@ Sun: I never actually expected that much to blow up... but Max kept making it bigger, so I scaled up on what I'd usually use. Still fits with the character, since even by my other reconing it could have gotten there just by putting more MP into it. And since I never did define a cap on MP it didn't bother me too much... I kinda just went by percentage based on how much more fight I expected there to be.

Question!
My cousin just got an email that her account, BlondeMuts, is banned due to botting. However, she has no clue why they claim she has been botting. I don't know you you bot, so I ask you, o wise people of the OOC thread:
How do you bot? Does it require a certain programme? A webpage? Can you bot without being aware of the fact?

Psh no. Yous guys havent destroyed much.
Considering the estimated size of what is supposed to be a big city.
I'd say you only destroyed 1/10th of it so far.
You'll have to do a lot bettar to catch up to our damage level.
Plans, Mountains, Durem, Desert, Strata..
I don't know where we're going after Strata. I just know at the end everything will be gone.

Yus to all of that.
It's generally something that automatically refreshes your page for you after so long. You leave it going on something like Gaia, and you gets gold for every refresh.
:rubs the bridge of his nose: I imagine there are also bots you can aquire to do stuff like fishing where it casts your line FOR you every couple of seconds.
Regardless they ban you EVEN if someone has simply bought something from you using botted gold, it's killing the art threads, specially auctions.

should check to make sure that the account is actualy banned... I had a couple of scam attempts sent to my email stare that is why I no longer display my MSN

Rave and Sunny: And even if you explain the situation to the Gaia staff, the account will remain banned and you will not get your items back? (That would suck - my Staff of The Angels is on that account, I lent it to her a while back.)

okay, so I belive that they have admins who deal specificaly with this stuff... need to contact one of them and ask for some specifics... you guys might be able to get the account back up if it is a case of mistakenly buying something from a bot

Nedyfay Norrell We already sent an email saying that we truly haven't got the foggiest why my cousin should have been botting. Poor girl is pretty distraught. I seriously hope we can get that account back up...
Can botting be caused by a virus? Just examining every possibility here... because banning an account for buying something from an illegal account does not sound right at all... that would be like the police arresting and prosecuting someone for buying a perfectly legal item from what appeared to be a legitame company... unless the police can prove that you knew the seller was doing something illegal, all they can do is confiscate the item, and then you are out the cost and the item sweatdrop so it sounds to me that the admins need to have proof that your cousin knew she was buying from a bot, ot botting herself before they can do more than confiscate the item or gold...

Rave: How can one prove that they had no idea they were botting? Sounds like their word against ours, and sad to say, our word is worth ziltch.
