Cockiness was making the captain bold, almost wreckless. With Tsui lashed out at her she didn't even bother to block or dodge it. The senshi's fist smacked into her face, turned her head, but she brought it back around with a hungry grin stretching across lips painted in violet and red. A brilliant splash of blood at the corner of her mouth that stood out in high contrast against pale skin. A flick of her tongue touched the edge, smeared it, and she laughed. "Come on Tsui, you can do better then that!"

Voices pulled her attention, drawing grey eyes in quick flick to the side to take in the two senshi that were making their way towards the stage. It wiped the smile from her face, lip curling in bitter annoyance. "They weren't invited," she hissed, glaring across the stage at the Senshi of Tigers. As if this was all her fault. As if she'd actually called for help.

It wasn't fair!

"I'm disappointed in you, Kitten." She was stalking forward again, knuckles molted with how tightly her fists were clenched around the brass knuckles. "Hiding behind your friends. Are you really so weak?" Every word was a vicious p***k to the other girl's pride. Needling and biting at her. She was furious. How dare their fight get interrupted!

The approaching auras were almost on top of them, and the captain let out a frustrated, cheated scream as she rushed forward again. Her left arm snapped out, grabbing at Tsui's collar, but not quite gaining the hold she was hoping for as her right fist came forward and up, knuckles aimed for the tiger's stomach.

Ida saw Tsui strike the captain, saw her take the hit and grin. Great... another officer who reveled in the chaos, like so many of the others. It was like they were all like that... or maybe it was just that as one fell deeper and deeper into chaos, they lost more and more of their humanity. It wouldn't surprise her... she hadn't had the best expiriences so far.

The officer saw them land behind Tsui and it seemed to enrage her as she lashed at the tiger senshi. Ida didn't wait to see if it connected, what damage she did to her friend, or even what danger it would place herself in... she body checked the officer with her shoulder down, throwing her weight into the tackle.

"Back off!" She shouted as she rushed the officer. Ida never really was one for witty one-liners.

The backstage.

It lingered not far from here, where he managed to call a profusion of youma to assist his cause. Their cause. To bathe the world in anarchy... This was the first step - he had to prime the city with complete and total chaos, ethical chaos, moral chaos, before one might saturate it with the very power that bubbled violently through each and every one of his peers. Ambitious, but necessary. And certainly planned.

For he had the help of the universe - all things meandered toward entropy. It wouldn't be long, now.

And with the senshi working at the door - one by one attempting to break it down and free the people they so desperately held dear, they ran the risk of assisting him. And how many senshi here today might see his face and blanch, or better, sneer? To know that they've only paved the road for him... No, they would scoff at the idea - insist that they hadn't helped one iota, that this entire charade was his adaptation, wouldn't they?

It's easy to dismiss someone once they're labeled as insane.

Bischofite halted at the threshold. The backstage loomed darkly, a nest of shadows and rituals and backstock of tainted merchandise. Once he set foot in there, he'd have to concentrate. Was it possible twice? He had help before; could he do it alone? It would be worth the risk, for certain - as the senshi would now drown in iniquitous beasts and likely capitulate to save themselves. And that would be fine - to live with such a cowardly decision was to poison oneself with cyanide. He liked it. He liked it a lot. He liked it enough to smile even, at nothing, at the darkness. Yes, this would be an acceptable turn of events, even if his attempts lent to failure.

But the moment he set foot in the deep shadows, a familiar voice called out rage so fierce that he felt an echo just beneath his skin.

Xenotime.

He leaned back, peering up the steps. Though he hardly had sight of her now, the sound of blows became readily apparent if he concentrated. Above the chaos... As a soldier, it was her duty to fend them off. And she served that duty loyally, given her tone of voice and repeated blows peeling out over the steady cacophony.

And he needed help.

Bischofite fled into the shadows at once, seeking the area beneath the stage. After feeling around for a lone light switch, he flipped it to reveal a bare bulb hanging idly in the midst of what looked like a storage room. Toward the center he found a clearing, where all the dusty knickknacks and props were pushed aside for a clear swatch of flooring. Judging by the collected dust, this area of the stage hadn't been used in years. And with their footwork above him, he needed only to listen for when one of them struck the trapdoor above him.

He closed his eyes. Cast aside extraneous thought. Listened. Yes, one approached. The hastened patter of footsteps grew steadily louder. This individual climbed the stairs... crossed the stage, steady now... And with generous strength, he released the catch and stepped back for his target to fall through the sudden gaping hole in the stage.

And the senshi in question was one he'd met time and again. He smiled at the Orchid Senshi, breath quietly drawn beneath his teeth.

Oh, this will be fun.

Athene had been close behind Ida as they made their way over to Tsui's aid, but Ida had still reached the stage first, launching herself at the purple-haired Nega-Captain who had been about to swing out at their team mate and friend again.

