I stop eating and look to Nyx. "You say that like you don't like to pick locks. If so I'll make sure to to bug you about it!" I say cheerfully.

I eat slowly and silently while gazing off into the distance as if in deep thought.

Layla: {WIS 15: 11} {Catch 10: 7} {DEX 14: 13} Your distance hardly increases at all, but this time you have a harder time landing. You do it fine, but almost trip. You hear Nyx telling you that breakfast is ready.

"Vela, be a dear and bring me some water could you" Willow sat at the table, eating her food politely.

I smile and nod as Sand-Claw seems excited about my lockpicking skills, but then turn my attention to my food and eat it rather delicately as I look about at the other people at the table.

I had seen Layla's latest attempt to be rocketed into the air. "Try adjusting to air currents and angling your wings a little differently to get higher. If needed, try pumping your wings a little. Even if you can't fly, it'll still give you some lift. Maybe try running to get some lift if the air currents aren't decent enough. Think like a roadrunner. How else do you think they get on top of buildings?"

"That's what I've been trying, I need to work out how to get the blast to be more effective, this isn't exactly the specialty of my power, so it's a bit tricky. Unfortuanately, I can't exactly do something as fine as adjusting air currents right now, the brute force smiting blast is what I've got to work with right now. If the light were hotter, than there could also be thermal drafts to ride... Oh well, thought for another time!" I reply, turning into thinking aloud at the end. I sit down at an area on the table who's seat remains unclaimed and begin to eat, taking time to look polite, but not too long that it becomes a stalling hinderance.

Willow: Vela rushes into the other room and returns with a glass of clear water. "Here you are, Ms. Reaper," she says politely.
Everyone: We can time skip whenever you're all ready.

Giving her thanks, something she was begining to get used to, she placed the glass in front of her and attempted to make a ball of water hover and then turn it to ice midair.

Everyone: After an enjoyable breakfast, you all teleport back to town. {Event Roll d20: 17} You all walk to the forest where you kicked the Reds' asses yesterday. From there, you walk three and three-quarters ground miles (five and three-quarters total when you add in going up and down the mountain). You cross a single mountain, a small swamp, and two forests (the first is relatively small, the other is twice the size). Half a mile after the last forest, you all pause. If you continue west, toward the Challenge, you would have to walk along the base of a volcano. But according to Willow's map, there is a Red Army unit just half a mile south of your location, near a lake. If you go south a bit, but not a full half-mile, you can avoid both the volcano AND the Reds. Your characters don't know this, but you have two more tiles of map before you hit an event, so if you want to cheap out on the event, you can just use those two tiles to go for the Reds. Or you can make it interesting and avoid the Reds, just to see what other event I can cook up.
