As soon as Galen entered the store, he felt soothed. Quiet, with books galore... Oh, yes, he would like it here! His shirt sleeve was a little damp from trying to share his umbrella with Luka, but Galen didn't really mind. "Where's the fantasy section? I wonder if they have any historical fiction, or maybe some good biographies..." Galen was a little worried he would end up ignoring Luka for the books - he tended to get lost in fictional worlds. He glanced around, looking for directional signs. Something in him was itching for a good book.
"Maybe they carry spanish books..." Galen mumbled to himself, hoping he could brush up his second language a little. "Luka," He faced his friend, trusting she would know the store layout better than him. "Lead me to the books. Show me a whole new world." Galen smiled.

It was warmer inside and felt pleasant compared to the current weather. He was a little wet but managed to stay under the cover of the buildings, for the most part. The store was nice, he needed a place for books, he hadn't had time to go shopping for anything in the past few days. He would wander through the shelves of books before stumbling upon the religion and philosophy section. He could read other things but he was curious to see what he could find. He needed some copies of what the monks taught him as well. He would look down the shelves before finding a small pocket size copy of the Dao De Jing. Luka Willfer " Why can't anyone see me as the young woman I am?" As Galen and Luka walked into the store Luka ruffled her wet blonde hair again before taking off her glasses as they had started to fog up again. She giggled lightly at her friend as she de fogged her glasses with a dry part of her sweater. "Follow me good sir and I shall lead you to what you are looking for." She said with another giggle before leading him the way to were Galen wanted to go. She took the umbrella out of Galen's hand as she knew he would want both hand's to look and hold books. She looked around the store as Galen looked for his book and she looked to see if there was anything she would want to read. Nothing really caught her eye at them moment it seemed until she noticed a book that caught her eye. The only problem was that it was on the top shelf were Luka couldn't reach. Looking up at the book for a minute Luka moved closer to the shelf to see if it was posable for her to reach if she went on her tippy toes. No, nothing, not even close. Sighing the blonde put on her glasses and tried again. "Come on... Galen paused in his search for books, turning to see if he could help Luka. "I doubt I can reach, but..." Galen stretched and went on his tiptoes, even jumping a little. He still failed to reach Luka's desired book. "Sorry, I guess we're both too short! Although if we managed to fuse, and form a giant monster..." Galen laughed. "Um, see if you can find a tall person. I need to gather books, but I'll keep my eye out for you." He made a last glance up at the book - so close, yet so far - and then began to browse the aisles. Galen saw an interesting book (a murder mystery!), and took it off the shelf after reading the back cover. Then he picked up another, and another, and soon he had a large stack.
"Um..." Galen frowned. He had seven books so far, but he'd just found a series that looked really, really good. Maybe he'd just get the first one - but what if he reached the end, and it was a huge cliffhanger? Cliffhangers ruined his book-reading moods. Galen could power through a series, but only if he read it all at once. No missing books, no reading something else in between, just reading until he finished or fell asleep. If he wanted the series, he'd have to get it all; five books, plus a bonus minibook of extras. Could he carry all that home? Galen nibbled on his lip, shifting his weight. Unfortunately, the top books on his seven-book stack began to slip. He tried to stop them from sliding off by tilting, but Galen just ended up falling on his butt. "At least the books aren't damaged..." He sighed, propping himself up on his elbows.

Jun Lee ====================================================================================================================================================================================================================== Jun would fold up the book as he continued to pass some of the shelves he'd notice a smaller young woman looking up at the tall shelves as he passed by. He would stop and the turn around casually walking into view, standing in front of the isle, he'd look to her with a small pleasant smile and ask: "Miss do you need help by chance?" He'd ask in a kind voice, but not looking down on her. He would take a step or two down the isle. It looked like she needed help but he didn't want to be too endearing. He understood that people like to do things on their own. A moment later he'd turn around to hear the loud clamor of books falling to the ground. He'd give the young woman a strange look before chuckling softly to himself. He'd look to her and say: "Just one moment, let me go see what that was" He'd rush over to one of the isles to notice someone upon the floor with books scattered all over upon the floor. "Are you alright?" He'd ask sincerely and concerned. ======================================================================================================================================================================================================================