By that time Athene had reached Tsui, glancing at the Tiger senshi as he asked quietly "Are you okay?"

A creaking noise had him glancing back in Ida's direction just in time to see a trapdoor open up under the Orchid senshi but too late for him to do anything.

And it left him with a dilemma - did he stay with Tsui or go after Ida.

Titanlåvenite was still...stuck. He heard the little dark senshi's complaints and honestly he kind of agreed. But wow was it an effective sort of attack! Bazzite must have no trouble at all when he was out hunting starseeds if he could do the same to whole groups. There's just be a crowd of frozen people and he coudl go from chest to chest tearing starseeds- it was chilling. As it was he and the little black and yellow sushi were just stuck there at the mercy of the scouts near the door. Not that they seemed to be acting on it. Maybe the dust stuff was still dangerous of doing the same to them.

Schörl hissed and threw her victim aside, turning her attention back to the mayhem, picking out the clusters of senshi and agents here and there- concentrations for certain near the stage and the doors. It looked like those that she'd been playing with had decided to go play with another Captain and the General. The agents near the doors weren't moving?

No, they were stiff as boards. And the civilians, senshi and allies were busy as bees still at the doors. There was a massive Youma there, at least. That will be the place to hit then. They need a bit more of distraction.

She trotted in the direction of the doors, considered the dust and decided to stay out of the ring of it. How to reach the enemy then? Bingo- She picked up an over turned table to throw at the green vested, not-bloodied-enough dudefella near the doors. "Heads up, handsome!"

His second attempt to help try get the front doors open went about as well as his first attempt - which meant that the doors still remained stubbornly shut at the end of it.

A voice calling out heads up something, had him turning, but it was too late. soaring green eyes widening at the large shape flying in his direction.

Instinct had him trying to duck out of the way, but he was only partially successful - the thing didn't hit him head on. Instead it hit the door at speed and smashed, bits of table flying everywhere.

A bit of broken table leg that knocked into him and shards fell down on him as Falias tried his hardest to keep his head down.

The door, however, had somehow managed to stay intact and as he managed to regain his feet, Falias suddenly realised that he had other problems as the sudden dark aura of a Nega-Captain pinged on his senses - a close-by dark aura.

Well s**t.

The sight of Athene and Ida coming to her aid was both pleasant and perhaps a little troublesome. Not because of Xenotime's angered shouts or her own pride taking a beating for having to rely on someone else's support, but because now it'd mean that she'd be putting them in danger. But, it was a risk that she knew they were willing to take for her, just as she was willing to take for them, and in response to Xenotime's little tantrum, the Senshi of Tigers actively poked her tongue out at her, in hopes of driving the anger deeper. "Nah, takes a lot of strength to stand by your friends, I've come to find out... but you wouldn't know a thing about that, now would you?"

It earned her a punch to the stomach, and Tsui suspected that the liquid she felt trickling down her lips was likely bile or saliva at this point. If there was time, she would have tried to explain to Xenotime how she was once like her, a loner that cared only for the thrill of the fight, that's pride refused to allow her to accept help, even when she so desperately needed it. If Tsui was a better person, she might have tried to coax Xenotime into understanding that there was no shame in accepting help, or standing by your friends, but she could only do so much. Not to mention, it'd come off as extremely preachy, and that was just something that Tsui had no desire in doing. Leave that for Athene or Ida...

Tsui was more than happy to carry on her fight with her friends, but seeing Ida fall through the floor made her curse, and she wasted no time in looking at Athene and helping him with his decision. "s**t, go after her! I'm going to take care of this fight-happy b***h and join you as soon as I can! Keep Ida safe!"

Which meant that Tsui could waste no more time with Xenotime. As engaging as their fight had been, Tsui cared more for her friend's safety and lives than settling any score with this one, and with Xenotime still so close, she wrapped an arm under her neck and chin, hoping to cut off her air supply and render her unconscious, or in the very least dazed. And if that didn't do the trick, she was certain that the next set of blows to her head should do it. She just needed enough time to help Ida!

Pasiphae hated to feel helpless. She hated having to stand there like a statue while a knight (Falias) struggled to break down the door, a Captain (Schorl) close on his heels. Or Phact and the muscle-bound Titan. She tried with every ounce of strength she could muster to move.

And all she could manage was the wiggling of a finger. Whatever Bazzite had done to her seemed to affect the Corrupted Senshi (Vespa) as well, but it was a carrion comfort. She continued her struggles to get free.

Athene nodded as Tsui spoke, his face solemn. He wanted to tell his friend and fellow team mate to be careful but bit back the words knowing that the Tiger senshi was tough. Instead he said quietly "I'll see you later," before turning and heading cautiously for the open trap door.

Once he reached the gaping hole in the stage, he called down "Ida I'm on my way" before jumping, hoping as he did so that he didn't end up landing on his friend.

