The question is, should anyone have guns?

Or should everyone be able to have a gun to even the playing field?

In which case, where's all the heroic shootings? Where people take out bank robbers, or shoot up some ring of child porn locations.

I'd like to see some of that on the news, instead of people hitting up schools.. talk2hand

Usually I'd be inclined to disagree with you, but the track record in other parts of the world seem to show that people are much safer where nobody is allowed to have guns than when they are. In both england and australia, everyone seems to be incredibly happy that their government eventually decided to take away firearms. Even the ones who fought to keep their firearms eventually looked back and saw that this course of action turned out for the better. So, while I am a firm believer in the second amendment, I don't think we can argue with facts. No guns is far safer than having more guns.
