Raven is now, a vampire. A psychic vampire, but a vampire none the less. She feeds off the souls of others to keep herself alive. Though Raven, you only need to feed once per day...right now. The more you feed, the more you will need to feed, and the bigger the sources will have to be. But Maddick was hundreds of years old before he had to worry about that. So, technically, you fed today already, your ok for the rest of the day. 3nodding
If you dont willingly feed, you wont drain a person. Though if you refuse it for too long, your body will demand, and begin suckin it from people close to you. If there are many people, it would only make them drowsy or sleepy. If there is one...God help him....because he's going to be meeting his god soon.
As for undead, and your average vampires, or Darsh. He's dead, he has no life to feed off of. Trying to feed off his unlife will have a reverse effect and will drain you of life. Which is to say, if you try and eat a zombie, you'll start dying.
As it stands, you really wont need to cripple someone to feed. As you see, when you gave that man his energy back you were still perfectly ok. Thats because your soul wasnt yet used to feeding so it drank a bit too much. But as Maddick said, you learn quickly. You should be entirely safe with just a little nibble here and there for now, it'll take a bit before you need more than that. But with each drain, you will become a bit stronger, faster, quicker, more alert. And directly before completely running out of energy you will get an insane burst a sort of frenzy for your life.
Oh and lastly, you dont really need to eat food anymore. You can still fully enjoy it, your body will process and digest it just fine. But it wont hunger, you feed off....other...things now.

I've always considered vamps psychic vamps, what with drinking the sanguine humor and such. Then again, I love Kindred of the East. ^_^;;