Ida's wasn't the only aura he could sense, he could sense a Nega-General's aura down there too.

Xenotime was still shrieking her rage as one of the party crashing senshi rushed in and forced her away with a solid check to the shoulder. It made her stagger, and her heel snapped against the stag as she she fought to keep her balance. Silver eyes blazed as she took in the new comer. A super, some floral, frilly sphere no doubt. How she would love to crush that flower in her palm. To squeeze until petals tore and fell away..

But no. They wouldn't give her that chance. They instead came at her in threes. The captain twitched her eyes from one to the next, noting the second pair of pale wings, and for just a handful of seconds she felt the stacking of odds, and not in her favor.

Tsui's voice tore her attention back to her, and she preached on about friendship it made the captain's lip curl. How high handed. How incredibly.. Ironic.

The floor fell beneath the unknown senshi of flowers, and Xenotime watched as the girl fell into darkness. She blinked, momentarily perplexed, before the heavy presence of a dark aura told her she was not, as Tsui had believed, so very alone. It made her smile, a cold, wild grin that melted into low chuckles. Chuckles that grew, bubbling into laughter. "Not as alone as you thought, huh?" It was just so hilarious!

"Kitty, you're so funny!" She was almost doubled over. It made it easy for Tsui to get an arm around her neck. To jerk her back against the senshi's body and squeeze. It was a shock, it for precious few seconds the captain was too stunned to react. Darkness at at the corners of her vision, cold spread up her fingers. There was a quick, fleeting moment of panic, and then..

Crack!

Xenotime braced her heels into the stage. She grabbed the senshi's arms and yanked, loosening her grip. Enough to move. Enough to pull her head forward before slamming it back with everything she had into the other girl's brow. Hard enough that dark spots danced across her own vision. Hard enough that her grip slackened, and her knees weakened before she pulled herself together and tore free of the tiger's grip.

Bischofite was there, she could feel him beneath the stage. If she finished off Tsui, she could join him.

Through darkness and shadow to stand at the general's side.

Leda was glad to see another soul attempting to break down the door. The lock looked battered and barely clinging to the doors, but it still held fast when one tried to simply tug the beaten metal off its holes. Falias' attempt did little to sway the lock, though he hadn't much time before a Negaverse captain captured his attention. Leda knew she should be helping to defend him, to match the captain considering her position as a super senshi, but she desperately wanted to give everyone the opportunity to escape this place.

Alive.

"Keep trying!" She called to him, and though she was distracted by his plight, she attempted one final blow on the lock. However, her boot only clipped the lock and rattled it in the doors. Little came of her efforts - rather, it looked like her friends were making all the progress here.

All she was doing entailed battering a door. And she couldn't really make progress in that.

Leda sighed, and tears welled in her eyes, but she knew she had to keep trying - else her friends might fall in battle.

Adonis would've returned his retort in equal measure, were there not a tightened sash around his neck, but his luck held and he soon found release. As soon as he was able, the Skin Senshi tugged the loose fabric from his neck and attempted escape.

Attempted being the operative word.

A knee to his back sent him sprawling forward in a strained grunt of pain. His face met the floor just as his hand met his back, and he struggled for a moment with the throbbing pain before he could finally draw himself upward again. Table leg reacquired (thanks to the poor soul who dropped it), Adonis drew back and threw it at his intended target.

However, as luck would have it, the senshi only suffered a glancing blow. Inwardly, Adonis cursed himself for scoffing at all offers of sports while he was in high school. At least a little baseball practice would've saved him from this glorious failure.

The tackle had done its job, the officer was forced back from Tsui and it gave them room to function better as a team. It always seemed that when they fought alone they inevitably failed, but when they stood together... nothing could stand against them. Normal foes rethought their advantage and monsters burst into dust with ease. This time would be the same and Ida felt a swelling of courage to have her friends at her side.

What she didn't count on, however, was the feel of a dark aura nearby before the ground suddenly disappeared beneath her feet. Its a terrifying sensation to suddenly feel yourself falling when you expected firm ground. Her mind reeled in confusion as she threw her arms out to catch herself, a girlish shriek breaking from her throat. Had the stage caved in? It had felt solid under her boots before... how far was it to the floor? Were her friends okay?

Her boots hit the floor with a jolt that ran up her shins to make her knees ache and she grunted as they collapsed and she fell hard onto her backside. Other, more graceful senshi might have made the landing with more ease, but the surprise of falling even such a short distance had taken all of her cat-like reflexes away from her, if she'd ever had any.

The orchid senshi took quick stock of her surroundings as she scrambled to her feet again, noting the small storage space, the bare light bulb... and the negaverse general smiling at her, standing far too close for her comfort. A flash of fear and anger rushed through her as she put more space between them, hearing her team mates above calling for her.

"Bischofite." She hissed.
