managed to get my minds of the work and I've been sleeping a lot. *shrugs* gaia_angelright

They usually are...for one that hasn't read the books...I quite enjoyed it...but yeah...I'll probably enjoy the book(s?) more...I usually do.

I wonder... if they made a movie based on a book/game, then a book/game based on that movie, would the end product even be recognizable as what you started out with?

The story is so much more intense. 3nodding gaia_angelright

I give you Exhibit A. And just like that, seven long years of very expensive therapy is rendered moot. Thanks. cry Haven't seen that since I was seven or eight.
