The blonde with glasses watched her friend look around for a basket and she too moved her head for one to see if she could see any basket's but she didn't. She was about to say that maybe they should ask someone but Galen had already walked off and found one. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh at her friend and she placed the book's in the basket. "Just make sure you don't drop the basket now you hear?" She said with a slight snicker before sticking her tongue out at him. When Jun asked her to show her what book she wanted she nodded and made her way back slowly to the book that was out of her reach. There was just something about this book that she had to look at. She couldn't really explain it other then she knew she had to read this book. She stopped in front of the book shelf and pointed at the book on the top shelf. " The book called 'Red Thorn' by.... Tyrese Heavens." Luka said as she went on her tippy toes so she could see who the book was by.

He'd look at the cover for a brief moment before handing the book to Luka with a friendly smile. "Here you are my dear" He'd say in a less former manner than one would expect. Just with a slight tease in his voice. "Well might I ask what you like to read?" He'd ask curiously trying to know a little more about the person he was helping.

Holding her book close to her chest, Luka walked along side with Galen to the cashier to pay for her new book. A laugh came from the short blonde from Galen's comment before the laughter stop when he said he would pay for her book. "No way! I payed for that muffin because I was late. You owe me nothing." Luka stated as she went ahead of Galen so she could pay for her book. She didn't want him to pay for something he did not have to pay for. Luka pulled out her wallet and was about to pay when she noticed Jun leaving. "Oh nice meeting you and thank you for the help. See you around." Luka said not as shy as she sounded before. She watched Jun walk off before she turned back to the cashier and paid for her book. "Well Galen I think we better get home before we get even more pored on." Luka said as she watched the rain poor outside as she waited for her friend to buy his new books.

With a nod Luka kept the book she bought close to her chest again in the bag so it wont get wet. She turned tot he door and opened it for Galen to step out. Today turned out to be not a bad of a day even though it was a cold rainy one. Luka was for sure going to drink more tea and have a nice hot bath when she got home. She was looking forward for those to thing's and reading her knew book.

It took Emil a little longer than he'd admit to find the book store, having only passed by it yesterday on his way back home from work. He hadn't really planned on going in upon seeing it, but this morning he realised that maybe it'd do him some good to read up on pet care. Even if he was just the cashier, knowing just as much about the animals he was selling as the handlers might come in handy a some point down the line. He thought back to the customer he encountered yesterday, she could've asked him just about anything and he'd have no answer to it. If he was the manager of the place, that sort of performance probably wasn't one he wanted to see regularly. So, with having no shift on for today, the male figured he should, at the very least, learn the basics. Quietly walking amongst the rows upon rows of books on display, it would be a minute or so before he found the textbook section. Though he was hesitant to ask for help in finding specific books, he was starting to realise that he'd probably be spending a little while here...that thought only coming to mind upon seeing just how many books he'd have to browse. Not because it'd take some time just to actually find books on pets, but because the first one he found was centered entirely on cats, implying he'd have to get more for the other pets he'd have to potentially answer questions about. With a sigh and an admission that he had really nothing more to do today, Emil got to work finding the books he needed, skimming through a couple every now and then to make sure it was indeed what he was looking for.

Once again, Emil's focus blocked out just about everything as he read more on how to look after cats. He never saw himself owning a pet...after all, he barely saw himself staying in one place before coming to Soleil...but a cat would be one he'd look into first if he ever decided on it. They were less maintenance than a dog, looked much friendlier than a reptile and were more interesting than a tank full of fish. Yet again, his focus on the pages kept him from noticing Mia approach, her voice the only thing snapping him out of it. Three days in a row they had met; the first by chance, second sort of planned, now today also by chance. It didn't bother Emil, a familiar, friendly face was always welcomed, but how the two kept bumping into each other was beyond his comprehension. Tearing his gaze away from the textbook, he smiled back lightly before blinking, thinking back to her question. "Oh, umm, kind of?" He said, closing the book and tucking it under his arm. "Just trying to learn a few things before my next shift." He said, nodding to the small pile of books he had made sitting idly on the display table. For a brief moment, Emil's gaze moved to the book Mia was carrying, he couldn't quite see the cover but it looked like something to do with food. "Learning some more things too?" He asked.

Glancing back down at the book when Mia showed it to him, Emil nodded as she spoke. It had been a little while since he had cooked anything decent, the last few days being nothing but pre-made and packet meals until he found work. "Maybe I'll have to pick one up too, though I think I'll have to hold off so I don't overspend today." He said, glancing over at the pile. He couldn't simply read parts of them and then leave, coming back later to read further...this was a book store, not a library, it'd feel practically the same as stealing to the male. Hearing Mia ask about him getting a pet, Emil turned his gaze back to her and shook his head. "Even if I was, it feels too soon to get one, I think. This is really just so I can answer questions about the animals better." He explained, showing her the textbook as he did. Whilst he could probably just ask the pet handlers as opposed to spending moeny on books, this would feel much faster, plus it crossed out the downside of distracting them from their own work. Setting the book down onto the pile, a thought about what Mia said earlier made him blink. "Hey, uhh...you said you have some time off, right?" He said, rubbing the back of his neck lightly, countless words flying through his head to try and put together sentence that won't sound stupid. "Do you...I mean, if you don't already have plans...want to hang out again? I've got the day off as well it seems." Frankly, that could've gone much worse. Still, he shouldn't have felt so nervous, should he? Mia was a friend, or at least as close as one could to being a friend in a couple of days at most. Then again, asking to spend more time around another person wasn't exactly something Emil did very often, if at all.
