Sebastian shook his head. "She has no idea what Boothe is capable of. Wound or not." he pushed the papers to the side, and looked over the fire to Ryan. "I don't know what's going to happen. Nor do I know what's real anymore." he said. Ryan probably thought everything he was saying was a mystery, but that was okay. Sebastian just felt the need to say it. At this time, the crickets were out, filling the silence with their music.

After poking the fire for a good twenty minutes, Sebastian looked around. Night had engulfed their camp and there was no one to be found but Ryan. "Where's Boothe?" he said, standing quickly. "Boothe!" he called out.

Ryan nodded. "Neither do I..." He muttered in the silence. Ryan stuttered awake as Sebastian called for Boothe. "Wha..? Boothe?" Ryan called out as well, standing quickly. Darkness covered the camp, engulfing everything outside of the fire's light. "BOOTHE?"

No matter how loud he called out, there still was no answer. He dropped his hands to his sides. "We can't look for him without light." he looked down at the fire. "And the fire's about to die out." he sighed impatiently, then called out for Boothe once more. Sebastian took a step towards the darkness. Then, Boothe burst from the bushes, falling on his stomach. His walking stick rolled away. He pushed his body up as Sebastian came running to him. "Selia! She's hurt." he pointed to the wall of shrubbery. Sebastian leaped over the bushes, almost stepping on Selia.
He carefully lifted Selia into his arms. "Selia!" he yelled. He shook her slightly, not aware of her injury. "Selia!" he repeated.

Selia's eyes fluttered open and she whimpered. "Ouch. Stop it hurts." She whispered, pressing weakly against Sebastian before blacking out again.

Ryan ran to help Boothe up, supporting his weight on his shoulders. "What's wrong?" He called to Sebastian, panic building in his chest at Boothe's reaction to her injury.

Sebastian looked frantically at her, seeing no blood or open wounds. As he adjusted his hands, he felt her spine. "Her spine is broken." he called back to Ryan. Carefully, he made his way through the shrubs with Selia in his arms. He looked around for a place for her to lay, and decided to place her on the moss patch. He turned her on her stomach gently. Biting his lip, he went on his knees. "I don't have medicine for this." he finally said. "I'm going to have to go back to the village and get gauze." he got up and began walking over to Boothe.
Boothe pointed by the fire for Ryan to help him get there. "Sebastian, it's too dark. The nekos could be back to check for survivors. You're not going." he demanded.
It was true. Sebastian could never get there. It was too dark, even though he knew his way there, he wouldn't be able to go. If he ran, he'd likely run into something at full speed and get hurt as well. "I'll make it out of moss. See how that works." then he made his way back to Selia and observed her injury.
Boothe frowned after sitting down. "Has my brother returned?" he asked Ryan, concerned.

Selia muttered something and sat up as Sebastian checked her spine. "I don't know what happened... Where are we? And who are you?" Selia spoke up through the tears forming in her eyes. Her memory was obviously effected from the fall. He looks familiar though... They all kind of do. Selia thought as she reached up to pick debris from Sebastian's hair.

Ryan shook his head somberly. "Not yet. Hopefully soon though." He replied, stirring up the embers of the dying fire and breathing some life back into them. Shadows danced around the campsite.

Sebastian wasn't shocked from this. His mother always had patients who suffered from memory loss. He gently pushed her to lay back down. "Friends," he replied quickly. "Your spine is broken. But it's not too severe." He cut off a long patch of moss from the forest floor with his knife. He began skimming it so when it was wrapped around her it would be tight and supportive. With a flip of his hair, the rest of the debris flew out. "You need to lay down." he said as he worked at the moss.
Boothe dropped his head. He rubbed at his weary eyes. "Well is Selia doing okay?" he asked as he dropped his hands.