Luka Willfer " Why can't anyone see me as the young woman I am?" Luka took a step back as she let her friend try the book she was seeking but not even a few little inch's of being taller could help Luka. Why did everything she needed have to be so tall and out of her reach!? Even back at her house she has to either get a chair or climb up on the counter to get a cup and put it away. Why did people make thing's so far up!? She didn't understand this as there was short people in this world to! Tall people could always bend over but short people couldn't grow a few extra inches on the spot. "Thanks Gal." She said as she watched Gal walk off to look for his book. Sighing Luka looked back up at the book she wanted to get before looking around he to see if anyone was around. If no one was looking she would climb up the shelf and get the book. Looking around again to see if it was clear Luka was just about to reach up onto the shelf and start climbing when she heard someone close by making her back away from the book shelf "Huh?" She noticed a man looking her way and she blinked a bit surprised because of two things. One: he called her miss and not sir and two: He came up to her to offer her help. She was about to answer him she she too heard a thud and for some reason she had an idea where the thud came from. She quickly followed the man who offered her help to see her best friend on the ground. "Gal are you okay?" She asked a little worried as she kneeled down beside him to see if he was okay. She was about to ask him what happened but she noticed all the books and sighed. Galen winced as he tried to sit up - he'd landed right on his tailbone. That would probably bruise, and he had a few spots on his spine that he suspected weren't happy with his fall. Otherwise, Galen was just fine - a little embarrassed that he'd fallen, but nobody had seen, right?
Galen was proven wrong as both Luka and an unfamilliar man appeared before him. "I'm fine, thank you." Galen gave the man a smile, pushing himself into a sitting position and starting to gather up the books he'd dropped. His tailbone hurt, but there wasn't much to do about it, so what was the point of complaining? Besides, he didn't want to bother them. Galen shook his head a Luka. "You were trying to get to your own book. Besides, I can normally carry one or two more on my own..." He was a little embarrassed, ducking his head and grabbing the last book from his stack. Now he just had to get back up, and that wouldn't be too hard, would it?

It was quite a mess for being just a handful of books on the floor. He'd have a pleasant look on his face as he worked, he didn't mind helping someone out. After all it look like a bad fall, despite the awkward circumstances of it all. After gathering a few books in his arms he'd stand back up and offer his hand to the male to help him off the ground. "I know I'm a stranger, but if you needed, I could help hold both of your books if you two need it." He would ask in a polite voice. "I really don't have anything else to do" Jun would give a small smile to them both. ======================================================================================================================================================================================================================

Luka Willfer " Why can't anyone see me as the young woman I am?" "So? I wouldn't mind holding just a few of your book's and you saw that I wasn't getting anywhere with that book. You just had to ask." The blonde sighed as she took a couple of Galen's book's for her to hold. " I will carry some of your book's and if you find anymore that you like just hand them over to me okay? We don't want you falling over again now do we?" She stated as she looked over Galen to see if he was hurt in any way as it looked like he took a big fall. She got up and was about to help Galen get up but she then noticed the man offered his hand to help him up. She blinked and fixed her glasses as she was surprised by the man's kindness. She looked back down at Galen and just gave him a slight shrug as she was letting him know that she did not care if he wanted his help or not as it was up to him. Luka was always the type not to talk to people she didn't know, she always was a shy one when you first meet Luka but it didn't take to long for her to warm up people. "... Alright." Galen accepted the man's hand, pulling up to standing, ignoring his tailbone's protest. He would just have to be careful sitting on it for the next few weeks, then it'd heal up. "Thank you. I'm Galen Hoann, and this is my friend Luka." Turning to his friend, Galen made a face at her. "And I don't want to make you carry my books. If I fall over it's my fault." He laughed. Galen didn't want to bother them if they were doing their own thing. Although he might need a bag or something to carry his books home after buying them... Maybe he could call a cab?

He'd look to them both and give a small but friendly smile. "Well it's lovely to meet you Galen, and Luka. My name is Jun. Well if you don't want my help maybe we can find an associate, or maybe some shopping basket for your books." He'd pivot his head to look for something of the sort. Before remembering his attempt to help Luka a moment ago. He'd turn back towards her. Oh, can I still help you get that book you were after?" He'd ask kindly. Sometimes he got himself too busy, always trying to help different people at the same time. He realize he needed to focus more on one task at a time, but the fall was urgent wasn't it? Luka stated before she turned her head and nodded her head to Jun as a way as a way of saying hello. She never really knew how to act when she met new people because if she act her normal self she figured that she end up scaring them off so it was just best she found to stay quiet for the first bit before she let herself be lost in her normal loud fun self. When Jun asked if she wanted help with the book she wanted she blinked a bit surprised and fixed her glasses a bit. "Uh... If you wouldn't mind that would be great. Thank you." "Nice to meet you, Jun." Galen smiled. "A basket would probably be best, yeah..." He mentally chided himself for not thinking of that sooner; it would've saved him from falling. Galen looked around, searching for anything of the sort. He spotted some down the aisle, and he pardoned himself to go get one. A few quick strides brought him to the stack of baskets, and he grabbed one off the top before heading back to Jun and Luka. "Tah-da! Now you guys don't have to carry any books, and I don't have to fall any more." Galen laughed.
