I'm just getting Vahn/Viper flashbacks, and the bad kind.

Yeah, he wouldn't. And the words I'm about to use resemble that far too much:
"I never thought it would come to that."
What happens next is a new thing I've never used before, nor been in the situation where it would have been used. Came up with it a couple of weeks ago, it's more of a consequence of doing big things rather than a big thing that gets done. I basically limited it happening to after certain big ability uses. Didn't think it'd come out until HE THREW A BUILDING AT ME.
edit: I don't see any upscaling on the damage ratio of what just happened and what will happen, though. There's not going to be any 10 mile craters or anything. It's going to happen in one of two ways, because it's written to happen in one of two ways in my rulebook, and while the latter is potentially a kaboom, it's not going to wipe out any more of the city.