Selia sighed stubbornly and laid on her side to watch the boy work on the moss. She noticed the many cuts and other injuries on him and the other two at the fire. "What happened to you three? You look like you just faced an army alone." She whispered as she buried herself into the soft moss. Inhaling deeply, Selia continued to watch the elf in front of her. He fascinated her. Especially his facial expression, eyes in particular. Like they were hiding something entirely obvious that everyone was overlooking.

Ryan shrugged. "I guess. I think she lost her memory though. Which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it." He said, coming to sit next to Boothe. "Not trying to be offensive, but you like you've gone to hell and came back. You should sleep now." Ryan said quickly, pushing gently on Boothe's shoulder.

Sebastian sighed. "Don't worry about it." he replied. His mother had taught him not to give patients with memory loss lengthy answers or anything that would confuse them. "It's just from being in the woods for so long." he looked up and smiled at her, then returned to the moss. "How do you feel?" he asked, changing the subject.
Boothe let out a breathy laugh. "None taken. I think I'll just sleep right here." he said. He took his time laying down, for he was extremely sore and his leg was throbbing again.

Selia smiled back. "Fine actually. My back kind of throbs a little but it's going away. I heal fast... My mom made sure I would before she left in case something happened to me." Her whisper was still soft, but now it was choked with emotion. "What's your name?" Selia asked quickly, not wanting to talk about her past mother and father. She was alone now, or almost alone.

Ryan nodded and walked over the Sebastian and Selia, sitting down on Sebastian's other side. He waved to Selia and smiled. Looking back at Sebastian, he glanced at Selia intently. "What's wrong with her?" He mouthed quickly, knowing Sebastian would see.

Sebastian quickly shook his head at Ryan. He smiled at Selia. "Sebastian. This is Ryan." he nodded towards him as he spoke. He then set down the knife and wrapped the moss around her, reaching under her back carefully as he pulled it from under her. He tightened it then then tied it with two ends he had made. "How's that feel?" he asked as he finished.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 03, 2011 4:19 pm

Selia sat up again, feeling the moss pull tight against her back but stopping the throbbing. "Great. And I'm Selia. Nice to meet you." She said, dragging her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. Her eyebrows knotted together in thought. Something about all this was familiar, but Selia couldn't figure out what. It was like someone was covering her eyes with a blindfold and she could barely make out the shapes in front of her.

Ryan smiled and raised a hand as Sebastian introduced him . "Nice to meet you, too. Uh.. I'll bring some of the fire over here... It's kind of dark." Ryan stood up and went to the embers, picking up some the smoldering sticks and bringing them back. Pushing some brush together with his feet, Ryan soon had a blaze going. Sitting by the fire, he patted the ground next to him. "You guys are going to get cold. And Valik might not see you when he comes back."

Sebastian looked over at Boothe. Then it struck him. What took him so long? he wondered. His eyes widened, and he glanced at Selia and Ryan. Did Boothe do this to her? No, Boothe couldn't have. But he had the motive to along with the time. Sebastian turned to Selia. "So do you remember how this happened?" he asked. His mother would have scolded him for asking such a question in her state.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 04, 2011 4:14 pm

Selia's confused expression turned to desperation. "Not at all. I don't remember anything, but all of this is so familiar. I think.." Selia doubled over in pain, a burst of light overtaking her mind like fire. Memories of her vision from the dream came crashing into her head, flashing through like a television show with horrible reception. When the flashing images ended, Selia's head swam as she caught her breath, body shaking. She looked at Sebastian and Ryan for answers. "I think I saw something and it scared me."

Ryan flinched as Selia spoke, the desperation and fear in her voice cutting through him like a cold blade. The fire cast shadows across his face, making him look gaunt and terrified. "Sebastian, what do you think she saw?" He barely breathed this, making the same possible conclusion as Sebastian had. And what about Valik? Boothe was upset about him too... Ryan's eyes widened as he pieced together the possible puzzle.

Sebastian's jaw clenched. He was just about convinced this was all Boothe. And Valik, usually he would return by now, no matter how upset he was. Without considering other possibilities, Sebastian was up and approaching Boothe with clenched fists and flared nostrils.
